Arizer Solo II

Yes @ataxian I was just piling on, because you know, it's fun.
But hey, I don't think you should get rid of Old Pinkie.
If the day comes that it makes sense to pull the trigger...

After all, your testimony of your beloved Solo factored heavily in my decision to get the 2 as my first vape.

And your wife? I don't think anyone would suggest getting rid of her!
My wife is very smart like yours, but she forever pays for one moment of poor judgement.
I know I got lucky once. Think I'm going to mess that up?! :D Trust the wife.

I really enjoy the wording of this statement for some reason.

@ataxian
The airflow alone is enough for me to prefer the Solo 2 over my Air. I've never tried the OG Solo. Maybe the power between the OG and 2 is the same ... if it is then idk .. but all I know is the Solo 2 rips.

You do you my friend. You seem very happy where you are at with Ms Pinky.

What if Ataxian doesn't have a wife and is always just referring to his Solo. ...hence the pink..?

Being able to dial in the exact temp that I want is worth the $200 to me. The flavor is on par with the Solo OG but being able to have a broader tempreture range is a good thing. I like having the option of a 15 min session as well. I really like the color of the blue one. The strong battery and heater there's no tempreture dip.

@ataxian it depends on if you have $200 that you want to spend on a new device. The Arizer Air is upgrading its unit to the temp screen and many of the same upgrades as the Solo 2. @ataxian you don't have the Air so an Air with all the upgrades of the Solo 2 might be a good unit on the next trip. It's not out yet. It will be released pretty soon. I would assume around Black Friday at least maybe sooner.

Edit
Durban Poison is an awesome strain, a very strong Sativa. @ataxian I came across a strain just recently called Boy Scout Cookies - they had a special for $5 a gram. It was pretty good, it was somewhat dried out, i think that's why it was so cheap.

I love your comment!
Human want's are never satisfied! (we always want more?)
I don't need a portable really.
DUTCH TREAT is a very FLAVORFUL strain!
My SOLO 1 is still working well?
Really I want to kill it but it won't die?
If I buy a new AIR I'll just tell her it's for MEDICAL reason's!

Let me know when it's out?

I'm not upgrading to the solo2....... Now the air2 has me interested.

TOTALLY! Man.....I just can't wait.

"I'll take them discounted dried out flowers off your hands so your stock looks better" Best way to buy flowers for vaping! haaaa

The Air will also help by keeping your glassware upright and not broken with its smaller build and better balance allowance over the Solo's. ;)

When you break glass as I do, just buy and try something else?

Maybe I'll buy both & keep SOLO 1?

SOLO 1 was the favorite of non cannabis people?
It's better than a joint, FLAVOR wise.

DUTCH TREAT in a SOLO?
Good for CIVILIZATION!

The stock small stem that I have seems to be pretty thick. A little while ago I dropped it on a wood floor. I held my breath while looking for it on the floor. When I found it not a crack or chip. I was impressed. I didn't want to lose the smaller stem because i use that one most of the time. Plus it has a thick layer of resin I'm building up.:D

I have some nice Grand Daddy Purple in my Solo right now. My temp is on 380 degrees - great flavor. Now sitting on the back porch and enjoying a great evening.

Just got my Solo II (in my hands) last week. I particularly like the the speed and no temp drop, haven't really had much time with it yet, but I will try to give my thought after I have more time with it (haven't even considered re-charging yet)

Also, I bought the http://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Air-Solo-H2O-Filtration-Stem-p/qtqc.solo-bubb.htm For the price I would suggest people try it.

PIU also has black SOLO/AIR black glass stems and even their version of a short all glass PVHES kind of thing for a reasonable price.

Here is a link to a PIU page that has the three items I just mentioned. http://www.puffitup.com/category-s/246.htm

I wouldn't put too much stock in a single event involving glass. Strange stuff, 'with a mind of it's own' sometimes. You might dent the floor dropping a stem without damage only to have Ataxian break that same stem the next day by thinking about it.........

Ever hear of or see "Prince Rupert's drops"? Like 400 years old, drop a melted blob (about the size of a peanut is a good place to start) into a bucket of cold water from a few feet. You get a 'raindrop' shape with a very long thin tail (up to a few feet!) ideally as it cools rapidly. Huge stresses form in balance as the surface quickly cools and hardens while the inside cools and shrinks away. The inside is pulling on the shell 'all around' very very strongly. You can hit the head with a hammer, and within reason the hammer bounces off. Seriously. However, nick the hair fine tail and the whole thing explodes in a chain reaction that shatters the shell (at the speed of sound through glass IIRC) instantly freeing the stuff inside.

