@Likestovape: yes you are right, onle a bit green at the top, but I'm a bit picky on that, do not like to waste any of the good stuff ;-)
But as all of you said, I probably have overpacket the bowl. TheVapeCritic also said that stirring is required, so I thought thats normal.

@sickmanfraud: Oh I do use the bottom screen, have just forgotten to mention this.

Clogging is not that big prblem for me, it occours at the end of a bowl more or less, for my old conduction vape clogging was more a problem!

I would agree with all other which have an issue with the battary live, but even for my last vape I used a powerbank when on the go, just have to use a bigger powerbank now!

Now my findings after first use of the modded Swift Pro:
- I was able to put in about 0.2 grams,
- after shaking a bit to lossen the herbs, the airflow was even better than stock, no clogging until now (keep in mind, I have removed all screens from the MP and use the crafty glass MP)
- just took a short session, 3 long tokes, each with impressive clouds and vapor quallity and effect

so far I'm happy, perhaps I have tooken all the good stuff out of the herbs with these 3 hits.. I will finish the bowl this evening, we will see....

Cloudy...
In my case I use it modded:

-EQ screen in the place of the rings, metal ring works good but not better than the EQ and this way I avoid the extra conduction. I will only change to the metal ring if I'm sharing the vape with someone so the bowl is bigger.

-Glass mouthpiece. I really HATE cleaning the regular one, those little groves inside are a pain in the ass since you can't soak the full thing on ISO. With the glass mouthpiece the vapor can be slightly warmer but that's not an issue for me. The problem I was having was with particles irritating my throat/lungs so I decided to add a little square of this SS 90 micron screen (used normally as mesh wick) inside the mouthpiece, exactly before the glass gets narrower at the mouthpiece. Now I have 0 particles problems and I added this to my Omnivap an M as well and it works amazingly well!

I love how this vape works modded like these and the best of all is that it looks exactly like an Ecigar so I can use it everywhere. I literally walk in the middle of the bussiest streets of my town and people didn't even look at me.

But obviously, the battery sucks. I mainly use it on my way back from work or for some ocasional puffs when there is a lot of people around while walking in the city so it's ok. And it charges really quick as well, so not bad.

Is the version with removable batteries still coming? That would be great, specially with an upgrade program for owners of the original one :)

Ah right, I forgot that I also use the glass MP, which qualifies as a mod... :p

Agree on the stealth factor: the way you hold it in your hand (unless you hold it upside down like an inhalator for asthma... or the way hiphop guys hold their mike heh) means very little of the vape is visible, just the mouthpiece and the butt of the shell.

I never had strangers questioning what it was, contrary to many other models.

Can the glass mp be used as a bong adapter? That's mainly how I use my cfv is through water.

The official one, perhaps. The one I got, initially for Crafty/Mighty, not at all.

I just got the metal bowl in and holy hell is this thing big. It gives you a huge bowl. With the wood rings the tip of my pinky barely pokes through the metal bowl I have no problem pushing the tip of my pinky through. I was able to get two sessions out of 1 load and I usually only get 1. Idk if it works any better than the wood and so far I like the eq screen mod the best. More testing is required before I can really compare it with anything though. 2 sessions isn't enough!!:science::science::science:

If anybody could measure one of the wooden rings for outer diameter, it would help me greatly. I am wondering whether to purchase a set of rings to help isolate heat in a weecke fenix, and am not sure if they will fit into the chamber.

Thanks for your help

How do you got the protective film OFF ??

I have Problem with the airflow and like to check if something is blocking the intake air.
Maybe the rubber seal?

But I'm not able or don't know how to remove the bottom plate :-(

Thanks

Never mind!! I fixed my Air Flow Problem allready!

Mod note: posts merged

How were you able to resolve your airflow problem?

Where has the time gone?
This thread is really quiet. Are users just enjoying their vape or… forgetting it on a shelf?

So what’s the fuss about convection? Well, I wanted to know what it’s all about so I ended up getting a Boundless CFV. That vaporizer is presented as having full convection, a relatively affordable price with good reviews overall. Result : I do enjoy the experience of convection, subtle and somewhat different, with for me a clearer head and more energy to move on in my life.

I installed inside the wood ring a small hat basket (like the one that goes in a Solo) which makes it ideal for microdosing. And a little goes indeed a long way to the extent that after a few cycles, the content of the basket (now ABV) will fit just nicely in the Dynavap M for an ultimate (and efficient) night VapCap! :sherlock:

Yet, on the other hand I am disappointed with the airflow of the Boundless CFV, how hard one has to pull to get the vapor. I'm used to the restriction of the Solo, but it's nothing in comparaison IMO. This the reviews I read did not clearly mentionned, though some FC members alluded to it when I read back. But I never thought it would be so much.:o I guess all of this is very subjective, individual. For me the restricted airflow hinders the real enjoyment of the taste coming from convection. The glass mouthpiece that Boundless forwarded graciously :) to alleviate this particularity when I contacted them, is an improvement to a point, but then the glass becomes significantly hot for the lips…

For me, the CFV is certainly a convincing (!) convection experience but it can literally leave you breathless… If you don’t mind sucking somewhat hard and/or very slowly you’ll get an excellent vapor. For someone like me it's near difficult. It probably needs to get used to and I am working on it. Otherwise, I'm really happy with the experience.

Thank you all FC’rs for your imput and comments. It’s enjoyable and instructive to hang around this forum. I hope these personal notes might be helpful in some way also.

Yes this is really a direct-to-lungs vape that needs long and relatively hard (due to the restriction) inhalations. In this one I don't tamp the load at all or it gets worse. Somehow I got used to it, but that's not what I prefer too.

It becomes especially obvious when you use it while walking fast on the street. It's hard to get good hits without getting short-breathed, at least for me. That being said, I could make the same remark about several of my convection vapes.

I don't use it as much as before, as I got other vapes to test and review and I can't spend my whole days vaping as I need to stay functional. My number one criticism is still about the short battery life, it's not enough to be fully autonomous without having access to a USB port/charger or a power bank.

My cfv has been sitting on the shelf due to piss poor battery life. I mainly use my vapes through a bong so draw resistance isn't as noticeable but I do have to draw fairly hard to get good vapor production and the harder you draw the better the vapor is. One thing I've done to all my boundless vapes is to drill out the bottom intake hole screen it helps improve the airflow a little.

Was using my CFV today, hadn't used it in a few months due to the amount of vapes I've been collecting but it's still a great little unit. Looking forward though to seeing the Tera and the other units.

Yes the thread has been a little quiet and Boundless seem to be busy in Oregon, I think they had plans to set up a studio there for live streams.

I've found myself picking up the CFV more often now at home because of its quick heat-up. My daily driver generally is the Vivant Alternate, but it takes 2+ minutes to get to temp. The airflow difference using the Alternate is night and day - that thing is a cloud chasing beast.

The #1 drawback on the CFV is the battery life/indicator. Close at #2 is the mouthpiece getting clogged. I've done a mod using a circular screen on top of the load to prevent the clogging, but it gets annoying having to unscrew and rescrew the top part to stir or change the load with the screen in. Though when the CFV is working, it does do a good job and is quite efficient.

I'm glad they're finally going to replaceable batteries on the Tera. Now they just need to offer a CFV trade-in for Tera program :)
