Cool as fuck and very interesting. I'd certainly be interested in hearing/seeing more about the heater and build of the device. Price point is obviously incredibly impressive. Love the included waterpipe adapter. Lets be honest, most people aren't interested in investing more than $50 to try and fuck combustion, so this could be a very good gateway drug.

I agree and at that price it would make the perfect stocking stuffer for your hard to buy for medicinal mj user.

Woah this looks pretty neat.

Five temperatures adjustments provide you custom options to enjoy your favorite strains just the way you like it.

I see on the webpage there's a picture of the device.. looks like it has 370, 383, 395, 408 and 420F printed on it. Are those the 5 temps it'll launch with?

Really like the design of the loading part. It looks like the entire top is tapered to help funnel in the herbs; great idea!

What material is the body of the vape constructed of? I'm guessing some kind of plastic at that price point.

With 45 Watts of power, it can achieve your desired temperature within 30 seconds.

How long does the session timer last for? Or is this more of an on demand device?

Webpage says battery is 2800 mAh; about how many sessions can we expect this to last? Seems like some decent juice for the size.

Micro USB for the charging port? Can this device have it's firmware updated like the Alternate?

MSRP will be $49.99 for the Kit, make sure to get your pre-orders in!

Awesome price! Well, count me in. Always looking for new vaping toys and I really enjoy my Alternate. When will pre-orders start? Right now the webpage for buying and the manual say 404 not found. Love to take a look at the manual! I'm sure that would have answered most of my questions.

FUCK CANCER TOO !
Hmmmm....I dunno @Vivant ....I guess I'm still feeling somewhat...

Once bitten, twice shy!

Tell us what's changed with your production methods and improvements to your QC that should reassure us that this unit isn't inherently flawed...just like your Alternate!?

Hello @Prolusio

Thank you for your genuine interest in the V-Leaf.

1. Yes, you are correct. There are 5 preset temperature that you can select at your discretion. These temperatures are set to lowest to highest. Lowest being 370F and the highest temperature being at 420F.

2. The material of the body is a stainless-steel finish, that feels smooth in the hands.

3. There are preset session timers for this device. Just like the temperature settings/options there 5 options to choose from. Shortest session is 30 seconds and the longest is 150 seconds.

4. You can expect this device to have approximately 4-5 sessions. The session timer and temperature setting can influence the battery life.

5. As of now there will be no firmware update feature for this device.

6. You can charge the V-Leaf using a micro USB.

7. We are expecting to have our first shipment to the public by 10/09/17, **Please note this date may be subject to change**

If you have any other questions or comments please do not hesitate to reach out.

It says "built-in" battery. I took that as non replaceable. But I could be wrong.
Good point. Their signature says:
FC15OFF
Coupon code for our FC family. 15% off plus an extra free 18650 battery.
Thank you for your support!
ViVANT
Maybe that isn’t specifically for this one?

Ceramic heater sounds clean and you have my attention - LETS TALK ABOUT VAPOR PATHS :D
Is the battery user replaceable or no?

@Vivant So it will be $49.99 plus 15% off plus a free extra battery for FCers?

It says "built-in" battery. I took that as non replaceable. But I could be wrong.

Just out of curiosity, I tried the discount code and it didn't work.

Hello Everyone,

We appreciate everyone's interest in he V-Leaf.

There are just a few things we can clarify for anyone who is interested.
  1. The battery for the new V-Leaf will not removable and it will charge via micro USB. You can expect the battery to last for up to 6 sessions depending on your session timer and temperature settings.
  2. The coupon code should work as it is active and available for all FC users. We just tested the code and it took off the 15%. I kindly suggest to check for spelling errors and paying attention to case sensitivity.
Thank you all for genuine interest, please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any other questions or comments.

Best regards,

Ivan

By "session" I hope you don't mean up to 6 times 150 seconds max? Because that would be only 15 minutes of vaping time per charge.

You mean 6 bowls right?

Hello @KeroZen ,

Yes, precisely. I apologize for the misunderstanding. It is 6 sessions (as in bowls ) for 90 secs a session. Again, the overall power of this device is correlated to the device's set session timer and set temperature the user sets it at.

This number is an approximate estimation. The temperature of the environment will also affect the number of sessions.

So if I do temperature steps like I often do with all my conduction vapes, my bowl lasts between 15 and 20 minutes to be fully spent.

With the V-Leaf, from fully charged to fully discharged, you say that we can get only 6 * 90 seconds in a row of continuous vaping? That's 9 minutes only.

I know your vape is powerful, but that only gets you so far with ceramic oven conduction heaters: it only affects how fast the heater reaches temperature, but it rarely allows to compensate for fast and/or big draws, as you are rapidly limited by the ceramic thermal conductivity coefficient, the heater element gets to temperature but the load cools downs faster than it can recover via conduction.

I guess the key is your "helical air path channel to provide both convection and conduction heating simultaneously" and the 25% faster extraction claim. Fair enough, your vape is probably hybrid as you describe it.

Still I'm a bit concerned that the battery life will only limit its use to light-weight users and/or as an occasional support / backup device, as it's not likely to get you going through the day without frequent charging. But for that price, it's almost disposable.