Bullets usually lose breaking them as well, bouncing off, however there have been some videos of destructive collisions......just not the one's you'd expect:

https://phys.org/news/2017-05-scientists-year-old-mystery-prince-rupert.html

Anyway I think glass uses this as a defense against our @ataxian, or at least tries to, but experience in such things is really hard to come by......can't really profit from past mistakes so you'd best be mighty good at fortelling the future.

Your FUNNIER than Don RICKLES

I break glass so much I laugh!
You can't do anything?

I have a Giant ASH COLLECTOR coming tomorrow.
SOLO PINK will like mating with it!

CANNABIS = CIVILIZED

The SOLO 2 doesn't need a PHVES fitting to operate?
STANDARD works?

Just got my Air and am planning to do my first session tonight. As someone new to vaping and marijuana in general (haven't had a puff in 12 years), my tolerance is most likely extremely low.

Any advice on how little I should put in there, what temperature to start at, which stem, etc?

I would say fill the stem most the way up, fill it 90% but don't pack it tight.

Start on the lowest temp, have one long puff, and wait 20 minutes :)

What stem doesn't matter really, play with them all in time.

That sux.....this should be publicly available from every manufacturer. I wish this could be regulated so much better as I see it as the first thing most important. I'ts like were in the cell phone industry .....way back in 1996 with the current vaporizer situation.

@LabPong Usually when Arizer comes out with a new vaporizer it's just sold through them the first month or so. It's their proogative to sell their product the way they choose. It's not like a Chinese knock off. We will see fake Arizer Air IIs and fake Solo IIs. So buyer beware.

I'm pretty sure @PuffItUp and @PlanetVape will be selling the Arizer Air II in a month or two. @PuffItUp will be selling at a more reasonable price as well. Arizer always sells their products for more than you can buy them at an online store.

Look at the Grasshopper? Hopper Labs just sells the GH at a few places. Lately you can only buy through the company.

These companies want to make as much profit as possible. If you have patients it will be the best of both worlds waiting for a better price to buy the Air II.

Oh...I have no problem on pricing....

I just have a problem with no information about exact air path details and such. I wish it were demanded in the US they have medical grade compliance on vaporizers. With as much regulation that tobacco has...and food items... It's kinda like were in the area of herbal vitamins, meds, and other naturals where the FDA is not doing anything.

I also understand the knock-offs Carol......I actually got one the first time I got an Air....I knew instantly when I did the pre-burn in process it was a fake with the toxic fuming...lol

If you say so. Many makers consider that confidential of course......no, make that all will? Those that aren't bragging at least.......and there's no need to force them, only listen they're eager to tell ya all about it. And how bad the other guy is of course. That's 'par for the course'.

I'm, personally, not in favor of Bureaucrats moving in with regulations on regulations. Not many examples of that being a good thing in other places. And it's sure to raise the prices a LOT. You know the major cost of step ladders has nothing to do with making and delivering the product, right?

I've known and discussed life with a couple of makers, I'd say they all really like the idea of regulating the other guy....... None are interested in net.experts second guessing their materials and designs (and who could blame them). A very dark corner of the industry for sure.

If we had some realistic risks to test against, like we do for other health hazards, it would be different. This is a recipe for a witch hunt since the dangers really defy measure in most cases. Take for instance this 'air path thing'. Guys don't like the 'fact' the air flows past the electronics potentially.....but what is the real risk here? Officially ZERO. Let me repeat that, no scientific, verifiable threat to test for?

@LabPong
Look at the Grasshopper? Hopper Labs just sells the GH at a few places. Lately you can only buy through the company.

There is, perhaps, another factor here: Reliability? No distributor or shop owner wants a product with more than modest defect returns. Not much profit (as you say, the maker wants it all.....) to start with, a single reject vape can wipe the profit out of many sales when it comes back in the hands of an upset customer. Happy customers is the goal, not selling known 'problem products' is often part of that. I'm sure they'd sell your shop some GH (at reduced prices) but you need to factor the risk against the profit if you want to stay in business?

Time will tell once again I suspect.

I guess I should of said..... It would be nice if every vaporizer manufacture would shoot for being medical grade. No need for gov......sorry for that thought.

I just think it is krazy to be exposed to sucking on off gassing plastics, electronics and other unsafe elements.
