Yes the tank you showed in that was actually developed around 2012 and 2013. OF was one of the many people who we had test a tank similar in design very similar in design to the one you linked too and i mean like 95% similar in design.

Its interesting what is coming out years after NDA's are starting to expire. I am in no way saying OF leaked that design. In fact oF is one of the few people I can trust with my designs. Just saying that it had issues and we moved on from it.

Thanks for clearing that up :)

..... the porous SiC is designed to hold oil near the heater to vaporize.

The Trinity tanks are designed specifically to be cleaned to match as closely to brand new status as possible.

A proven technology. Porous ceramic 'doughnuts' held the concentrate in front of the heater which had a reflector behind it. The 'good work' was mostly done by IR. The problem is refilling the reservoir as it's being depleted by vaping.

Looks like that nut might have been cracked?

The 'effective cleaning designed in' bit is excellent, of course. Well done there too.

Boy did I blow one past you........

In a rare serious moment, IMO NDAs (Non Disclosure Agreements) generally don't expire. A guy who takes you into his confidence and passes information to you under those conditions should have the right to say when it's OK to talk about any specific thing and the extend it's OK.

Fer instance, TV in the case above is long gone. Any agreement is with it. Yet by the 'Gentleman's agreement' part the nature of the porous ceramic is OK to discuss, but the nature, source and production technique is not. Likewise I feel free to talk about how the heaters worked, how they used power and so on but the material of the element is taboo.

Since G brought the subject up.......I still don't know anything about it, told nobody, showed nobody and still have it safe here if I ever had one. Maybe.

Besides, this one's prettier, you can see stuff inside and all.

Unfortunately I can't say who leaked the design because there are many people involved, but at same time I can say I learned the hard way to never have time limits on NDA's.

But at the end competition is good it brings out the best in people or some cases the worst. Been there done that moving on with what I have on my table and the Triton will be a beast.

I think you're in good company there, I hear the President is having some problems with unknown leakers........

I get that a NDA is a legal document (contract) and should be honored as such, but I think from an ethics POV the lifetime of a secret is not so clear. Projects go on and evolve and with them the meaning of secrets. I'm down with the contract of course, but if ya tolt me not to tell nobody last time we talked, it's still in effect?

What's the old joke, "Can you keep a secret?". 'Oh, yeah sure, what is it?'. "So can I.......".

So maybe NDAs are the Big Boy version of "I know something you don't know"?

Unfortunately I can't put the Trinity on sale or the terps. Coupon code is good for everything else.

Just did a leak test on the Triton and guess what? No leaks. We used ejuice and water.

25 drops each.

No coupon codes, but will there be any bulk order discount like with coils?

Unfortunately I can not put any discounts on the Trinity Pen or tanks.

I understand what you're saying, or at least think I do, but am not sure everyone else does. I read 'I can not' as being different from 'I've decided not to'. Same as the NDA thing, there can be (often/usually are) contractual commitments in place before the sale offer is made. Same as some vapes can't be discounted by our favorite sellers who typically discount generously to Members?

I could be wrong here of course, often am, but that's my 'take'.

One thing sure, it's only a matter of time before the request/question comes up again.......

Would it be better if he said he decided he can not?

Seems like he meant just what he said. Details of why are none of our business really.

Yep. I draw a distinction between 'decided he cannot' and 'and 'he can't'. One infers it can easily change if he sees things differently (his option) and the other a fixed situation (he's somehow compelled to, there is no option otherwise). I think we have the latter here?

Still, you're absolutely right, in the end his reasons and business are his own. He offers us a product at a price. We can ask for a better price (from our POV) of course, same as we could ask for free shipping. But in the end our only real choice is to buy or pass?

I've bought several now, at the official price from D9, and recommend them to those interested.

I'm definitely getting a trinity tank to try out, probably 2 so I can start trying one with runnier stuff and as a replacement for the old eo carts. I think they were called eo carts... I used my last one such a long time ago.

I'm not sure I'm going to be adding terps too often, but I definitely want to try it at least once. I wish there was a description of flavor though. Cheese quake and lemon tree I get (probably), just not sure about upstream, queen bee, and lily.

I'm going to go ocd crazy trying to get it all after mixing it, I wish there was a way to mix it in the syringe/applicator.

