I can answer that. If you're doing direct draw with the stock mouthpiece, and without using a whip, the heating chamber is very close to your mouth. The vapor is still relatively hot when it hits your throat. In my house, multiple users reported a sore throat after a direct draw session. After I noticed the same thing on myself, we started attaching a long glass mouthpiece for direct draw usage, and the sore throats disappeared.

For the best experience with the HA in direct draw, I recommend using a whip or a glass mouthpiece that extends the distance between the heater and your mouth, and allows the vapor to cool before hitting your throat.

Not saying the HA isn't good for direct draw, because I use it that way often. But straight out of the box, with the stock mouthpiece, the vapor can be too hot for many people.

This also explains why its possible for a vaporizer to be amazing through water, but not so great in direct draw.

Fair enough, I never noticed, as I always used it direct, through my small bubbler, with or without water. For those who haven't tried auto mode, try hooking up the pump to this glass setup, and getting blasted! :ko::tup:

I love using the whip. When I'm watching something and don't want to fuss with a vape or make torch noise or am playing games it's so nice to just have the whip laying around to use to keep my hands free. I have a little hook set up so I can hang it hands free around head level to be even more lazy.

The whip size, material, and mp have never bothered me like it does with some other people. Though to be honest I wouldn't mind some more mp options to stick on the whip. Not sure what else would fit on those little black connectors.

I didn't think to do this in my last post, but I might as well try asking @herbalaire directly.

@herbalaire do you guys have other mp's or could point me in a direction to look?

Does anyone know what those black connectors are called? Then I could just google them and see what I find. I'll look on amazon and see if I can figure it out. I don't really need a new mp, but there might be some cool stuff out there and I've just never looked.

Hi @StormyPinkness, we only produce those black bag mouthpiece's and little black connectors. We do sell them with our Bag set and with our Cool Aire kits which also come with the whip. I am sure you could find alternatives out there that would fit the little black connector if that's what you are getting at. You can also jam a Teflon extension in the end of the whip and use that as your adapter, since the extension has a longer taper I am sure that it would adapt a little easier.

Hello All

Does anyone know of a USA supplier, who carries the H2.2 Glass Adapter (TonG)? Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

@herbalaire should know if they've sold any adapters to a USA vendor. Hope their account is set so they'll be notified when I post the name and reply. Alternatively, another member may be able to suggest a good substitute.

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
The GonG is made exclusively by/for planetvape.ca and not Herbalaire so I think they are the only place that carries them, and Way back in this thread Hearbalaire suggested that it was best not to use them.

Kind of like many of their arizer stems that piece is unique to Planetvape.

Thanks....Canada Expedited Post takes 8 days and I was trying to avoid the $ and wait, ordering directly from Herbalaire. I live on the East coast. I looked into the Glass mouthpiece from PlanetVape Gong and it was over 80$ total for a 14mm and 18mm with shipping. I cant justify that. The TONG is both and will work fine for me.

I have used Herbalaire since the original 2.1. I moved on to the 2.2 like 3 years ago. Lately I notice the harshness of the vapor from my stock pump. It also has been taking longer, so I assume it is starting to fail. The vapor is getting stale and irritating my lungs. I ordered the High Output Pump directly from Herbalaire and thats when I realized how long the wait will be. Shipped on July 4 and will only be here the 12th. After I ordered pump, I researched using it with a water pipe. I ordered a knockoff bubbler from China via DHL and paid 10$ extra for expedited DHL shipping. It came in 3 days. Crazy!

I thought my standard 2.2 mouthpiece would work with a 18mm bubbler, but it was to big. I then went and got a 18-14mm adaptor and it worked, but there is air leakage. Just want the full experience with the TONG ASAP :)

I found a USA seller with the H3 for 148.99 free shipping, but cant justify buying with my 2.2 working just fine. Link below for anyone USA interested.

Like you said it should actually fit into 18mm, it would be loose though and the mp would tip out easily. If you're getting air leaking through and have a silicone whip you can cut a little off that to put on the mp and get a better seal with the glass.

Edit: I haven't done it in awhile, but I used to hook up my HA to glass with a silver surfer water adapter. The one I got fits the pvc whip really well:
Ended up getting the silver surfer vertical water adapter. The black hose adapter that comes with the HA fits pretty snug into it, but if I cover the other end of the hose I can tell it's not airtight. I didn't see any vapor escaping and it sure doesn't feel like any escaped. I might cut a little off a silicone whip and just put that around where the hose and glass adapter meet, but I'm pretty happy with it as it is. I'm especially happy I can use my crucible again, I was always ocd worried about that. Thanks for the help everyone, once again this forum improves my vaping.

My new H3 Lite arrived yesterday. It's beautiful...so pristine! :luv: Not that my H2.2 is dirty...but it will be 3 years old by the end of this month and has been my only vape since. It might seem silly, but will probably wait awhile before using the newness off this H3. Got a great deal on the unit and accessories with the promo code mentioned above and finally have a back-up that I KNOW I'll enjoy at least as much as the H2.2. Guess I'm a creature of habit.

Totally understandable. I had my h3 for a couple of months while I kept using my old one. I didn't start using it until I was unpacking all of my vapes after a 3 month thc break. Still have it packed away, can't give it away like some of the others.

Almost there...
Using my HA Elite tonight! I almost unboxed my original HA2.1 as well but decided on just the Elite this time.
If i am bored i will throw a whole nug in and just casually vape with the whip. makes me cough quite a bit but the taste and effects are great!
My favorite way to use it is through water with a heat soak!
Super thick and tasty vapor!

I usually use a glass planet vape adapter but it is packed away in a box somewhere....

My technique:
Heat to 200C and let heat soak till the outer shell is warm.
Grind up some bud and add about 0,5g to the crucible.
I then add a basket screen on top of the load with just enough space for it to move around a bit. This is to ensure the load is close to the heater at all times!
Pop the adapter onto the bowl and place on my WT.
Add base unit and allot to heat soak for a while, takes some practice to get your sweet spot!
Mine is around 15 seconds at 200C.
After the heat soak, draw in that delicious full cream milk!

I do this for bags as well but do not use them that much...
When experimenting i did find the HA bags to be far superior in every way to Volcano bags.
More flavor, thicker vapor and off less material.

Some older videos i did of the Elite!
This on is at 200C

This one is at 184C, thinner vapor and better flavor.

EDIT1:
@stickstones
If you have the Elite, try it with your vapor blowing setup!
I am getting some crazy huge hits!!
They will look epic!

EDIT 2:
Since i am using the crucible i am also using all the tools it came with and am finding them awesome to use!!
The PonG is left in my WT and i can remove the crucible with the sleeve tool!
Reload while smoking hot, NO PROBLEM!
I love rediscovering my older vapes!!

Nice @lazylathe ! That milk...yummy with this vape for sure!

I hooked this up to a rig using the pump a couple of times, but the vibrations from the pump were too strong and the glass rattled against my teeth during the hits! I might do that again with funkyjunky’s long whip to keep that from happening.

I’m rearranging the office with some display space and I pulled this one out for a spot. Hopefully makes it easier to use more regularly!

Epic post man! You are the first user to truly understand espresso mode with small amounts. We have found that taking a small amount 0.3/gram and placing it directly into the chamber without the crucible. Then using the mouthpiece crucible assembly to squish it against the jets and hold it in place provides espresso vaporization without using large amounts, it appears you are doing something similar with this setup. By using the herbalAire in this way it is possible to draw thick potent vapor (usually 2 - 3 Bags) with a very small amount once again showing how efficient our system is. Keep up the good work, love seeing those videos!!
