Good morning everyone, hope all is going well for you all. I thought we were through the rain but then got a tropical storm dumping a bunch of water on us again. I am so sick of the rain I mean just ughhhhh not happy about it. So I dvr a bunch of shows for the boys and I to watch when I have em, we are so happy to see Americas Got Talent on again. Its still audition time so ya see all kinds of folks doing this or that. The other night I saw a 13 year old girl that has a voice like very few, wow what an amazing sound coming out of her. Before she hit the stage they did a short who she is kinda thing. Her dad has stage 4 terminal stomach cancer and when he was down she would sing to him, I can only imagine how her voice lifted his spirits and to see him standing side stage watching his little girl omgosh how proud I would have been. Also saw a young woman, I wanna say I remember there was a plane crash with many young students only 2 survived. One was badly burned, her name is Katchi I am sure I misspelled it, she said that when she was laying there in the hospital healing all she had was music. She was a young singer before but grew so much stronger in her voice and ability during that time. She hit the stage and nailed it, omgosh I was such a tough guy years ago now I am just a big ole sap, listening to her story and seeing her performance I choked up sitting with the boys in awe. Gosh we just looked at each other and were like wow! Its so fun watching stuff like that with my boys and enjoying time with them. So I got in a little bit of an accident yesterday, my hand slipped and my knuckle got sliced, when it was all over with I got 7 stitches in the middle one

vlVuVZ7.jpg

My Dr. did the sewing, he did a great job just hurts a bit more than I thought it would the day after. Told him he had to leave my thumb and index finger free, got turning to do. I still had errands to run after leaving the clinic and groceries to buy before doing the weekend with the boys. I was thinking shrimp skewers earlier in the day but after my mishap was thinking what could we do with little work, hmmm of and wouldnt ya know there was a slab of ribs rubbed down in the package and ready to go rrrrr. I got all that done and headed home, boys were already there and they really stepped up and did everything, grabbed the groceries and my 14 year old did all the cooking every bit.

That boy is going to make some woman a proud wife, he is so going to know his way around the kitchen. I love watching him do what he does in there, am a proud dad of 3 amazing sons!

So needless to say after all the excitement of ending the week yesterday I am going to take the weekend easy, I may turn a little I may not, I had intended on doing so but not feeling it. There is supposed to be a break in the rain today and I know all those blackberries have to be plump and ripe, ready for picking. Gotta take my oldest to work this morning and grab some OFF to prevent the red bugs and skeeters from getting a few bites in while me and the other two pick as many as possible rrrrrrrrr its so almost cobbler time. I am excited to get back to work in the shop, have some neat stuff coming this way. Got a WS I have to do that is like no other, its a special piece for my guys wife for her bday, its gotta be perfect. I have quite the work to put into it, a pop here a pop there this unit will surely be the most beautiful I have done yet, as am sure he and she will and you all as well, get ready to flip out!

@Alexis Wow what a nice dream you had, I can surely see it being a reality in your future and your experience being all that and so much more! @CarolKing does so much for the the WS and myself, she does a great job spreading the word for it and so many other useful pieces to members here that appreciate her insight and advise. Pls do let me know when you are ready and I will do my best to get you fixed up!

@flotntoke Thanks much my man for stopping by and the wishes, I appreciate you! Yes sir life is good my way, its not to exciting and ambitious but its my pace and one I am thankful to live.

@CarolKing Thank you as well for the fathers day wishes and kind words, its easy being a dad to the best kids out there, they do it all, I just get to shine here and there! I think we mentioned this once before but hey if it works for you it works for me. Your stem has the tip in the wrong end but will work this way, rock on. Great shot btw, very cool! I so dig the Thuya and yours was the first sold, I am so happy to see and hear you use it as much as you do, thanks for all you do!

@Stonocrates Ahhhh, you so gotta get you a stem like that one bro, I assure you @phattpiggie will fix you up. I will say that if you havent hit him up yet its going to be a while, I know he is slammed.

@GreenHopper Glad you saw it also and thanks for stopping by bro, hope all is well!

@TRDreviews My man thanks for the video, you were right yesterday at IG thanks for posting up there and here as well, you are the man!

Good morning all, hope everyone is doing great! I have been doing some testing and have put together a temp range for you, I will be offering a rotary control standard with the VB so the user will be able to dial it down. I must say out of the box its hot hot, so this is what I have come up with so far

through a VK -
9V - 325
9.5V - 344
10V - 350
11V - 411
12V - 465

through the rotary control -
Wide Open - 460
1/2 way - 288

Still getting awesome positive feedback from testers, couldnt be happier! Still sourcing parts is an issue, I should have started a couple months ago getting parts, didnt know what all I would need, going to order at least 100 of everything Monday! Just a quick stop by for the moment, I hope you all like what you see and look forward to you alls thought!

Are these VK stats still pretty accurate? Didn't know if there has been any changes to the WS since posting this up.

