Multi-brand HEALTHY RIPS FURY

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
I've been using a fury for a couple of days now and I really like it so far.

I think it has great taste along with huge clouds of smooth vapor for such a small electric portable, I didn't think the 4 minute sessions would be long enough but it works out fine for me.

I've only done 8-9 sessions recharging it once when it got down to one bar after 7, so battery life seems decent enough too.

Those are just my first impressions with limited use but I believe the Fury is a keeper.

Now if I can figure out a way to block out the red and green lights in the mouthpiece I'll be even happier with it since most of my use is in very low light and the lights make it less than discreet and seem counterproductive to the stealthy size of this vape.

Peace All.

Good to see you here, @RUDE BOY .I think a small piece of black electrical tape will do wonders to conceal the suspicious glow. I believe the folks at HR are considering some changes to the vape based on our responses so perhaps the 2.0 version will address the issue of stealth. Still rocking my Fury as the daily driver. It gives me a full day of support with 3-4 sessions starting at 385-390. Most days I can get a few 3-4 hit uses before I need to raise the temps to extract more goodies. Ready to donate both grasshoppers to charity!

I received my Fury a few weeks ago and thought I'd chime in with my impressions after getting to know it a bit.

First off I really like the body of the Fury. It has a solid metallic density to it that makes it feel really durable. The coating/finish is excellent, smooth and satiny. You can squeeze the body of the vape itself very vigorously and there's almost zero flex. Only weak point is the large screen on top really, and that feels quite solid as well. Can't say how it stands up to solvents yet but I'll report back if I notice anything weird.

I've been carrying my Fury around in the yard with me while doing chores because it feels like it could take a tumble without any issue; feel very comfortable carrying it in my pockets. I worry a tad about the exposed micro USB port on the bottom but tis the nature of battery vapes.

I do wish the buttons and the mouth piece were made of the same Kirsite material as the body though. They don't feel cheap or anything, it's just noticeably different compared to the body. Plastic never feels as good as metal IMO.

The MP gets quite hot as it absorbs heat from your vapour (cools it nicely I think) so it must be made of some pretty good plastic/glass; but it just doesn't feel quite as nice as the body. Doesn't have the same density and the finish is more slippery and plastic feeling compared to the smooth coated finish on the body.

Also minor nitpick but because the materials of the body and MP/Buttons are different, even though they're all black, they appear quite different in direct light. Not a big deal just something to note. Again it's not that the buttons and MP are bad, it's just noticeable that the body is better.

Onto use. The heat-up time is excellent. It's not quite on demand but 20-30s is plenty fast for me. And the Fury is ready when it says it is; immediate vapour once it's up to temp. Excellent performance here. I do think you should be able to turn the indicator lights off though. Just seems like it'd be an easy thing to do and then you get to brag about a "stealth" feature.

I did not notice a foul taste as some other members have reported. I would say the Fury is not the best tasting vape I own, but it's certainly not the worst. It's definitely enjoyable IMO. I can taste my herb and the differences in flavour between strains. Not as good as my Solo 2, but much better than the Alternate I think.

I think the Fury does burn through the tasty terps quite quickly.. but I seem to be getting a few good flavour hits initially with each bowl.

I think the Fury definitely hits like a convection vape. It's probably truly a hybrid physical system like some members have pointed out.. science checks out to me. But IMO the airy hits and relatively open draw make it perform primarily like a convection device.

I really enjoy how the Fury hits. It has a pretty open draw and what restriction it does have feels more like a useful limit to keep the vapour consistent. The intake holes are small so you can only draw so fast; no matter how hard you pull you're not going to get more air at a certain point.. But that limit is a pleasant place for me. I really like the way the Fury hits..

Vapour is really smooth. Has very little throat irritation and the design of the MP is pretty good at catching little particles. This is one vape I feel no need to use with water or whip.

My friends liked it too (they did not report a foul taste either). They do not typically like most "plastic"/battery vapes but they were so impressed with the Fury they asked me to show them the website after our session! (Which is branded on the side of the vape.. not a huge fan of that TBH :\)

The bowl size is perfect for me. It's quite small, only a pinch to fill.. but I really prefer vapes that take a "less is more" approach to vaping. I think it's easy to get large clouds and taste out of a pile of weed; takes a good design to do the same with a pinch.

