thinking of the FF2 but the stiring pushes me away

As the title suggested, i leaning into getting the FF2 but i wonder how can it be used for example with one hand when sitting on the couch and flicking tv channels ?

i'm looking to replace the joint for a vape but most of them so far seem to be tricky, either to much wait time or either finicky with usage.

was looking into Crafty but i'm not sure. seems more session based vaped, rather then hit me now and leave me alone type of session.

So it should be
on-demand , convection ,excellent flavor , i smoke about 2g p/day
thanks

To me, the FF2 is an awkward vape. Other than the inhalation once the bowl is set, you're going to need two hands. (A table is nice too.) As it gets dirty, it will become more "finicky" in regards to the lid liner and making a seal will be harder. I'm not as heavy a user as you, but 2 grams a day through the thing seems a lot. You're going to need extra charged batteries and you're going to need to clean it with some discipline.

While I like my FF2, I'm not sure it meets your needs.

From my limited perspective, I mainly see two devices that could do the job for your needs: A Grasshopper (convection, on the fly, one hand, all that) or the only thing that ever managed to replace a joint for me (I also vape around 2gr a day): A Dynavap Vapcap. Okay, that one would be with conduction and involves a butan lighter, but the taste is excellent (I have a FF2 too) and you light it, whenever you are looking for a nice stroke and then just leave it lying around until you feel ready for the next one that still tastes good. All those electronic vapes are somehow made for sessions and are not the right choice for someone who comes from smoking joints with the possibility to just take some puffs, leave it there and relight it at will later on. Most session vapes taste like shit after being turned on and off with the same filling for several times. The FF2 never made me really happy. Too much technique to make it work fine, too much here, too much there.

Excellent feedback, thanks for this.
the GH (from what i read is not reliable, which is super big turnoff for me)
Butan gas or any kind of these solutions are out of scope for me.

Its a real shame i cannot find something that will fit the purpose, you are correct with your assumption, i do love the hit-me-and-let-me-play-ps4-while-kids-are-not-here approach ;-)

and i do care also about how much weed i use

any others ?
thanks!

We are definitely looking for the same kind of device. I wait in the row, together with you, until somebody invents what we are waiting for. As said, the Dynavap does a great job for me in the meantime even though I never wanted to fiddle around with butan torches as it made me feel using a crack or meth pipe. But I imagine that the reason for the one-hand requirement has something do with a handicap of some sort? Then, of course, any thought on the Dynavap is wasted time. One needs two hands to handle that device and the lighter.

the one hand requirement comes from being lazy and having the option to multitask.
i switch to e-cigs about 5 years ago. its very convenient to have an e-cig in ure mouth while fiddling with the remote controller or with something else. for example even now, i'm in front of the PC smoking ;-) i wonder if i could vape instead....

what about using the davinci IQ?

I LOVE my IQ! But, it eats a lot and is a session vape. I've not had mine long enough to know how finicky it will be on cleaning in the long term, but I've run enough through it to know it is not going to be too much of a problem unless I really, really, really NEED to get the gunk under the liner between the oven and the flava' chamba'.

It didn't really come to mind when I read your question.

I guess it's the same as with the IQ as with the Mighty, the Crafty, the Pax 3 and all other session vapes. They do not do you want them to do (on demand hits) and eat lots of herb to do their job...

:)) You should check out the TUBO evic if you are into handmade vapes ,it is a powerful on demand convection vaporizer there is also a 2 battery version and TuboX which should work with most of the TCR supporting mods. mods! http://tubo.lamart.ch/ .http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/tubo-evic.22992/
Another option is the Venus Apollo but i dont think it is on demand in the way the tubo is. :))

thanks, ive seen this one, not really my type of device/design

i had a look @
Venus Apollo
it seems solid

Without any hesitation I would suggest the Tubo-Evic.

On demand convection!

Tubo uses standard 18650 cells where FF2 uses expensive batteries.

I have been trying to decide about a Zion vape and I see no advantage (other than the very fine woodworking skills) for me that would make it worth the price!

I could get myself 2 more Tubos for the price of one Zion.

Back to the original question. So no chance to use the ff2 easily.. Right?

Well, it's not that using the FF2 is incredibly complicated. You need one hand, once it is packed. You will have to reload it very frequently (both the bowl and the battery) to get your 2g per throughput, but it's definitely doable! Just not perfect. I, personally, never managed to develop the right technique to get the draws from the FF2 that I desire, but this is probably just me.

If you are looking for something easy and pretty efficient I would consider the Healthy Rips Force/Fury. I have the Fury and I really like it. Here are some of the pros: easy temp controls, hybrid of convection and conduction, can be a sessional or one hitter vape, price point is very attractive, solid construction, small very discreet, and great CS (Healthy Rips is very active on FC). Cons: some people have mentioned a strange taste when vaping (I have not had any issue) and not great with concentrates. They currently have a coupon code for the Fury I right now, I think for $20 off, so the Fury 1 is $119.00 after the discount.

Healthy Rips is coming out with a Fury 2 I think they are setting the price around $149.00.

I think you're better off getting a log vape and just using an extension cord. In my experience portable dry herb convection vaporizers just destroy batteries... quickly. Would love to try the Tubo though.

I'm not sure why eating through batteries is a problem. I always have a couple charging so it doesn't matter if one gets used up.
Have you considered the tubo? It's on demand and is not a session vape. It's simple to use. You can set it for "cruise" for however many seconds you want- mine is 90 seconds. When you do that it is 1 handed. You don't need to keep the button pressed in cruise.

Some dry herb devices go through batteries so fast, it just gets annoying to even call it pseudo-portable when you constantly need 120v power for your 18650 charger.

My concern will be the non replaceable battery

How about a Davinci IQ then? You can get 18650 replacement batteries from anywhere not just from Davinci, I bought 2 extra batteries for $14USD. However, the IQ is for flowers only. The battery life IMO is little better on the Davinci as well.

But the problem with him is that when I would like to use it for on demand I'll have to load alot of flower and mostly won't be used.
The 10 timer will help me with the session vape, but the on demand won't work here.
