Vapir Prima

Hi mr.mellish.
I'm having the same issue. My prima has some material gunked under the drilled base plate, and it's making a terrible burning flavor. Could you tell me what you did about it? Did you send it to vapir to be fixed? I can't even use it anymore because of the flavor and it feels terrible on the nose while I vaporize, like if my nose was burning inside.
Thanks!

Hi @Vaporsearch ,

All I do is put the mouthpiece, cap, screened gasket, brush and tube in 91% iso for 20-30 minutes, then rinse.

Hello, please recommend some vapir prima case. Something just for the device in your pocket.

Happy to see some talk here. Never understood why this vape never got the hype in FC.... maybe cause most are looking at cloud production... yes the Prima is more a sipper but it produces very satisfying clouds and it's one of the rare vaporizers I use at low temp everytime (start on level2 for one cycle and jump at 3 and 4 for another cycle).

Although I never carry it with me... don't know why cause it's not big at all, but I prefer to use it at home...

Usually, problems with devices on the forum are solved. Clearly you can seem, that Vapir is seamless. Users have no problems. :-D

If there is a thicker magnet on the lid and a less sensitive button, it will be the perfect device.

That's why I want a pouch in my pocket.

Well… it has been a Vapir kind of day.
I rekindled my love early in the day of my Vapir Rize….A half hour session that consumed 1.1 grams, and left me comfortable for a couple of hours!
.33 of a gram fit into the loading disk of the Vapir One 5.0…. and left me smooth and disk depleted. An hour well spent.
I busted out with the Prima after lunch, and did 2 sessions… one with flower, and one with concentrate(wax) on the mesh pad.
Next. a pre-dinner treat using the Vapir Oxygen Mini… .25 of a gram.
This brings us up to the moment… I have a small scoop of .1 of a gram in the NO2 (7 years old.. only one battery change at year 3).. and the NO2 session just won't end!!
There is a reason the NO2 is still on the top 3 of the original part of my signature.

Now for a tidbit…. a piece of Vaporization History that is not well known.
While I have other favorite vapes… the NO2's medicating effect always felt different to me, and I loved the unit.. (I have owned this one for 7 years)
This was when I learned about the difference between convection and conduction.
The Oxygen Mini came early on, but needed to be plugged in… even though it was tiny. You could get an external rechargeable battery pack, the size of half a brick… but I always used mine plugged in.
Vapirs Vaporizers are all convection vapes.
NO2 was fore-runner in the technology of convection Portables, and the portables that followed began to grasp at conduction technology. (tight oven = less battery power consumed Vs. heated air passing through standing herbal matter)
AS far as Convection Technology, Vapir has remained consistent, and steadfast in pursuit of convection devices.
How do I know?
I have stayed in contact with this company through the years.
I found that they have held the first patent on convection vaporization, since 2007.
You can view it at
Patent for Convection Vapor Technology.
Any way, I have just expressed respect for Vapir, a company that has not faltered...
and I owe them a great deal as I learned from their devices!

No2 was our first vape, we where lucky it was.

It was our introduction into the vaping world.

How can you compare the Prima to the NO2

Both convection devices, The NO2 stays cool to the touch, as the oven is well insulated from the surface of the unit.
The prima heats up fast, and gives tasty hits, but the session is shorter, because it seems to use the herb more efficiently. The unit does get very warm to the touch... back to back sessions making the unit itself hot.
The NO2 stays cool, as I said, and the session seems to last a bit longer.
The Prima is more stealthy if you wish to not be seen using the unit at all.
The NO2 while not as stealthy gives the appearance of sipping soda through a straw from a bottle.
While I realize the Prima is more technologically advanced, I enjoy using the NO2 more.
No2 was our first vape, we where lucky it was.
It was our introduction into the vaping world.
While I had been vaping using older fashioned tools (Eagle Bill , and glass dome), The NO2 was my first introduction to modern vaping world also.

I have the Prima and N02 also. I also like using the N02 more than the Prima. The N02 seems to have an easier draw. I don't have to pack the N02 tight to get good hits, the loser the pack the better the draw. The Prima has to be packed tight or you will not get any vapor. As far as convection for the Prima I always thought it was conduction. Mine gets very hot and cannot even be used without the alternate mouthpiece.

Right you are!
I just double checked the Vapir Blog.
All Vapir devices are 100% convection.... EXCEPT for the Prima which as they describe:
Convection + Conduction. The Prima uses a combination of true convection and conduction for even heat exposure, and has room built in for heated air to pass through the herb.

One year ago this week I bought a Prima, and it totally changed my world. Prior to that I had been using a No2 in the mornings, but I could not kick the bong habit at night. The Prima reminded me of my early years of smoking weed when I always used a pipe. The bowl was easy to fill and easy to empty. It seemed much more efficient than the No2. I loved the alternate 14mm mouthpiece that I could use in a bubbler, and I loved that the mesh pad allowed me to use shatter in it. Today, everything I loved about it a year ago, I still love today. I continue to use my No2 in the morning with coffee because it allows me to vape at 335F-340F which is my preferred morning temp. I normally don't vape again until after 5pm, and I usually start my Prima at temp 1 (for incredible flavor) and then switch to temp 2 a little later. I rarely go higher than that unless I'm doing shatter or I'm in need of a great night's sleep. I use the mesh pad all the time. It adds some combustion which is great for flavor, and I find it it's not fussy about how I pack the bowl (as long as I don't pack it too firmly). As soon as I began using my Prima, I loved it so much that I was able to give up my precious bong, and I've been combustion free for the year that I've had it. My only complaint about the Prima is that when I use it outdoors in the bright sun, especially at the beach, I can't see the temp lights at all. I have no idea when it gets up to temp, and I have no idea when it shuts off. I either go by my watch or I have to find some way to see it where the sun is blocked. That's not always possible, but since I don't often use it in ultra bright sun it hasn't been a big issue for me. I love this vape, and I'm just so delighted that I took a chance on it last Memorial Day weekend.

Haha, thank you! I was pretty nervous about not breaking the rules here, but I really wanted to show the Prima some love so I went for it.

Space is the Place
It's a shame, I really like my Prima and NO2 a lot. I did manage to pick up new spare batteries for both along with other necessaries to keep 'em running.

Vapir's been slipping for a while now, I've had problems on every order place directly with vapir for a few years. . . from undelivered orders to orders that arrived with outrageous shipping due after I paid for shipping on their site . . . Last straw dealing with them was ordering one of the power kits for the prima, they took my money and as far as I know never even shipped it out, I emailed and emailed but have yet to get a response.

The manufacturer itself has closed up shop almost entirely.
They do however have the Prima at about half the cost for a short time at http://www.vapir.com/prima-vaporizer
That and the Vapir pen ( http://www.vapir.com/pen-vaporizer ) are the only 2 vapes available now from the maker.
They do have a few accessories left for the now discontinued Vaporizers.
After placing many calls and emailing many of Vapir's past leaders... I got an email this morning.
While the business is listed as permanently closed, and their phones are "not working numbers".....There is still someone there at Vapir that cares!
Dear Vito,
Hope all is well with you!
We are still in business however discontinuing some of the older units.
Thank you for your support we really value your friendship!
Kind Regards,
Vapir

Are they making a new product or rebranding?