The Fury makes really good use of the herb you put in it and it doesn't need a full bowl to perform well. Cooks the whole load evenly with no stirring required. This is essential to me for a vape to be a daily driver.. I love all my vapes but when I see the pile of AVB on my desk it's hard to justify using some of them at times. The Fury never makes me feel like I'm wasting herb and I don't have to fiddle with the load while vaping, so I find myself reaching for it quite frequently.

I do wish the entire loading area of the bowl was tapered though, so it acted more like a funnel. The very rim of the bowl is. That works good.. But I find the flatter area around the bowl can allow herb to get stuck in the edges. And since the MP kind of snaps into the body there I like to keep that area as clean as possible. If that edge or the MP gets gunked up it is a little bit of a pain to snap off.

I would agree that the way the MP comes off feels a little weird.. I felt as if I was going to break it the first few times but after removing it over and over I've gotten used to it. No sign of wear or tear yet.

I could see it being difficult for some people with less mobility in their hands though.. It's not so much that it requires an extreme amount of force; it's just an odd angle that it needs to be applied at. I feel like I'm snapping the Fury's neck each time :p.

On the plus side there's no threads or glass stems to worry about maintaining. And since the MP is a softer material than the body only the MP should wear down with use if any wear was to happen.. and that's easy to replace as Healthyrips has pointed out. I think the approach the Fury has taken has it's benefits.

Battery life is pretty good. I agree with @RUDE BOY I'm getting ~8-10 sessions. Get more doing it back to back. Charging time is fine.

All in all I'm very pleased with the Fury. I think it's an excellent vape that hits well above it's price tag. It's durable and small form factor make it really stand out in a world of mass produced black rectangles. Just like when you pick up an expensive cell phone the Fury has a presence in the hand that leaves a strong initial impression and the vapour it provides keep the good vibes coming. I would recommend this vape to anyone who is looking for an efficient portable, that feels durable and provides consistently satisfying/smooth vapour.

I would not recommend this vape to someone who is looking for replaceable batteries, or the biggest thickest clouds. It is not the strongest vape I own and it rarely leaves me coughing and spluttering like my Tubo can easily(which sometimes you want after a long day).. That's not a bad thing! But if you're looking for something to provide thick milky clouds the Fury might not be as satisfying for you. In my experience the hits are always pleasant and "full"; but typically on the airy side no matter what temp/draw speed I try.

TL : DR: The Fury is an excellent vape IMO. I strongly feel it's worth the price. The hits it provides are extremely smooth and always satisfying for me. Heat-up time is excellent, battery life is sufficient, performance is superb. Definitely consider this one!

Oh wow this thing is amazing and it's so tiny. I hit 380 smooth tasty clouds then to 390 to 400 to 410 was highest and it was pumping out alot of thick vapor. Big clouds from such a tiny cape. I love it set used it once still fill battery. It's well made very solid. For the price you cannot beat this little fury.

New to the forum but been vaping for about 15 years(og volcano)

I've had the fury for a couple days now. So far battery life is the only drawback for me. The flavor improved after soaking the blue silicone grommet and screen in warm, soapy water for a bit, as well as running some through the mouthpiece.

Like everyone else, I'd prefer no red/green lights and a replaceable battery.

How are you guys cleaning your mouthpiece, since they say not to soak in anything? swabbing with alcohol?

**After further testing the battery life is disappointing. I'm only getting through two smallish bowls(maybe 5-6 run cycles at the most while temp stepping and staying on mostly lower temps) before it goes completely dead. I guess this is normal??

Yeah it's not great I get about 4 bowls per battery but I quickly boost to max temp.

4-6 bowls, or 4-6 sessions?

How are you guys cleaning your mouthpiece? Seems like a real PITA

I use the EQ basket screens to keep it cleaner and condense the bowl size.

Hey All,

Just joined this forum, everyone is so respectful and has great insights... I LOVE this forum.

I have been following the discussion regarding the Fury. I finally decided to buy one as I have been very impressed with the transparency, respect, and service of the Healthy Rips team.

I have also been very impressed with the performance of the Fury especially at this price point. I like the fact that you don't need to stir your herbs, and the AVB comes out consistent and perfectly extracted. The vape seems very solid and well constructed. However, the mouthpiece is a little challenging to remove.

