I'm looking for feedback on the Iq app. I just got my Iq today and after reading the reviews on the app I'm a little concerned.

More info required.
Does it not connect? Privacy concerns? Overly hot IQ?
"Device Error - Authorization required" Shut down phone, remove battery from IQ and restart everything.
Delete, reinstall app, known error on DaVinci's side

So what are your concerns?

Yea I haven't used the app yet. Haven't even tried to connect. After reading the reviews saying that is malfunctioned users vapes I'm hesitant. Some of the reviews say it turns the unit on and begins to overheat. I like the convenience of the apps and changing temp and light but, I'm not sure if the risk is worth the reward. Just got my Iq and I don't want anything to happen to it Just looking for feedback from users that have downloaded and connected to davinci app to their davinci iq

You can use it without the app, so maybe wait for an updated version?
One reason i despise devices that need a phone to connect to to control some functions...

Yes, me too. I had the crafty and loved it but, finally succumbed to the faulty battery. :/. So far so good with the Davinci. I never used the Crafty app but, when the option is there it's annoying that I can't use it. Maybe that's why I want to use it. I feel like I can't.

The app can be a bit funny so I definitely say use it at your own risk. Ihaven't had too many issues connecting either of my IQ's to the iphone but when I tried with my ipad a few weeks ago the unit did exactly as you feared. It heated up the device to combustion point and now I have to send the unit in for repair. With that being said I can still use the app in my phone without any issues but I just don't after the incident.
