Arizer Solo II

Maybe someone could contact Arizer about this error code? I have an Air II now so I could possibly get an error code similar to this along the road.

Mine worked after the first error5 for a day or two. Then the error5 came on every startup rendering the device useless because after the error5 code displays the unit shuts off. Before you get the error5 however there is enough time to see that the heater temp stays at the units starting temperature (70F +/-5) and jumps up and down a couple degrees instead of rocketing up to 400F like it usually does. After a couple seconds error5 displays. Perhaps when the heater doesn't work on startup the computer immediately triggers an error5 code and shuts off as a safety mechanism. That's why I assume it's a fried heater that probably isn't preventable just like the premature death of your lincoln/ford transmission.

As @exime mentioned, the first 24 hours after I got an Error5 things were kind of spotty but my Solo did work.

Then things went south, and upon each cold start I get the dreaded Error5.

If I try turning it on again, immediately it sometimes works but the temperature will read 50-70 degrees higher than room temperature (indicating the oven was heating)

I've been in touch with Arizer and will be sending my unit in under warranty.

I made it past session 500, and was closer to 525-530 when I got my first error.

I love my Solo II and still highly recommend this unit. I'm looking forward to having mine back so I can put some more miles on it - if I get a new unit, even better!!

Wow! That's too bad about these error messages on the Solo. That makes me worried. I hope they have it figured out because they just came out with a newer version of the Air with the same upgrades.

I've been having some excellent sessions with my newer Solo. I really love this vape.:leaf:

Did I need a new vape? I couldn't possibly get by on the ones I had, could I? If only buying new vaporizers decreased one's girth, like, each one you buy, poof! There goes 10 pounds.

I could be a skinny guy by now. But I must say, this Solo II I scored at Puffitup really fits this Bill. I just got it yesterday, and, its like when you fall in love again: a smile on my lips, a sparkle in my eye. Did I need it? Hardly! Am I glad I did it? Oh, yes, indeedy.

Hi @ataxian You don't need the PVHES GonGs with this unit, unless you want to use them. You can buy regular GonGs. I personally don't need them but we are all different. Arizer has opened up the air flow. Most folks aren't using screens. Just making sure that the bottom holes in the stem doesnt get clogged up. I use a toothpick occasionally. You need a more coarse flower grind.

I thought I could control my VAS?

I use my old SOLO because it won't die>

So now I want both the AIR and the SOLO 2 i

I think you would be disappointed with a solo 2..
I think I would....
It's just not a big enough change from a solo 1...
I'm sure I'll still get one at some point...

The solo is one of them vapes that everyone should own... like a vapcap...

I just still can't justify it yet.... Maybe for blackfiday if any amazing deals pop up....

Well, maybe, I mean, here, probably it make sense, since we modded the hell out of the first solo, but if you take a stock solo 1 and compare it 2, its a whole different thing.

I love the Solo II and I loved Solo 1.

I would still upgrade.

@Ratchett sells an adapter on his site www.delta3dstudios.com called: NEARLY UNIVERSAL VAPE TO WATERPIPE ADAPTER.
For me, I use it to connect Mighty, Solo I, Solo II, Herbalizer, various oil doo-dads like Yocan Cerum, etc. to my water devices. No need for glass gongs. Its the Cat's Meow. In the vernacular of my youth, its bitchin'.

Fuck I love hearing that, Kick ass! If you like that NuSonG, just wait until you see what I have planned for my v2 NuSonGs :science: :ninja:

@ataxian This is a PIU version of a PVHES at about 1/3 the price of a PVHES from PV: http://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Air-Solo-Airflow-Stem-p/qtqc.solo-stem_s-clea.htm

Also here is a link to a PIU stem that uses water for under $15 ($10 less than a GONG) : http://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Air-Solo-H2O-Filtration-Stem-p/qtqc.solo-bubb.htm

NEW SOLO 2 PLUS WATER STEM = CIVILIZED.
I actually grabbed that 1st stem you linked to for my Air 2 a few weeks ago , fitment is spot on and it provides nice vapor output , just not to sure extra airflow is needed with these new units as the flow has been perfect for me with the stock stems. Either way its a nice inexpensive option.

Also agree @Ratchett those universal adapters are awesome ,i have gotten so many different uses out of it , i'll need to pick up another soon.

I ordered a PHVES for my SOLO however their web site is messed up?
It won't let me join their mailing list?

Can't say I did not try?

Will Randy become CIVILIZED in the near future?

@sickmanfraud what is your MEDICAL issue?

Man I can't wait to add this vape to my arsenal. I can retire the mighty LSV and store away for a trusty back up.
I'm buying the Solo H2O Filtration Stem as well.
Seems like the only gripe in this thread is the error codes. That won't deter me from buying a SOLO2. Arizer is legit. My Air is still going strong for almost 1.5 years now. I've never even cleaned the oven lol. Still rocking the stock plastic tip stem.

Yes, I'm leaning toward ordering one of these to replace my LSV as my daily driver. I love my LSV though, so it might be hard to dethrone. I haven't found a portable that hangs with the LSV, yet.

Personally I don't think this can dethrown the LSV. The LSV is a beast man. This session is way chiller though, laid back, easy clouds. LSV takes more handling but you get out of it more.

I gave my brother my air og that was already two years old when he got it, its still kicking two more years later w/ no probs whatsoever.
My Solo OG with Vortex stem and my new blue Solo II work side by side as daily drivers. I can't say I like one over the other. Fast startup time is meaningless in my home setting.
