Whats better for iq though, 10amp, 20amp, 30amp, idk the difference? I got my case and spacers from davinci, case is a little snug no real space for charger and usb cable, its very tight. Nice case other wise just a tiny bit small.

i didn't try to unscrew it completely.. just a littlebit to make the chamber smaller

@CloneFlavour i also unscrew the pearl when i got it, didn't do it all the way out...i also did it to make the chamber smaller, and it worked for me, after reading your post i realised how closed to that happening to me... and after looking at the pic u must have done a lot of strength or it was a faulty piece, keep us inform of what you did to repair it, you never know....
cheers

A 15 amp battery works best (Sony& Samsung) as far as cases I found a nice one @dimelife.com

Yeah I had the same feeling after it came off. I didn't understand how it was so soft and fragile. You think it would be something hard and sturdy. After the RMA process took a month for a simple fix I never touch the pearl.

I heard some one say they put it under, it helps keep the oven holes cleaner, idk i havent use the spacers yet, they are coming to my house as we speak.

How much shorter are your sessions with the spacers?
I just got my Davinci glass spacers.
I think they work better for me putting the herb in first, then the glass spacer on top.
I really wanted the other way to work, ( glass spacer in first , herb touching pearl) as I figured it would cool vapor more being further away, I did not get much vapor this way. I will mess with it a bit more , maybe I did something wrong.

I have been vapor bonging with my Arizer Air for a couple months and was completely happy with it , I got the adaptor from Davinci and after one day vaporbonging with the IQ , my Arizer Air is on back up vape status.
I highly reccomend vapor bonging with the IQ.
I kept the temp at 365 and was happy with it .
Sooo happy with the IQ

nice, i'm using my air too atm.. i guess it also will become backup after i got my IQ back
Air is a solid back up, I hated having to rely on my Magic Flight as my only back up, I just could not get it right ( user error of course)
Hope your IQ gets back to you soon..

I ordered the sony vtc6, what doe the higher amps do for you exactly, i know the oem davinci iq battery is 10amp, the 2 sonys i ordered are 15amp. Should have i gotten one in 20amp just to have 10, 15, 20?

Good choice, have you noticed a difference between the two? IMO, the Sony VTC6 makes the unit run cooler than the Panasonic NCR provided by Davinci, let me know your opinion.

The higher amp batteries fix the problem of pre mature low battery alerts on the IQ as well. The higher amp battery's handle the power draw better when the units oven is heating up. You'll notice if you use your 10 amp battery, you will have a low battery alert after your second or third 10 minute session. A higher amp battery won't alarm until the third or fourth 10 minute session.

@stickstones thank you for taking the time to do those tests man!

I was really hoping for cooler results from the lesser mah rated batteries. From a subjective viewpoint, the VTC6 didn't feel warmer than the others until about the 25 minute mark. I've got plenty of other batteries here I can test, like the VTC4, some samsungs and LGs, but I don't know when I'll get to it. I bought these two for this test since I didn't already have them.

I also don't know what DaVinci is packing in with the IQ these days...same or different. My IQ is an early model from one of the first runs and has always worked well for me.

What battery do you think can make the IQ run cooler while still providing plenty of smoke sessions?

Anyone making 3d printed cases, like a phone case for the davinci iq, i cant find anyone. Someone could make some seriously good money, there is a guy making them for the grasshopper, he is propbably making a killing.

That would help to make it more comfortable to hold in the hand.

Exactly, and also keep it from scratching. They could make it with vents, slits, or holes with different designs so to let some heat escape. Different colors would be cool too
