certain perspectives of cannabis use is spiritually derived as in sparking neurogenesis for new inner visualized ideas to formulize... meditation and inner vision go well with the cannabis

too, I would like to call it spiritual as opposed to religious but that is just terminologies...
Right, it's just like eating dessert. It's comfort food like wine with your meals or bread and wine at church even

When I say religion and ritual i honestly just mean physics. U can bump religious or spiritual but physics balls it all up. Sobriety was never our ancestors inspiration. Religions are just for lightweights and so on to hallucinate with the cool kids...though I say again the psychoactivity of marijuana is mostly subjective

What...?

Religion/Ritual = Physics?

Physics:
phys·ics
ˈfiziks/
noun

  1. the branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The subject matter of physics, distinguished from that of chemistry and biology, includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound, electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms.
So what's THC mean to you? :science:
JUS<THC? or JUS=THC? or JUS/THC? or JUS≥THC? etc...
hiatus.jpg

I posted this question in the news and activism section under "Cannabis, religion, America, feminism" because somehow it touches nerves either way
What? "Jus"?

Right, it's just like eating dessert. It's comfort food like wine with your meals or bread and wine at church even
Using internally psychoactive Cannabis is like eating dessert?

Wine at church is literally a single sip. You don't get buzzed at church.

...all I know is youre pretty full of it to think cannabis and Christianity arnt itertwined..they coin it "stoning" for reasons.
Is Christianity physics also? What does Cannabis have to do with Christianity? Why is it that you think they call it "being stoned" when you use Cannabis?

...they don't make bulletproof and child proof lids on pepper dispensers so why start doing it with something less powerful
Because pepper isn't more "powerful" than Cannabis...? We feed kids pepper with complete safety. We don't get kids stoned (for the most part, excluding those with debilitating diseases like seizures, and even then, Cannabis products with minimal or no THC are usually used first).

1. Makes no sense. There is no god in physics. There is no savior, or miracles, or any of that in math/science.

2. You're the one who made that indecipherable post in the first place, but can't even explain it.

3. Complementary? You mean to complement something else? What if someone take so opiods for that purpose? Are they similar to dessert? Bad comparison. Dessert doesn't get you buzzed unless it's drug infused.

4.
-So were water, fish, figs, clothes, currency, pigs, sheep, children... Being in the Bible doesn't make something intertwined with Christianity.
-What does the term "stoned" have to do with religion? You left that out.

5.
-A gram of pepper isn't that much...have you never hadn't pepper crusted tuna? Habeneros and ghost peppers are insanely potent compared to commonly eaten ones, and eating them isn't like doing drugs. You might get a small endorphin rush from spicy food, but you don't get high or stoned on it, like you do with a legitimate drug like Cannabis.

-If you're saying that it's dangerous, because you'll cough and choke, then cinnamon is in the same boat. That only means that being a fool with it is dangerous, as is the case with almost anything. Getting a child high on Cannabis is just stupid, and allowing them access to do so themselves, is just as bad.

It's just a poor comparison.

OK, I'd like to get back to why cannabis is medical discussion= thank you

After starting this thread I have mentally, psychically, been sending out the feelers to understand it and be a wiser person... I have the knowledge of why but still lack a deeper full understanding of how... this led me back to basics and the fundamentals of our 3d reality... Geometry! or shape and form...

Geometric shape and form is simply why cannabis has a medical effect or can be a medically viable approach to benefit humans...
Molecules that the cannabis plant species creates from soil and water and air are similar shaped compound structures that identify with cellular functioning in the human to keep cells in a state of homeostasis... of course, these molecules are called cannabinoids and because they are plant based they are known as phyto-cannabinoids..
to clarify... the ( crystal formed geometry) shape specific structure, size, weight, of the phyto-cannabinoids impart direct biological functioning @ the cell walls via cannabinoid receptor channels that form on cellular surfaces when neuron-modulatory through signalling is needed to maintain the cell! Any homeostasis information that goes in and out of cells does so through these cannabinoid ion channels that rely on exacting shaped structures to activate them or deactivate them...

This is so important and we have shown that when there is not enough correct lipid fat in you to formulate intracellular signalling endocannabinoids the cell suffers from that lack of vital carrier information structures and less cannabinoid ion channels are created on the cellular surfaces to maintain that cell... that is when oxidized ions start to accumulate and the cell turns off signalling to save itself but starves in the process..

next big question... how and why does cannabis make such shapes to move effortlessly thorough our most fundamental biology= cellular make up and functioning? I know in some deep part of me that while growing to maturity the cannabis plant uses the crystals absorbed from dirt and harmonizes that crystallized energy into structural life giving molecules that carry that informational sequencing pattern onto other life forms, ie human... the human then identifies with those structures when they are introduced to our anatomy...

here is a great report explaining how we make endocannabinoids from omega three fat! Thanks goes to Granny Storm Crow!

I'd like to add to my statement above in that you cannot " force" biology onto an organism to affect change, that is not what I'm saying at all... The canna specific biological assay resides in cellular bio-chemical recognition that metabolizes through signalling peripherally @ the adaptable receptors.. it's adaptable biology that peripherally adjusts according to conditions presented... I don't know where that came from it just sounded Good lol

If you use believe there is a medical benefit from using MJ then you can call it medical. It doesn’t matter what the state claims or what anyone else thinks. On the other hand it doesn’t mean those who disagree with the medical position are wrong, they just have a different perspective.

