You could even go a step further and pair that smart plug to either an Alexa or Google Home device, then all youd have to do is ask Alexa to turn your vape on and off!:rofl:

Thankyou, and I am consistently surprised regarding how nice you guys and just everyone on this forum is in general, I wish I had joined sooner actually. A few years ago I wasn't even aware of vaping.

Also I just remembered I had a question for you, because jatoba is such a dense wood, should I give it a little more power to achieve temperature, or does it just effect the heat up time. Does it's density also mean that it will retain heat better once warm?

Yeah this is a great community.. glad it's here for all of us to enjoy! Thanks @vtac !

A super dense wood like Jatoba very well might need a slight boost in voltage (.2v to .5v maybe?) compared to a less dense wood to reach the same temp and your heat up time may be a minute or two longer (at most). So yeah there can be some little differences but it shouldn't be anything too significant. Heat retention will be more or less the same unless you've got some fancy lab equipment to measure it with, otherwise you probably won't notice anything different there. :2c:

Awesome - glad to help! Depending on which brand of outlet and what software you are using, you can usually set a daily schedule as well. Or, if you are feeling really creative - you can use some software like ifttt to trigger your dog to turn on from just about anything. When you wake up, when you leave work, when it's cloudy, an hour before your favorite sporting event starts, etc. Or I guess you could just leave it on all the time.

Really old post, just curious if the numbers hold up.

What's the inside diameter of the direct draw glass stem (thick and regular)? And does the screen sit 15-20mm inside the tube??

Here's a link to an online ruler to make it easy

@underdogette

Are the vapes supposed to have 3 stem choices now instead of the 4?

I think I settled on one of the maples

Any alpha cores??

Thanks!!

A lazy Susan with places for stems, little containers, etc would be ideal for my desk, now that I'm thinking about it. I would love it to be wooden, even if not fancy wood.

Check out Blazy Susan on Instagram (@blazysusan) or facebook - they are in the process of designing one. The website should be updated soon as well.

Hey guys!
@underdogette

Are the vapes supposed to have 3 stem choices now instead of the 4?

I was looking at the Ambrosia Maple but it hasn't changed in price and has 1 less stem option?

My alternative is going to be the tiger maple.

Any alpha cores??

Thanks!!

Looks like I forgot to add the Alpha-Dogs and some oversized 18mm NonGs. Thanks to this, and another UD's reminder, I got those up this morning!

Yes, we've changed our stem offerings to only 3 stems and limited which stems you can get in each choice. We did this so that we can continue to offer the Travel Size VVPS free with each vape, instead of raising the price. (Classic Ash Birthday Vape doesn't come with VVPS for free, but has option to add for half price)

Will there be additional species added throughout the weekend @underdogette ?

As for more wood species, I believe Underdog is working on some more vapes in the shop, but I don't know that we'll get to posting them for the sale. If you have something particular in mind, let me know, and I'll check to see if we've got something that works for you. :)

Thanks everyone!

Well, I couldn't wait any longer (worked my way through the last 50 pages of posts in this thread) so I ordered a Tiger Maple an hour ago. Super stoked --> It will have an awesome collection of water pipes to play with (6 of them currently).

Here's hoping I don't get slammed with a duty charge on delivery (my MeUndies order this month was).

Do they come pre-buttered? Or is that something I should do when it arrives? I want to see all the details!!

Thanks @underdogette. I'm wondering is there a code for the 10% discount or is it already deducted?

The discount is already applied. :)

Just pulled the trigger on the honey locust. This'll be my first log vape so I'm stoked! Hey @underdogette when you type in your FC id, is there some special promo with that or something? Thanks again @underdog and @underdogette

What's everyone using as a case/stand for the stems? I'm an organize freak haha

Congrats!! It's my first log vape as well!!

I just got mine in the mail and it's beautiful, even more than i thought it would be, thanks.
Just to clarify the stock power supply and vvps will only go up to 12V and I would need a 15v power supply with 2.1mm to go higher? I'm not an expert with electronics to be honest.

Yes, that's correct. This particular VVPS can only go down from the power supply, not above. :)

The FC username is just so we can try to match your name to an order, so when we see you posting in here, or when you message us through here, we can put that extra attention to detail for you.

We will be putting some goodies in everyone's orders though. <3

That is some kick ass customer service! This was definitely one of the main reasons I chose an UD. CS is so important especially with vapes so this is very assuring. Thanks again @underdogette

It'll be nice change in scenery from my beloved butane vapes. No more dying torches even though they're cheap, they're finnicky and annoying at times.

I have a bunch of battery powered portables (and a V tower) and noticed the insane drain on the battery with a few water sessions.

My Underdog is going to be almost exclusively through water and that should help me extend the life of all my other vapes.

I hope everyone posts some photos of their new purchase. The VAS is strong in my household and I can see a log vape collection in my near future.

That's always a tough call; I reckon you'd definitely get saltier response if you raised prices.

Good, we could use more Underdogs up here. :nope:

https://delta3dstudios.com/honeycomb-organizer-medium/

https://delta3dstudios.com/e-nano-urchin-stand/

I use both of these with great success. @Ratchett makes invaluable tools for log vaporizers.

The spitoon is one I highly recommend as well. Not to sound like a shill. I bought all these products, but they are very worthwhile and completely changed my user experience

There are some wooden ones made(someone here and I also found some on etsy) but they have a much larger footprint...I have been looking for a while now, and these are by far the best I've found. Just do NOT touch the hot SS tips to the material... They don't play well :D

Welcome to all new dogs! I will always have a spot for these awesome mammalian logs

Thank you @muunch! I was going to hit up ratchet if I couldn't get a response on here haha. I've seen a lot of nano users use that stand. Is it compatible with the dog and its stems or is it more a "one size fits all" type thing?

NonGs and GonGs fit perfectly in the urchin stand and the smaller holes CAN hold the SS tipped stems. Big hole in the top can be used for DD glass stems (or the tall wooden stems if you use those)

Both of those work great, but it depends on how much crap you have. If you just have a few stems, get the urchin stand. If you have stems in addition some other crap, get the honeycomb. They both hold your stuff great and I wouldn't go back to a time before I had them with stems rolling all over my desk.

edit:

so the answer to your question is "one size fits all"

All vapes use either 14mm or 18mm tapered joints (or 10mm in some cases) and the urchin stand has 2 14mm slots and 2 18mm slots. The honeycomb won't hold anything as tightlu as the urchin stand since the openings aren't tapered-fit, but it fits a lot of crap. :)

Could not agree with you more @muunch . I have the urchin stand and the spitoon, plus several other things from @Ratchett/Delta 3D. I keep an eye on D3D, nice products that make your vape life so much easier and enjoyable.:)
