VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I don't know how anyone who likes VapCaps couldn't like one of these things! It's like pure fucking magic. So cool. I never even realized how much I disliked using the torch until I didn't have to use it anymore!

Just don't do what I did the other day. I was browsing FC and vaping, and I absentmindedly stuck my VapCap in the heater to heat it up... And in my vaped and distracted state, I missed the click and forgot I was still heating... Somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds after the click, I realized what I was doing and that there was smoke pouring out from the tube where my VC was still inserted. :o I quickly yanked it out of there, and fortunately there was no real damage to anything. The smoke was a combination of an extremely burnt load in the VC tip and some charring of the surface of the button/switch inside the heating tube. Thankfully, I didn't damage the heater or anything. The shitty part was that I had just cleaned my VapCap before this happened. :disgust:

Sooo, uh, yeah. Don't do that.

:peace:

Oh man, I'm in trouble for sure. I tend to space out stuff, better stay alert when I get mine.

Communicated with Matt from DV. BTW we talked about the PIH and my excitement. They don't have one but are very interested in trying it. Guess there will come one order at least ;)

Since I've my Sk. I'm using my VCs twice as often - love it so much. A few days ago it didn't work after reloading the bats. Got nearly a little panic attac until I recognized that one bat was down. Was so happy when it worked again!

But @Pipes, what's about an induction heater 510 atomizer for a mod? Would buy one at once. Like the idea of @pattpiggie to separate the power suppy and the heating unit but it's still too much on the go. Saw some experiments in this direction and they are looking promising.
Do you see a way to develope such one yourself and are you interested in?

If so I'd be in - at least with 2 of them. Please put me on your list, Sir!

If there was a 510 thread on this, we could set up our kit in the dark during a power blackout

Actually, George was one of the first ones to get a Jarhead. Odd Matt hasn't gotten to give it a go... I know George loved it and wouldn't be surprised if they are getting something on the table before too log. Only makes good business sense. Of course that's just my opinion.

A 510 unit was actually where I started from, and there is a thread in the DIY section about it. @natural farmer was going to pursue the endeavor if interest and methods developed. Seems interest dropped off some, and efforts have being sitting on the back burner.

The biggest obstacle to overcome is some type of thin insulator between the coil and VC unit. Works without but there are some intermittent shorting happening between the cap and coil. This causes burn marks and not good for the VC as are like little arc spots. This needed material was never settled upon. Ideas like mica have being tossed around but no further experiments performed that I am aware of.

Go to that thread and put a match under @natural farmer 's arse. :p

Just received my PORTSIDE!

Thank you @Pipes, looks awesome, I'm so god damn excited to try this thing out.

Batteries have been loaded and it's charging in the corner as we speak.

Unfortunately I have to wait until this evening to try out.

What a neat little package though, really glad you added the battery meter and cut off switch.

Will report back my experience but for now, thank you so very fucking much for not only creating this device but also for including us in the process. I have nothing but respect, admiration AND NOW THE POWER OF INDUCTION AT MY FINGERTIPS MWAHAHAHAHAAHHA

I have a Jarhead, but what is the difference between a Jarhead and a Jarhead II? Am I behind the times? It's tricky cause the point between heating and combustion is on a knife edge. One half a second too long and smoking. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right. I can feel the click then count five seconds and release the button. Am I doing it wrong? Doc

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/v...top-and-in-car-use.23211/page-24#post-1137480

back on page 24, midway through the the post @ the link above, @Pipes mentions the changes he made, starts with "I've made a couple changes, thus the JHII...."

It's tricky cause the point between heating and combustion is on a knife edge. One half a second too long and smoking.

i have seen this also. generally speaking i can (depending on if i want flavor or clouds) go as much as a 5 count past the click on the first 2-3 heating cycles, but as the tip heat soaks from repeated use, i have to gradually decrease the time i heat after the click or risk combustion. after 12-13 heat cycles, the bowl is almost done, i dont hold heat past the click much at all.

yeah i can get that many heat cycles, 1-2 hits per cycle, when using the JHII. record is 13.. #14 didnt produce any vapor, and ABV was black..

i feel i should note: i also use an M (s/s tip) not the titanium tip, and i have no experience with the titanium tip.

First use impressions:

HELL YEAH!

This thing rocks!

Thanks to everyone's feedback I pushed it two seconds past the click and milked my MFLB Orbiter.

I'm using the Ti G4 Tip on the largest bowl setting, packed full with a torn off bit of bud. I ripped from click to click.

This heater is not just simple, easy and convenient it's consistent too.

For my second bowl I pushed it to three seconds and got a slightly longer rip that hit the spot nicely.

I think every VapCap owner should have one of these heaters.

When I use my Jar head with the Omni I can only count 4 seconds, first heat. It's a little close at the end of the bowl. I like the "M" to use with the Jarhead. I hate hunting for the air port. It's one reason I like the Omni.
When useing the M I place my finger over the air port, and roll it back and forth when hot.
I put Sargent strips , (Marine Corps sticker), on my Jarhead. If I get better using it I will give him a promotion. ;-)

They could do pretty good selling them Bastards!

So I'll be contacting the JH perks in the next few days. Have enough to cover the current list. Any new requests will be for next batch.
I added a little bonus for this round and likely future batches as well.
This JH features Trump's head right were it belongs...:brow: He can't even tweet from in there.

For those that already have a JH and want the Trump pic, you can download Trump's Head here. I sprayed some lacquer on the printout to help from fading as well.

While I have ZERO sympathy for the principles, I can't help but have some for the underlings (aides) who may well have done nothing wrong but now have no choice but to lawyer up. That is sure to cost 6 figures...

Anyway, how long do these guys (Jarheads) take to be delivered in the states? Are we talking a week or just a few days. The $20 stung a bit, but international is what it is and I'm excited to try this out.

Yeah I'm wondering this myself.

@Pipes are they all like that? With Trump on it? If so, is it easily removable?

LOL, yeah, Trump's head may not be the best choice for everyone, but sure felt good stuffing him in. :D
They can be removed as is just a piece of lacquered paper. The modular is in pretty tight going through the top opening, but can be gently pulled out.
There is just enough power cord slack to not have to take the power plug out of the glass

If you guys want to google around for a better picture, go for it and let me know. The "head in a jar" IMO, is quite cool as it gives some 3D illusion to it. Anyone can make one up as it's a face shot and a shot from each side of the head and then photo shopped to blend the 3 pictures together. And make the colour of dead flesh. Add of few pieces of real hair sticking down from the top for added illusion. :brow:
Another idea is to have a picture of just vapor.... Or a picture of nothing but a jar of eyeballs. Dress it up for Halloween. :brow: Or Santa for Christmas. .?
So many possibilities. Keep in mind the glass is distorted with fruit shapes which enhances the effect by not letting people see that clearly.

Shipping to US includes a tracking number and generally takes around 5-7 business days. Have being using the "PP print shipping label" option and works out well. Less back and forth communication as they do the tracking and shipping advising. You have to keep in mind PP takes a cut of all my transactions. They love me these days...

Just be careful they don't figure out what you are actually selling or they will drop you like a rock, as they have with other vendors including DV. I think they are in the process of doing that to RBT as we speak... :ugh:
Thanks, was not aware they were so strict about that stuff. I tend not to use the word "vape" in any descriptions but words like "DIY kit" or "induction heater kit" in descriptions and just the weird names of the device. But good to know and mums the word.

@Andreaerdna, check out some of the pre-made ones.

And this is how I spend my afternoon. Got quite a few rear covers drilled and fitted with the wire harnesses. Just so you guys awaiting the Portsides know I'm not slacking...:D