Hope your finger heals quickly and isn't hurting too badly soon. The pain on that sort of thing is always nasty, but it's the throbbing that drives me nuts. Hope you're not having any of that mess.

Thanks for the family update! Those ribs had my mouth watering. Glad the boys are doing well and you're getting to enjoy so much time with them. I'd bet they're all pretty good cooks if they want to be. Looks like they're learning from one of the best!

I have some Pink Cookies in my WS. It's also called Wedding Cake in other areas. It's a combination of Cherry Pie and Girl Scout Cookies. I had been hearing others tell me about it. It's an awesome strain but save this one for evening.

This unit really heats up quickly. Less than 5 min. I have the temp at 7.5 on the dial. I'm using the wooden stem that came with the Thuya Burl with the ti tip attached. Wishing everyone a great evening with friends and family.

Love summer as long as it doesnt get too hot.
I taste that sweet vapor taste from the Pink Cookies.

Good morning everyone, the hand is healing up really well and have been able to get some turning done. I buddy it to the next finger to the right for most part of the day so by the evening its rather sore from not moving but other than that the cut looks pretty good overall and can see it has closed up nicely. My dr wants to give it longer with the stitches in due to where its at and how it would pull when gripping and normal activity. Its been dry for a few days lately for once, has been nice not getting my feet wet when wearing flip flops walking out to the shop, not too many jobs where the footwear is so flexible woot woot! Seems the rain chances are moving back in though. Last few days I have been doing extensive I mean thorough temp testing on the WS at every possible point and angle in and out of the unit only to find the results are even better than I thought they would be. I will have a full write up soon enough explaining it and ensuring that the WS is a safe and solid log! I finished the live edge Cedar WS

This is a beautiful set, and having it come from the worlds highest hill, how neat is that!

Got the boys coming back this afternoon for a couple days, am excited to see them, just missing em this week more so, guess I am needing those smiles and my baby boy tucked up next to me. Wont be long he will be to big and not wanna sit next to his old man, hope its longer rather than shorter. Sucks though as they will be back at their moms Saturday evening, this is my short weekend of the month. Next weekend I will have em for 3 nights/4days, I like the extra long ones. I will get em back for a 4th church cookout sunday at my pastors place, he has a big lake for the boys to fish while we are there. For the 4th I will be doing it all alone, my girl will be in Oklahoma boys with their mom so is going to be just me and the dogs. I am going to get a couple big thick ribeyes and just have a good time if I gotta do it all by myself.

@Square4Life Good morning, yes sir I would say that the readings posted should be the same now as they were then. Very good hands with the boys, they are going to be the best men.

@turk Thank you sir, you know you are right!

@SSVUN~YAH Omgosh bro yes I saw them how cool was that, thats what we will be doing tonight. Going to run by Pizzahut grab one and some wings and then its on for AGT.

@CarolKing Hows it working since the swap of ends? I am going to be fine, thanks! Ugghhh I am so jealous of you with all your great strains and such, sounds like bliss!

@flotntoke Thank you my man, my middle son is the cook for now, my oldest isnt really into it and my youngest is still coming along for sure. My 14 year old knows his way round a kitchen, thats so stinking cool, I wish my parents would have let me do stuff like that or would have been around to show me. I am blessed for sure to have the opportunities I do with the boys.

@GreenHopper Thank you and I hope all is well over your way.

@little maggie You bet he did, he really enjoys doing it to. He has such a beautiful smile too, its fun spending that time with him and when he learns something new he grins, does my heart so good to see that. He is my ambitious one, I can really see him being a big shot heavy hitter one day.

@oneizm Woot woot, good job bro and thanks for doing what you do. I am glad you are enjoying it and hope you do for a long time to come!

@whatitdew hmmmm I tell ya what, you got me to thinking and I have just done ya up a 10% off all WS packages. Coupon code is Freedom4th its only good for WS packages and will expire the end of the 4th so get your order in and tell all you peeps to make it happen!

I wish you all the best and hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

@Ed's TnT that live edge cedar WS is, IMO, the most beautiful log I've seen. My Grandpa used to love working with cedar back in the day so it always has a special place in my heart. The contrast of the milky white wood to the red centre and live edges is fantastic! I also really like how thin/sharp the edge at the very top looks; makes me want to run my finger along it like those wine glasses that ring with harmonics. I bet it smells so good you don't even need to use essential oils for aromatherapy; practically a natural air freshener.

Good morning,

@Prolusio Thanks much my man, I have always liked cedar as well. Its a relatively easy wood to get down here way easier than Walnut or Maple if you were to go to a lumber store. Glad you like it and hope all is well bro!

@turk Thank you, I did it for $325, its gone bro. I have some more from that log and will work em up in the future, I did that one to learn and go from there.

@Aezhenn Thank you much my man, I am glad you like what you see!

@whatitdew My bad bro, seems I offer way more WS than I thought at that time. All is good now and pls do let me know if I can do anything else for you.