With respect to battery life... I have not found it to be a major issue. I keep my temp around 345F and I turn the vape off after 2 large inhales. The bowl stays hot enough for the herbs to continue to cook so I am able to get 2/3 more inhales after the vape is off. I have finished 3 bowls (with buds) and one session with concentrates and my battery is still indicating 2 bars.

I have a question:

What is the recommended temp for concentrates?

Thanx

Welcome to FC, @Tiny88 . You will want to be towards the upper limits of temperature to use concentrate with your Fury. I personally have not tried any yet in mine. I am certain @paytonpenn or another fellow member will be able to give a more specific temp range. Maybe the good folks from Healthy Rips will chime in here. They have a great forum presence.....

I like to load mine into some cotton set it to 195-220 (383-430) and begin my draw around the 160C (320F) time. I normally take a long draw but it doesn't get to temp before I'm ready to turn it off. I like to just hit it draw per draw but I'm also on higher temp (honestly I'm normally 195C for hit one to three; 220C until its dry fiber).

Hi Guys and Gals, we have been wanting to catch up on this forum - but we have been super busy at the Champs Counterculture show in Vegas.
The battery life on the FURY has been great for us - try charging it for 90 to 120 minutes even if the battery indicator is showing full. You should be getting a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes of use depending on your vape temperature (longer if at lower temps).
As far as oils - we sampled quite a few oils in the FURY at Champs and the flavor from the terpenes was amazing with nice clouds as well. We also found that mixing a drop or two of oil with your herb added another dimension to the experience.
The posts above have been very helpful and we appreciate all the responses!
We have designed a 'smell cover' for the FURY as well - we just finished testing the prototype and it will be available on our website in about 3 weeks. We will keep you posted.

Hey Healthy Rips, if you add oil to the herbs should I be using the concentrate quartz container or just use the regular bowl?

Hi Tiny88, if you add oil to your herb - you can use the regular bowl. Try one drop at first and experiment from there.

When talking about 'smell', I'm hoping for news or progress on using differently cured odorless neutral tasting silicones in the future. Of course, personal opinion, but this one is far more important than a smell cover. I'd love to exchange my plastic smell/taste in favor of a weed smelly but neutral tasting unit.
Anyways, any others plans about future upgrades/changes like the stealth mode I was suggesting a while back? Seems more people are interested in that feature.

Definitely interested in all your efforts and progress!

@vapen00b, of course we are taking all the much appreciated feedback and improving our products. At Champs we did sessions with numerous friends in the industry including the DaVinci team, Planet of the Vapes and Stu from FC - and we all enjoyed the flavor of the herb from the FURY. Even though we are not experiencing any 'taste' from the silicone, we had an all-evening meeting with our manufacturing team and we agreed to test every type of food-grade silicone we can get our hands on - and we guarantee that we will not stop until we find the perfect silicone with a neutral/no flavor to satisfy even the most sensitive palate. We want nothing but the best experience for our clients. We also discussed the stealth and we will add an option to turn off the indicator light as well.

We use 100% food grade materials for the entire air/vapor path - but we will continue to take your valuable feedback and further improve our products - we give you our promise.

The cover we developed for the FURY was an upgrade that we could implement quickly - that is why we started our improvements with the cover. It actually serves a couple of purposes 1. Smell stealth 2. Screen protector.

We will keep you posted on the progressions of our upgrades and improvements.

All the Best!

Fun that you mention DaVinci, because they served us the exact same explanation for the Ascent...

A lot of things were deemed "food grade" by the FDA, until proven otherwise (usually after the patents expired...)

Might be safe, but if it smells it means it's off-gassing. So you are inhaling these aromatic molecules, whether you can smell it or not in fact.

Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this glitch... the battery indicator goes from 2 bars to a dead battery. I am still satisfied with the battery life of the Fury, but perhaps the battery indicator should be more accurate.

The battery life "bars" declined as I was using it (as expected), it stayed at 2 bars for quite a while, and then the vape gave me a "low battery" message and died immediately. It never got down to 1 bar.

Thanx

How does this hit compared to the mighty/crafty, or on the lower end to the cfx boundless or vivant alternate?

Hits very good for price point, maybe crafty might can get thicker vape. But at 420 this little thing rips. It's way smaller than a crafty an mighty. For 120 I paid can't be beat. I started at 350 an you will get visible vapor. I kept moving up in temps all way up to 430. I prob got 13 to 17 hits