In another FC thread it was alluded that only doctors should be able to hand out active molecules for medicininal use?!?... active molecules are everywhere in nature! they are responsible for bio-medical effects of cannabis and other active substances that impact human biology... another annoying and great at the same time thing with plants is diversity in nature! doctors will grow one profile of cannabis to prescribe everyone! opposite = everyone can experiment with all profiles of cannabis to find a fit for your receptors... I do not know if any of you followed the rackett a few years back about families being arrested and kids taken from them because the family was moving to a legal cannabis State to get cbd for their child.. anyway , the Jaden family had to try 128 different versions of thc/cbd with their child to finally stop his seizures! it was so far from " one for all" like doctors offered it was not funny... cbd by itself can be disastrous!

Ok, is it not the same plant with different breeders? until Monsanto gets ( rapes) into cannabis' genes I do not expect anything other than varying cannabinoid ratios as presented from different growers... Plus, we are breeding more cbd into strains now than then although cbd was more natural back then and has been bred out only to be reintroduced now

I believe all of us that are using Cannabis are using it for one purpose and one purpose only "To Medicate" which leads me to saying there is no Recreational... There is only Medical... If Cannabis is nothin like alcohol why are we letting MPP Marijuana Policy Project shove Tax & Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol up our A#%'s follow the money, George Soros of Monsanto founded MPP...

most people have fun when they medicate with cannabis if they get it right so I'd say it is recreational too... what other medicines are actually Fun!? a few may be but not many

Rather than calling it "recreational", I prefer to call it a "mood lifter/ mood enhancer".
People spend billions on "anti-depressants" which are clearly medical. And what is the opposite of "depressed", that would be "feeling good" which cannabis provides.
That's why I tend to classify 90% of cannabis use as medical, even when the user might just call it recreational. They are using it to help them feel good, to not feel bad or depressed or stressed or anxious or XXX.

And cannabis is proving to be the greatest preventative medicine too. A milligram a day keeps the Dr away :)

Do you consider all drug use to be medical, then? Why is using Cannabis to get stoned any different than doing the same with Percocet or Xanax? They're both examples of using drugs for recreation. Cannabis being safer doesn't change that fact.

Also, Cannabis isn't "nothing like alcohol". Just because it works differently, and is safer, doesn't mean it's not a drug used to get buzzed.

The difference between prescription antidepressants and Cannabis, is that you don't feel the mood enhancing effects from each dose of Prozac, Lexapro, etc.. You let them build up in your system, and overall have less negative symptoms in your life. When you use Cannabis, you get buzzed.

Also, people use antidepressants when they have chemical imbalances. They are used to balance those issues. Antidepressants are rarely taken to elevate relatively normal levels of chemicals, in an attempt to feel a buzz.

Except none of those other chemicals work. There is no clinical proof that they work. And prescription pharmaceuticals are the third leading cause of death in the country, and that does not mean people are overdosing on them. Thousands of people a day die from their regularly scheduled dosage of medicine/poison.

Wow, I don't even know where to begin here.
Saying that those pharma meds have less negative symptoms than Cannabis is a real "Jeff Sessions" moment :)
Cannabis has what, dry mouth??
Here's just for one, Prozac:
  • nausea,
  • upset stomach,
  • constipation,
  • headaches,
  • anxiety,
  • sleep problems (insomnia),
  • drowsiness,
  • dizziness,
  • nervousness,
  • heart palpitations,
  • loss of appetite or increase in appetite,
  • weight changes,
  • cold symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat),
  • dry mouth,
  • decreased sex drive,
  • impotence, or
  • difficulty having an orgasm.
And if they use anti-depressants for chemical imbalances, what do you think we use cannabis for, a chemical imbalance of our ECS system. Cannabis provides the ECS with the boost it needs to properly regulate almost every system in our body.

Cannabis is often a 100,000X better option than big pharma. I was preparing evidence for a public health mtg on adding PTSD to our med cannabis program. I thought I'd read the side effects of med VA typically gives to vets with PTSD to the
panel. The list was 17 computer screens long...LOL but it's no laughing matter :(
Israeli PTSD cannabis study: cannabis is showing spectacular results for PTSD.

Big pharma has its place, last place, after trying the natural medicine that helps your body heal its imbalances.

P.S. I usually don't feel a buzz

EDIT: Not anti-pharma, just sayin' the least harmful options should always be tried first.
Since cannabis has never killed one person after trillions of doses, that would seem the logical first choice.

Prescription drugs don't work? What..?

Antidepressants most definitely help a huge amount of people with issues such as low seratonin levels. Just because some people have had bad experiences, doesn't mean that's the norm. It's far from it. Many people are unable to live healthy lives without prescription antidepressants.

I didn't say they cause less negative effects than other Cannabis. I said they lessen the negative symptoms in your life (depression, etc.).

Also, all of those things you listed, are potential side effects. Not everyone experiences any of them, let alone all of them. Even people who do, can often find a different antidepressant that won't have the same negative effect on them.

Perhaps this discussion fits better in the SSRI thread, though.

How many threads do we need where those who have problems with prescription meds express their opinions. And I mean opinions. There are now 2 threads which have turned into this kind of polemic which neither thread had as the initial topic.
How about just starting one thread where those of you who are opposed to the pharma industry and think people should use cannabis instead of other meds can post instead of hijacking other threads.

And I mean opinions.

It's not an opinion that prescription drugs are one of the leading causes of death in the United States. It's a fact.

And nothing is being hijacked. This is a medical discussion, why we should not be allowed to compare cannabis as medicine to more mainstream western medications, in a thread titled "what makes cannabis medicinal?"
