My cat this morning said goodbye to this world :cry:, I had to sacrifice it to avoid suffering ...

17 years at my side :rockon:, sleeping every day in my lap and greeting every day when I get home ...

You will always be in my heart BIMBA !! I love you :love:

So sorry @Whissmu. 17 years is a great long life together. But that only makes it harder.

Sorry @Whissmu , for your loss.
All of these losses of late remind me to think of Ecclesiastes 3 (1-8), from which the song "Turn, Turn, Turn" sung by many artists sprung (written by Pete Seeger).
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.

Pete Seeger wrote the song, and sings it with Judy Collins in the Video thread at

Just found this stray cat in front of our place this weekend hiding in a bush meowing crazy loud. We're trying to get him a home so we made some gifs of him to show. We can't keep him and really don't want to take him to a shelter. Not really looking for adopters on here or anything (unless you live in southern california), I just think he's cute.

He's adorable. Looks A LOT like our Anabel. That attracts me to him and makes me wish I felt we could give it a try but we just can't.

If you're unable to find him a home, please try to get a rescue organization to take him rather than leaving him at a shelter where he might be euthanized.

Found pictures of Anabel I posted in this thread awhile back. Can't manage to create a hyperlink but it's post #3873 on page 155.

Edit: Last March, our pet sitter (well-recommended but a stranger to our kitty) posted a video of Anabel on YouTube so we could see how they played together. It's silly (and was posted earlier in this thread), but here if you're interested...mostly to compare and see the resemblance. The video will NEVER go viral. :lol:

Absolutely taking him to a no-kill shelter if we can't find a home for him. We actually have to go with a friend in another city to do it, our city shelter euthanizes and they check id's now. Unfortunately we'll probably have to do that soon, we seem to be a magnet for stray animals and the people we know are sick of us trying to get them to adopt them. We're pretty bummed about having to take him. He's young and cute though, he'll get a home.

Our Anabel has been "helping" my husband work at his computer lately. I enjoy watching them. :)

Ha ha I know how this is, cat's are always so helpful. Mine loves to fall asleep on my shoes before I need to leave in the morning. Adorable cat, I totally see the resemblance.
