Sticky Brick Junior by Sticky Brick Labs

Yeah, as soon as Cl4ud3 said it, I saw it. Need to get a little cape for it! Just tried the Jr w/ a 14mm j-hook over the mouthpiece. The fit isn't 100% tight, but it still works. Makes it feel like a pipe & your looking down on the flame more. Got some monster rips just now. Can't wait for the WPA to arrive.

Had my 1st "Sticky Brick moment" a few days ago. Loaded her up to the 1st ridge w/ a fine grind & a few seconds in I know I've totally combusted. I blow out this ginormous cloud (that seemed to last forever) that didn't taste like combustion. Check the bowl, no burning, no scorching, nothing. Everything still pretty much green! Most of the terps were gone after that 1st hit, but I got like 3 or 4 more fat hits after.
I love seeing people post this, also very happy to see you're liking it. That is a beautiful spalted maple stoned batman, I'm genuinely jealous.

Yes. :D

Hey SBJr. and FlowerPot fans...

Where is your god now? :D
You sir, are a smart man.

I wasn't sure from your post but did you put flower in both bowls? That plus concentrate would be a triple decker right? Sounds like the sbj bowl wouldn't vape as fast as the flower pot bowl. Maybe put a little concentrate on top so it vapes for longer. Is that a quadruple decker? Hmmm, I'm excited to try this.

@StormyPinkness,
I tried it all 3 ways... flower in each bowl and in both.
Best results are from flower in FlowerPot bowl... when the herb is in the SBJr. it is too difficult to get good vapors because of the longer air path before it hits the herb. I tried cranking up the heat, stopped at 850 and don't really want to go much higher due to coil life.
I also tried it through a water pipe adapter last night, with herb in both bowls... it worked and tasted very, very fine! :)

Update on my SBJr adventures!
1 - If I could only have one vaporizer, forever and ever, the SBJr would be IT. No doubts or reservations.

The SBJ would be my go to if I only had one to pick.

Thanks for the Spartan kick over the edge guys.
Everyone's love for this plus the sale that helps the hurricane victims. Had to pull the trigger.
Now I'm in the cone of probability for this next beast rolling in off the Atlantic.:uhoh: Sticky Bricks and Vap caps ready for power loss.

What jumped out at me was the little guy in @muunch avatar

Look at this guy's junior :o

https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/6y3ea8/couldnt_be_a_better_day_to_try_out_my_jr_for_the/

Holy shit that's beautiful! That, disGRUNTled's & Cl4ud3's would have to be my top 3 fav juniors.

Edit: Thanks Super Mario! (@StormyPinkness) I was noticing the other day, the bottom 2 pieces change tone in different light. So I'll be left of it & the bottom piece will be darker w/ the middle section lighter. Walk around to the right of it & it's completely reversed (giving the jr a tri-tone look). Pretty cool!

I just read all the thread (54 pages) !! :myday:

I'm ready to receive my brick this Monday (or so I hope :goon: ...)

I am very curious to compare it to the vaponic :hmm:, as soon as the wood flavor disappears ,but first I will have to play and practice a lot with the ... jis, jis, jis :science::evil:

YOU WILL LOVE IT! It is as smooth and flavorful as the vaponic, if you hit it right. I did not find the learning curve too steep.

Congrats @Whissmu in your new purchase.

Just would like to say I've received my replacement SBJ already (looks perfect!!). I am also very impressed with the delivery time too considering it was sent to Australia. Great customer service from SBL guys, a few of my friends will be getting their own SBJs too after trying mine.. Cheers for such a great product ;)

As for anyone sitting on the fence to purchase one, consider this.. I've been a bong smoker for 20+ years, the SBJ has finally converted me. Don't hesitate, just do it... Your lungs will thank you and you still get massive clouds using a jet lighter. My coughing is down 80-90%..

Hello all =), hope everyone is doing fine this morning.. I have a issue with my replacement SBJ and would like to check to see if its just me being a "power user" that is causing my SBJ to react as such. I have smoked quite alot through my SBJ -minumum a pound? (ABV jar is at least 2x the size of the SBJ). However I'm not sure if its the oil resin or the water moisture in the flower over time that is doing this to the SBJ? I do clean it everyday with 3-4 cotton buds and replace the screen additionally. I also notice a quite a buildup of oils in there over a period of time which is perfectly normal considering the amount of smoke.. But would a buildup of this cause the wood to warp over time? I don't think its my technique as im sure ive hit it a few thousand times by now. Unfortunately the gap in the wood has increased so that i am unable to draw as per normal. I've done a ghetto remedy which first involved some sticky tape around the gap (you will see marks on the SBJ from that), which wasn't the most ideal solution. 2nd solution that im currently using involves Blu-tack to fill in the gaps around so there would be a tight vacuum.

I've attached some pics to give you an idea of what i'm talking about. I am still sticking by my SBJ, its the best device for me period out there. I have bought a pelican case and created a go box for it with all the bits and pieces. Happy to post pics when im back home. Just my workflow with packing flower is very slow now as i have to apply blue tack around the seams to create a seal and remove seal before i can open it again.

I can't really change my smoking frequency either as Im using this to medicate myself pretty much twice every hour. I have a rare genetic disease that requires me to takes lots and lots of questionable meds. i much prefer the SBJ instead... On a plus side i could be the first person in Australia approved for cannabis for my condition as far as i know. And all done safely with my SBJ and no ill effects whatsoever.

Also I don't want to be that guy that sends in a warranty claim every 4 months (i only got this SBJ in june) esp if its due to me smoking too much..

@gerbil

warpage happened to me with hydro brick - but it had a happy ending

good customer service story here..

my black friday iroko hydro brick decided to start splitting right down the middle
connecting any water pooling around the o-ring under hydrotube directly to the bowl

..i put it down to natural causes..
my guess - it was 'de-stabilized' by the different atmospheric conditions
in a different part of the globe

sent photos to sticky brick labs and they sent replacement out same day
(..thanks man to @Slow Draw McGraw)

also they let me negotiate a swap to a cherry junior
so i keep the split hydro and only pay for the glass for the junior
(as glass on hydro was not being replaced)

added butter for wood
..came to $50 total inc shipping to UK
and when it arrived found i got 2 intake glass

so now through an act of God/Nature
i got two bricks for nearly the price of one
and i am getting very baked comparing them

..tho have to keep a cloth handy to keep o-ring very dry on split hydro
the first place a drop of water goes is - straight down the channel to the bowl
havent figured out how i can close/fill crack watertight yet

who knew.. such a simple combination of
- a wooden pipe - a long glass tube - and a lighter
is all you really need

just_the_flu

they say im crazy but i have a good time
...got my jr last night... my first impression out of the box was 'it's bigger than i thought' (not such a bad thing)... glad i got the jr over the og though due to the size... idk if i'd want something like this any bigger?

...anyways... this things pretty sweet overall for a butane powered vape... i really like how large the bowl is, especially for a portable vape! it holds a lot of herb which i like! unlike other portables this bowl size fits my usage... i do enjoy the cover which makes it really discrete looking, and no worries about tossing it in a pocket, pack or tackle box...

...kinda wish i picked one up earlier... glad i have her now...

As i like my butane vapes (Omnivap, Vapman) more and more i think about adding a sticky brick to my arsenal.
As the form factor would be much better for my circumstances, i d prefer the junior to the Hydrobrick...

I can choose between cedar, cherry, maple, walnut - anything i should prefer or avoid? And what do you think would the sticky brick ad to my other vapes?

Thanks and have a great day!

* very fun to play :science:
* when I hit it full I get a huge taste :sherlock:
