@ataxian if you haven't already been to the Air 2 thread, it's a good'un. OF is dropping science bombs left and right, and it's 7 whole pages, I think. Time will tell if it will reach 1572 but it does look like Arizer has done it again.
For me, your frustration with your immortal Solo was a big factor in getting Solo 2 when it arrived. I mean, what a dilemma! I hope 5 years from now I am talking about how I can't get the new Solo 4 because my old Deuce just won't stop working for me.
If it's legal and you're on your private property, why must you wait to medicate for the gardner? None of my business, mate; I just don't understand don't understand CA law on the matter. Or you just don't want to share your cookies?

It's probably changing since Recreational use was approved, but not yet implemented. AFAIK it's still a bust for a MMJ 'card holder' to give, sell to or buy from, trade or anything else your 'medicine' who doesn't have one as well. Considered Dealing, even if no money changes hands I'm told? An excellent way to get into trouble. Best avoided until the new rules are clear?

The one that looked kaput this morning regained 1 light of power while resting all day so I put it on the charger and it seems to be charging, though a bit slowly. Time will tell, I suppose.
Edit: It charged and then I got a session out of it.... here's hoping it will hold a charge!

That stem is $14.90 and has water filtration. It can be taken along since it does not leak. $14.90 is cheaper than a GonG or a water piece.
Buy yourself half a dozen and stop sweating the glass breakage.

I just had a Great idea. The Tipped Aroma tube has threads on it. So how difficult would it be to make a 3D Printable adapter that slides over the sides a little for stability, and accepts the threads that are already in the glass stem. Anyone good with CAD?

It should not be too hard for someone who knows what they're doing to make the part (it's the sort of thing such printers do well) but I'm a bit concerned about the temperature. Those printers typically melt the plastic to fuse it in place, so the plastic has to melt at 'reasonable' temperatures?
There's a very clever Member around here that should be able to help you out if you can define it well enough, @Ratchett. You might PM him?
If the goal is to couple or otherwise mount something, Silicone tube can often work fine. For instance here's a pretty large 'small bubbler' that does just fine as the plastic MP and glass WT overlap half an inch or so and the tube gets wedged in by the taper on the MP:

The Goal is to Make some adapter which threads onto the tipped stem. there are various types of plastics out there, if not I'm sure it could be printed in ceramic or another sufficiently durable and non-toxic. My PVHGonG just broke and I'm thinking of an alternative which could be easily implimented by anyone who has a Arizer portable.
P.S.
Not to mention the tipped Stems themselves are made of some temperature resistant plastic already. So maybe not 3D printed, but made somehow. I'm an Ideas guy, I don't know all the means of production just yet.

We're talking cross purposes here I think. I get it, an adapter to screw onto the stem, but why? To make a GonG adapter? The short stem already is, right? A 14mm male. There's also an option of an o-ring in the gap between cap and tube that will mate/seal with 18.mm gear as well. I don't recall off hand who posted about it, but it's sure to be one of the usual suspects.
There are several ways to make parts like that. Several materials are possible, although some have high 'tooling costs' (like to make molds). Some don't. I just don't think typical 3D printers are up to the job with the hot gasses, although they could make the model that makes a mold or even the mold I'd think.
I still suggest you PM @Ratchett. IIRC he has such a device already, although it doesn't thread. It is Silicone rubber (cast) and grips the normal stem or tipped ones without cap and has the GonG taper on the outside. Like a rubber stopper with a big hole through it? Works great for what it is. I'm not 100% sure where I got it, but think he's responsible. And as I've said he's a clever sort and can probably help you out if he doesn't already have a good substitute?

BTW, in an emergency you can always wrap a couple of rubber bands around the end of most any stem to get a seal on 14mm female GonGs. Just don't let anyone see you do it.