All great stuff, Ed! You always have the best attitude about everything. Sorry to hear you'll be on your own for the 4th. I'd be there to do some fireworks with you if I were about 1,000 miles closer, but sounds like you've already got a solid plan. I've got a feeling those dogs will be eating better than me with ribeye scraps, while I'm at a big shindig with standard burgers and hopefully enough chicken on to get a piece or 2. Glad to hear the hand is healing up well and you'll get a chance to hang out with the boys this weekend, too.

Love the look of the live edge cedar!! Great work!! You really nailed the layout perfectly with the rings.

Just wanted to post a quick pic showing a standard size condenser in the wooden wpa. I had seen someone post up with the condenser sticking out the mouth end and others saying you need an Omni...this has been working great for me, if you wanted condensers, that is. If I could somehow actually get a picture of what the inside looks like with all the buildup...it makes me happy knowing it not on my wooden stems lol

Nice work @Square4Life . I tried using mine with the condenser pushed all the way in but I found it an issue when it comes time to clean as you can smear reclaim when separating the condenser & tip. Now I set it much like a VapCap with the condenser just touching the end of the tip. Whatever works though & what is important is protecting that beautiful wood :).

Trust me @flotntoke you will love a WS. You really need one in your life. Straight up bro it is all I use these days.

Ah, I see what ya mean. I'll keep an eye on that. Appreciate the heads up. I was originally going to just cut the tube down but since this worked, I didn't want to change it.

Yeah the WS has been a vape killer for me....it K.O.'d my enano, fw4, and gh. And i loved using my fw4. I tried using the fw4 but if I am inside...I want that quick powerful extraction. The GH provides that but also has a harshness AND taste wise, the GH is my least favorite.

The only issue is that I only have one WS and I have to carry it around to the different areas of the house. So I feel the only appropriate response would be to get another WS...lol

Using it on a higher temp (11 to 12v) through water can be so much fun too. Always chasing that next big rip which the WS does so well.

Oh.... I've got one and am loving it! Picked up a beautiful Thuya Burl about a month or so ago. It is so damned beautiful!!! Posted some pics a few pages back. Been using it regularly, but still have my nano plugged in sitting next to it. Only one small complaint about it. The wood scent that it carries. Not too much, and think it is dwindling slowly. Must admit it is a lovely flavor paired with any strain I've run through it. But, sometimes prefer no flavor impartment like I get with nano. This is even more so from the small wooden GonG piece - not so much with the longer stem.

I'm hoping it mellows just a little, and seems it has over past couple weeks. Just leave it on and in a safe place. And, can use a VC condensor or whole VC for stem and to knock back Thuya flavor - having it come only from WS itself.

Not really a complaint, and like I say I do like it often. I figure this is the way it is supposed to be - hence the name WoodScents! The subtle flavor from just the WS and none from stem (using condenser) is very nice - either straight from stem or through a bubb.

SHIT! Guess I should finally add it to my sig below! Doh!

SHIT! Guess I should finally add it to my sig below! Doh!
 I was half way through your post when I looked down at your signature to see if the woodscents was there! And I had your exact same thought, so it must be about time!

Guys and girls- after my wonderful experience of using the Woodscents in my dream recently, I believe I am all set to order one tomorrow! In a sponatenous turn of events.
I have decided my Herborizer Ti is not suitabke for my allergies and sensitive lungs, and I have already got a friend coming to buy it wednesday.
I see the 10% discoint until tomorrow so I think I have to go for it!

All very impulsive, just going with my heart more than my head right now, but I really should use my head a bit and see if I can come up with any important Q's for this joyously friendly thread later on.
I cant say deep down I am 100% in favor of the Woodscents over Enano. Partly due to the Enano's larger bowl capacity.
I do like to be able to hit the vape hard through a water tool. The Herborizer Ti does this but is not gentle/allergy friendly enough for me.

I like my Omnivap. If I could vape the ful bowl in 1 or 2 hits max with the Omnivap, without charring or risking too high temp vapor, consistently, I would like it a lot better.

So Im hoping the woodscents might give me the ability to do this while regulating the vapor and keeping it smooth and not overly irritating.

I also will use it differently, more hits per load, more gently etc.
I need a more gentle vape, but also like to hit big hits and extract the load quickly.

"I'll be back!":borg:

Yeah the ole WS can be a real vape killer as it just works so damm well @Square4Life . I tend to run mine at 12.1-12.2v to get what I want out of it. I was going to cut my condensers down but they work as it is & have no reason to trim it down. A 2nd WS is a well reasoned & thought out idea, one you can justify rather easily as it is about "rationalising & consolidating" your vape gear.....

SHIT! Guess I should finally add it to my sig below! Doh!

You should. Saves making me look a cunt . Mine seems to have settled down flavour wise but the WS is a weapon of a vape. I thought you had one but when I checked your sig........ either way you are on the winning team bro.

It will. Trust us, we are not doctors here but we are vape professionals.
