I like the 58's quite a bit as well. I just picked up a 10-pack of them in the 2oz size, hopefully that means that the earlier rumors of the 58's being discontinued were in error, or that the decision was reversed. The 2oz size is perfect for these 2oz jars that I like to keep samples of my favorite dispensary strains in:
I was keeping these jars in their box to keep them light-tight, but then when I was looking for something to keep shatter fresh and brittle I found the only well-rated (many knock-offs) usb-powered 'refrigerator':
It automatically runs in 'low power mode' when powered by usb, and it also comes with a 12v and an ac adapter where it supposedly runs colder, but I've found the low power mode perfect for this use. Maybe if you wanted to put beer/soda in it go with a different power source. The little 2-oz jars pictured above fit perfect on the upper shelf, these jars go underneath, and the shatter fits neatly inside the door:

I do need to make a correction though.I severely overestimated the storage capacity of the lower area of the usb refrigerator, and since the jars arrived I have been searching for a new solution. I felt pretty silly when they came from amazon because I already have those pint jars in my kitchen, just in clear. Now I have four more blue ones, cool but only one of them fits, and it's very tight height-wise. When I was at the hardware store today I took a shot at these, bought a whole dozen no biggie I always find a use for jars it seems. They're much better but still not a perfect fit, because to fit four of these jars in this same area of the refrigerator requires two of the jars to be stored upside-down. It's that tight, but there is a good 3/4" of room to spare height-wise, so perhaps there's an even more prefect 8-oz jar out there; a little taller & skinnier but not too different would be perfect.

Just ordered one thanks mate! I have been using the Caliber 111's the last 3 years. I am yet to have one unit that didn't die within 12 months.
I have returned each one under warranty. Currently I have 2 new units which were only £6 each on Amazon.
They arrived dispaying identical humidity readings. Now they are 1% apart. I have had them 2% apart in the past, in which case I split the difference.
I wish hygrometers were generally more reliable, I will see hiw this new one reads.

So if I read all this right, if I throw one of the little 4gr versions of the 58rh it may help keeping a 2-3grams of flower moist? It certainly can't hurt it seems. Not sure my rh right now but I've had a little jar'd up for a while and I'm certain it's losing a little smell and it's certainly more dry than it used to be. I'm looking to simply add a little moisture if possible. These are in small 2oz jars.

The smallest is 4 grams, not 2. I have this size & I use them in 4 oz jars. Put it in & leave it for a week before checking on it.

@toked23, yes, it will. I had 2 types of herb lingering around for quite some time & they were really dry, especially during the winter months with hot-air heating & no humidification. So I tried these & they re-hydrated them nicely over time. The key is to give it a little time to work & not to keep opening the jar to peek as this allows the humidity to escape. Definitely give it a week before you take a peek; OK, at least 5 days.

Obviously it'll depend on how dry the flowers are, but around how long does it take these packs to reach the humidity percentage level they are intended for?
Herbs absorb moisture pretty fast (1-3 days depending on how dry the herbs are ofc). Having less air in the container will help speed up the process.

Would adding another 2nd pack inside of the jar also speed up the process?
More packs will definitely help. You can always stick with the packs but a drop (or 2) of water in the jar will help speed things up too.

I've also been using the http://mypharmjar.com Miron Jar with the built in humidity % displayed at the top ... That and the three Bovedas work great over a 4 month lifespan for an ounce of material ... It all fits perfectly

@rozroz LOL, Do you happen to live in the UK? It’s cool if you would rather not say, but I ask because:
My first 62% came with a cvault over 3 years ago. It’s never gotten more than a little gritty/granular, very little; even later when I realised the cvault wasn’t totally smell-proof, so not air-tight. I picked up a quality, big hygrometer, it’s not huge but not the tiny ones that can go in the container. Anyway the drawer where things are stays at 62% pretty much year round. I live in England and our windows are open quite a lot, like most homes here we’ve no air conditioning or hot air furnace in winter so I guess that’s why. Pretty cool, so now I don’t bother and just use oxygen absorbers in jars and everything is righteous!
I ordered a 58% from a OHS and got a 50% instead which was waaay too dry for our uses, imo. Never got another but maybe I should try a 58% sometime. But I’ll probably wait until I’m not living in the UK!

I got the small c-vault w/o the hinges & it's in no way smell-proof. So bad, don't use it.

Yeah, I suspected that about the little one, so I never ordered one. I do have one of the medium and three of the large that I've been using for a couple years now with no issues.

My cvault is the medium, I’ve wondered if it’s the clamps or the silicone seal.
@Summer The oxygen absorber removes the extra oxygen in your container, if it is airtight. I was taught that light, oxygen and heat were the big 3 baddies for bud, so I try to avoid those 3 conditions with my herb. They’re super cheap!
