*old thread alert*

the expanse tv show (in case you didnt know) is based on a book series, im on book 2 now and really enjoying the action space opera. if you dig the show you will really like the books...if you are into sci fi dramas check it out. im reading while watching and its not ruining anything imho since im into the characters and story, tv show follows the actual story pretty good but how some of the characters handle situations and such are different. its nice to be reading again.
I have no tv so have never heard of the expanse. But I have read Corey's series and really enjoy it. Does the tv show stream anywhere?

The Lost Regiment
The plot revolves around a Union Army regiment and a artillery battery from the American Civil War which gets transported to an alien world.
you learn pretty quickly that the humans on this world are descended from people transported from earth, and that the humans are the food source for the 10 ft tall natives of the planet.

It doesn't look like it's out of print- it's on kindle from Amazon and in paperback. Also I've listened to a couple of them so they are available as audiobooks.

Roger Zelazny's Amber series is the best fantasy sci-fi that I have ever read.
Fell back into soft porn comics from Heavy Metal mag.
Been rereading Druuna on the comicextra
Website.
Also read three Balducci spy novels that were fun but predictable

I never read the Amber books, but I did play the Amber rpg when I was a kid. Open ended with very little roles and very powerful characters is all I really remember. It inspired me to make my own games though, which I still do to this day. :) I had actually forgotten about the series. Thanks! I'll have to look for it.