Don't know that cart, but this has the potential to be an upgrade to darn near whatever you're using provided it fills and feeds of course. Better than the carts I know (and that includes Omicrons, KISS, Hercules, SR-71 and other D9 offerings).

I get how a guy could fall right into 'I want it all mode' I resisting so far.

You're 'mix a small batch in the syringe' idea is a good one IMO. I can see some serious advantage and think it's entirely possible. There's a practical low end limit, you can't get less than a drop of terpenes easily (although it's possible....) so if I understand the scale we're talking about .25 grams total? Four drops to the gram?

So cap the syringe, add the concentrate, put a drop of the magic sauce in and stir with a thin wire from the top? You could even 'float' the open tube in hot water to add a bit of heat if you wanted to try that. If you thread the wire through a pinhole in plastic (say a bit of coffee can lid?) you can wipe all the concentrate/terpene mix off the wire into the syringe for no loss/waste. Then put the plunger in a bit, invert, remove the plug and install the needle and you're ready to load a test cart about 2/3 full........

Interesting idea. Thanks.

waste of time just buy a vape cart

I can assume you've not tried many types? While simple hot wire LAYG carts are just fine for many, even most, they definitely have their shortcomings. Which is why makers constantly try to improve them. And why there are alternatives offered in the market. And customers for them. Many of us have spent a lot of money looking for better solutions. Check out the Devine Tribe thread for instance.

And there's the whole idea of TCR. Where the actuall heat of the hot metal is sensed and controlled for. Like cruse control on your vaping. Production doesn't dive if you hit harder (within reason) and more important for many is you can dial up HUGE CLOUDS (again, within reason) and not have it overheat and 'cook the oil' in accidents. And running dry isn't a cart killer automatically since the temperature doesn't skyrocket like simple systems do.

There are alreaady a lot of useful options to common, cheap carts. With satisfied customers. IMO this one is definitely in that class, and may become a class leader before our eyes.

My advice reamains the same for those interested, buy a trinity or two and give it a go? If you don't have a proven TCR mod (many of us do even though cheap carts have no advantage with them) the factory 'pen' is definitely up to the job (go figure.....).

Regards to all.

I have a shit ton of eo carts left. They have been my favorite for runny stuff. I should list some in the classifieds as I have more than I will ever use.
Is the Trinity available in both 510 and 601 thread so I could use it with my Ophos batteries and Persei?

I recently just got a 510 Hercules SR-74z I've been an owner of the SR-74x for a couple years now and have had my eye on the 510 and found a cheap price for a second hand unit.

I am just reading all this stuff on the upcoming Triton and the recent post about no leaks... this has me curious are you intending for the Triton to be a Hercules replacement of sorts?

What I am getting at really is I thought you guys were making a new Persei for the Hercules I was wondering is that still on the agenda or is the Hercules considered done in terms of moving forwards? (Like will no more thought go into it since the 510 edition)

I tried the Trinity myself I was supposed to get a video to you guys but I broke the glass on mine so I am just using my Hercules I'd love to get some Terps to try a Trinity again the right way but don't have the money for them expensive flavors yet.

No, at least I don't think so. You have to be careful, this guy needs 'smart electronics' to control the power. "Barefoot" (like would happen on Omicron, Ophos, Persei and so on as well as most others) the resistance change alone works against you. The cart is about .5 Ohms cold but double that (1 Ohm give or take) at temperature. That means half the current so half the power in simple systems.

Persei could allow 8 Amps when hot (8 Volts with fresh charge and two cells). That times the 8 Volts means 64 Watts. A bit too much for a device with a 14 Watt limit? Even a single cell Percei or one of the others at 4 Volts allows 4 Amps for 16 Watts. We want about 10 or so in use, I limit at 12.5 and am hot almost instantly.

There are thread adapters around but DON'T EVEN THINK OF USING THEM. Either get the factory mod or a good TCR mod with 510 threads to match the Trinity would be my advice.

Bill for that advice follows.....

Hercules isn't going anywhere.

Makes perfect sense to me, there is a 'niche' it fits well and satisfied customers who want to/will buy more.......

Then again, not all things that make sense to me happen. And the other way around.......

I'm going to give it a shot, someone else making it sound not crazy has got me thinking of how to do it.

I was actually googling the cart I meant and saw a pic I took a long time ago for a review on the w9 site. I took this setup to so many concerts and hockey games. So I basically meant the omicron carts.
