Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

FlyingLow

Team NO SLEEP!
I typically switch rigs between flower and herb, and don't particularly like vaping flowers out of my oil rig (and vice versa). I am curious how I would do that if I got one, or perhaps I'd just get over it and clean even more often.

I love the NewVape box/tray and it holds my screens and FP accessories like the lolli cap. It is coolest aluminum machined box I own by a mile (gotta love the hemp touch, beautiful). I lined mine with black leather so it is very swank and it's the only stand I use to perch my FP handle on.

Hit us with some sexy photos please! :)

I bought the NewVape coil and just soldered an XLR connector using their pin out diagram.
I use it with my China controller and it works awesome!

I quite like the fact that @NewVape710 recommends their package as a "tried and tested" option.
At least when you buy all their products you are guaranteed a working vaporizer.

This is not a computer peripheral that needs to be able to be plugged into the exact same port worldwide.

We should also add that Errlectric has their own custom coils etc as well as many other vendors out there. Just because we decide we want it to work differently, does not mean the manufacturer has to jump and bow to our every wish.
I have discovered over the years, us vaporists want stuff to work the way WE want it to work and not the way it was intended to work.

I bought my @NewVape710 Flower Pot knowing this and knowing what i would need to do to get it to work with the equipment i had on hand, no complaints whatsoever!
It's a great product that works extremely well.

And again this is the Flower Pot thread!

Just my humble opinion and my :2c:
I don't want it to work differently man. I want an option to buy a heater coil that is compatible with my controller. These heater coils are almost as ubiquitous to the dab industry as the resin itself is!!! This is not some unique revolutionary design for a heater which NV can only make the one way or it may be unsafe and risk interfering with the space-time continuum! This is the humble e-nail coil we are talking about: it is as tried and true as it gets!

We have more different coils available out there that are known to work well and safely than you could shake all of my dabbers at (and I assure you, that is a lot of dabbers brother!)!

Well made coils using the typical d-nail pin arrangement and XLR cables have clearly stood the test of time. All I am saying is that if companies like NV want to make their product more appealing to people who are not buying a new e-nail controller or ordering barrel coils elsewhere and paying additional shipping just to use the flowerpot, they should also offer conventional coils. If not, they're losing sales. That is all. I represent one of those lost sales for now.

Not all of us who use controllers/coils from other brands are using unreliable products that get hot or fail to work. In many cases, we need an option to buy a barrel coil from the vendor if we are going to be interested in checking out the flowepot. A lot of us use flat coils only these days. I am one of them. 4 e-nail controllers, nothing but flat coils.

I pointed out genuine ambiguity in the comments that NV made about competitors products, because they voiced concerns that I was 'putting words in their mouth'.

I am saying that safe reliable coils that work with most competitors controllers are a dime a dozen, NV seem to have no problem releasing otherr products that imitate tried and true designs in the industry - so why this one? The safety/reliability argument simply does not hold water IME. I am saying that I have already lived the experience of having good quality coils that will fit my requirements and can't see why NV wouldn't stock these in order to be able to meet the needs of more customers?

No response has been offered by NV.

I just want them to offer coils for retail that work with most people's controllers so I don't need to buy redundant cheaper versions of shit that I already own just to use the product without making another purchase elsewhere for a compatible coil and paying more shipping.

There is absolutely no way that I am soldering anything. I do not want to solder anything myself for my vapes ever, I'm a medical user with too little free time as it is! E-nail coils cost enough that if I'm paying, I want it to work with my controller with no additional labor from me :peace: No problem if you don't mind soldering your own of course man, that is your decision to make obviously :)

They don't make coils with different arrangements and I won't stump up for shipping from another vendor just to buy a barrel coil to make it work, so I won't buy their product for now. Nothing was lost :peace:

I tried to find a solution, couldn't and voiced that. Got accused of putting words in someone's mouth and my response raising the vendor's initial ambiguity which led to my choice of words was ignored. Maybe sometime in the future there'll be an option to buy this product without asking so many questions here to know what I need to buy (the website does not seem to have any package that gives you everything you need to use the flowerpot and there are a variety of required components!) and without having to buy redundant hardware that I already own because of incompatible interfaces, or without ordering components elsewhere. Until then, peace. :peace:

I do sincerely thank all of those who did assist in giving me information about the product here though, you guys have been great!

So why not use your controller on hand with a coil that works with it? Problem solved.
I think @NewVape710 has been more than accommodating with all of our requests for modifications to the machinable parts.
They have a 20mm and a 16mm FP version, so if you have a coil to use just buy the basics.

There are always ways around problems that are not really problems.

