Arizer Solo

Sorry, you lost me, what is the goal here?

It should not be too hard for someone who knows what they're doing to make the part (it's the sort of thing such printers do well) but I'm a bit concerned about the temperature. Those printers typically melt the plastic to fuse it in place, so the plastic has to melt at 'reasonable' temperatures?

There's a very clever Member around here that should be able to help you out if you can define it well enough, @Ratchett. You might PM him?

If the goal is to couple or otherwise mount something, Silicone tube can often work fine. For instance here's a pretty large 'small bubbler' that does just fine as the plastic MP and glass WT overlap half an inch or so and the tube gets wedged in by the taper on the MP:

Please, what is it you're thing to do?

TIA

After talking with @Ratchett I found the best kind of solution, the kind which doesn't cost me any additional money. I had these wine stoppers for cleaning my glass, but one was damaged and so I re-purposed it. https://imgur.com/a/5iOJU
This is very similar to the product which he recommended.

Am so happy with this piece. The design gives leak-free use. And you can even tip it over and the water stays inside. I added an extension that further cools the vapor and feels like a pipe stem in my mouth with the flattened glass. At$ !4.99 shipped from PuffItUp, it is another must-have deal for the Solo family. Thanks again forum friends for pointing me in the right direction.

I think switching things up and changing things around like using different stems and different tempretures plus using water filtration and concentrates helps with tolerance. Using different strains will help as well.

I think @ataxian is going to get an Arizer Air 2. It will be a good combo with the Solo OG. That's just my prediction. A perfect unit for a road trip.

I wonder if he smokes or if he uses a vape? He seems to be incredibly healthy.
He says that he mostly vaporizes these days, but he'll sneak in a joint every once in a while. Kinda like me.

I actually bought my first vaporizer (Arizer EQ) after seeing him on Larry King talking about how he mostly vaporizes these days. I figured that if it's good enough for Willie, then it's good enough for me. I went straight to the googles and got a whole bunch of hits from a website with the word "fuck" in it.:hmm: The rest is history.

I'm about to order another of those little bubblers from Puff It Up. Makes the Solo even more amazing. No leaks. Store it, move it, lay it down.....the water stays there. I like this unit a lot.

NO 2 he uses sometimes?
Smokes joints as well.

I tried to smoke dry, however gave me a headache for hour's!

VAPORIZING is actually more CIVILIZED to me!
The SOLO and today's strain and no headache.

I know guy's close to 100 that still burn's joints and very healthy.

I like the smoothness of VAPOR.

Like @Stu I do smoke once and a while.
I go right back to vaporizing for flavor and no headaches.

My portable is a SOLO because I like the way it taste!

@SloJimFizz lol stupid I know, I had no way to retrieve it from the awning
This solo has had a fair bashing over the years to be fair.
I believe my model can work whilst charging if that's what you mean but when I plug it in the lights go crazy and it doesn't heat up?
Worth unplugging the battery and seeing if it will work just plugged in (no battery) you think?

@OF not sure the voltage I tried both as I have done in the past without problems, checked back and I've had this solo for over three years!!!.
Guess I start saving for solo 2

I took a punt on a new battery for my solo and look and behold it worked!!

I recently tried something I never thought possible with my Solo: Hash!

Somehow I had the assumption or the old warnings about hash/oil/wax in the solo, that you shouldn't do it or only on a pad of flower/cotton/steel, so as not to mess up the unit.

I mainly use it through water, got a little bubbler just for this reason. It's so sweet. Holding it like a mug of tea, just sippin'.
Anyway - since I use a GonG, and the whole unit/setup is upside down, the hash never actually touches the heating chamber walls of the unit itself, so no mess!

I have to turn it up to 6-7. And draw much stronger than with flower. Because all you have is a little crumb on the screen, so far away from the heat - so more draw is required.
On 7 I get amazing rips.
Wow.

Can even usually get another almost full session, just need to stir a little. Hash shoulud crumble and will probably stick to your stirring tool a bit. But just make sure it's spread out covering as much of the air path as possible, and you'll be good.

Also I've been thinking of getting a little Washer-ring to put inside the GonG, so that the air is forced to flow over a tiny area and thus increase efficiency. I'm no physicist but I feel like this could work.
Take this:
FTC5413G.jpg

and place on the GonG, with the mesh screen below it (I have one in my Solo's GonG, I guess you could also only use an O-Ring and no screen) and then the hash in the center hole.
Gonna have to try this with my E-Nano as well.

Having the Solo really makes the time it takes saving up for an Air II easily managable!
And a tiny piece of hash goes a real long way, damn.

Solo was my first real vape (I had a Box kind of like a vaporbros box just more bulky - actually I should look for that..).

I was spoiled! Tried other vapes, plastic - felt odd.
I used it as a desktop alternative as well until I got my Nano, and still do.
Such a joy! Only thing I'd exchange it for is the new Air 2. But I'll always keep the Solo as decoration at least. One of my dreams is having a big enough room for a kind of Vape and Glass Trophy Case haha.

@ataxian In times before I even knew there was a GonG for the Solo I just held the dry stem into the downstem part of my glass - it's almost 14mm, some pipes it may seal but for others you could wrap a rubber band around the area that's in the glass.
But you may have already tried that!

The Solo is also wonderfull with the dry stem. I usually set it to 4. Very pleasant experience!

You only need so little product as well, which I really appreciate!

That's awesome.

I think I first heard about Vapes a few years ago when someone posted a mflb post on r/trees. Told a friend of mine and he already had gotten a solo, but said it was weird or just not perfect.
I did a little research, and of the good ones there wheren't that many available locally here. But the Solo was one of them and I love it.

Finally am able to upgrade, to the Air 2. But I'm keeping the OG Solo forever, it's legendary! And it opened up a whole new path for me.

I'm a bit sick with a cold at the moment so I don't really now if I wanna vape. I thought about a good workaround and decided to make some Stem Milk.
I never used the Straight Solo stem long because I lost it early on and always resorted to the curved/bent one. Somehow I managed to keep it with me all these years across multiple moves though, haha. It wasn't very densely covered in resin/honey/whatever, but damn, 2 hours later I'm smooth like butter.

I used soy milk and a tablespoon of butter, no fat milk here I guess.

I see it as a kind of viking funeral, for when the Air 2 gets here and I retire the Solo.