As i said i am a case in point.
I did not want to buy their controller but found a solution on my own that works fantastically.
I am sure you have equipment that you can repurpose to use a 16 or 20mm Flower Pot.

Bro I don't own any barrel coils and do not use nails with barrel coils. All of my nails are flat coil nails as I said in my last post. I need to order a barrel coil to use a flowerpot. That means additional purchases and additional shipping costs that I can't justify for the small amounts of non-full melt hash that I ever have. I only would use a flowerpot for non full melt hash. :peace:

@FlyingLow this is our number one concern when discussing (not demonstrating) the flowerpot with experienced concentrate enail users. The trick is to stay well below combustion temp and you will soon forget about that concern. If or when your flowerpot rig does get tainted with smoke a hot alcohol / salt bath for the glass will establish the pure clean taste again. Alcohol clean the titanium parts. Rinse with water then lightly torch all the titanium parts (minus hemp wick). I perform the salt and hot alcohol bath on my glass weekly. The flowerpot does require a bit of a technique to master. Carb capping low temp flower hits is new to everyone. Once the technique is mastered one rig and one temp is all that I need. And i'm allergic to crappy tasting smokey rigs.

Alrighty then! All caught up and i have no idea as to how it will work with that substance.
I think @grokit is using a flat coil and has some pictures of his setup in the thread.
So technically you can make it work especially if you are just heating the dish as your main surface.

I have used bought shatter, home made shatter, store bought rosin and my home made rosin and they all dab nicely off the quartz dish. I would like to try a Sic dish as i think you recommend it over quartz?

Most certainly my friend. SiC > quartz every day of the week. :D You'll have a blast!

Non full melt hash should work very well with a S&B concentrate pad or similar in the flower bowl to prevent any goop running through the rig. IME these e-nail type vapes (d-nail flower adapter, flowerpot, errlectric etc are good products for non-full melt hash. They're all fast to use and easy to clean, always on and offer additional heat beyond what is required for flowers (which is crucial for these hashes).

It seems like he used the flat coil in addition to a barrel coil in the pics I've seen, IIRC the flat coil alone did not provide ideal functioning. I need a flowerpot or similar for the flower bowl section which I understand is not so well heated by a flat coil.

I elected to absorb the extra cost of postage and import taxes for the option of potential compatibility with other products later down the line. I dont want multiple controller boxes hanging around.

So that means I bought the FP but got the controller and coil from elsewhere, my first enail purchase ever.

The flowerPot was never designed to work with a flat coil. To vaporize flower the air must travel thru the holes in the center post surrounded by the 16mm / 20mm barrel coils. I'm sure the flat coil will work for heating the bottom of the dish for dabs.

the hemp wick we use is made in florida and dipped in beeswax (no glue) and will be sticky at first. There a wonderfull small florida business with cool products. https://www.hempwick.com/

Yeah, I like them too. Hippies from New Smyrna I think? Used to live in Volusia Co. I have bought their hemp wick from them directly after you pointed them out to me as the source you use. Like those guys too! :)

My friends used to use hemp wick, and glass wands, and herb irons, and all sorts of things to try and make smoking more enjoyable... always thought it was weird they didn't just switch to vapor!

Back in the days where the cool kids were using a Hakko to spark a bowl, there weren't a lot of vapes around in general use. The Volcano was a magic carpet no one (I knew) rode and the MFLB was the only vape that seemed to actually work. Even then, you'd have to study to get it right. Today's vapes are crazy better. When's the last time you saw someone pull out their soldering iron to partake?

LOL you might be surprised, my buddy was ritually using an herb iron recently until it broke. Been a while since I seen anyone using a quartz wand though. Those were my favorite, you can actually get some vaporization going on if you are careful enough.

My uncle had an Evolution 7 and a Volcano; so I got some exposure to vaporizers earlier than some. I remember they were very expensive at the time.

Omg just bought a supreme now I need this. Anyone got a quick run down of how it performs against the supreme in pure cloud output?

I've got a supreme v3 @Tommy10 and I can tell you for a fact you'll be over the moon with your purchase....... however I too need a flowerpot in my life at some point as I love dabbing and really need a dedicated enail so the flowerpot serves both purposes for herb and dabs which might well mean the trusty supreme gathers dust :(.

Can't comment on how they compare but I'd hazard a guess that the flavour from the flower pot is a bit better (not that the supreme is poor flavour wise far from it) being more convection unlike a fully inserted aluminium tube next to the heat sink. Think it would also be more practical too as your not heating a chunk of metal via butane torch your just switching it on at the socket.

Both have there plus points and drawbacks so why not have both :D that's my intention some day soon!
