Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

Actually, me too pretty much. After having tried vaping once in the 90s on a DIY model (using coal as heat source), I started vaping only 9 months ago using an electronic device (the storm). Stumbled across the vaponic in search for a cheap vape to hook up my brother with vaping. After trying it out, I was so impressed that I bought one for myself as well and upgraded to the vaponic+ for the added convenience and robusticity.

@Schroedinger - read u have the omnivap, how would u compare it to the vaponic? esp the draw resistance, somehow i think it's pretty pricy for some metal tubes with still a lot of room for improvement in fluid dynamic design to say it gentle...
Experienced just yesterday the same problem with vaponic and vapcap at outside use in windy condition heating ain't that easy with that concept - vapman works here perfect, imo the best outdoor vape, stealthy bc the flame is view and wind shielded and with only 2,2g of copper to heat it even works in deepest winter :)

The main advantage of the omnivap is the unbreakability (but I think it is overpriced). I like the adjustable bowlsize and its size. I only use it for quick hits where effects are more important than taste.
Yes the windy conditions are an issue for both - more so with the vaponic because your estimates can be entirely off. I have, however, used the vaponic successfully in cold (around freezing) and rainy weather but not too windy conditions. With the vapcap it is somewhat better, as you have the click - just make sure to heat the end evenly or the bottom will be scorched and the top still green due to the temp gradient. But I managed both on windy beaches, however, it was not the most relaxing procedure ;)

I actually have considered getting a vapman, though, but could not justify it (yet) - my exposure to windy situations is rather scarce.

yeah, somehow it's about vape signature ;) - vaponic is top notch of the convection taste, and vapman beats every battery conduction vape i've tried. it's just more a sedative punch signature in comparison. the vapcaps are somewhere in the middle between both
but as far as cold temps i'm talking -20C while taking landscape pics at moonlight...

i have the basic, the mica makes no difference in performance it's more a scorch protection

Thanks, let's see how long I can resist the urge ;)

I forgot to address your raised question on draw resistance: vaponic wins, as it seems to be perfectly balanced. The difference between the Omnivap and the Ti Woody you have is pretty much non-existent, and you can achieve the same playing with the carb. The only advantage of the omnivap is to do a presetting on the amount of air, which makes things easier with people unfamiliar with the vapcap (e.g. for sharing in groups).

Volute of Vapor
Got the idea to try my Vaponic using the Pipes induction heater but I must to replace the glass outer tube with one made of metal.... any idea where to find one ,please?

Supersniffer 2000 - robot fart detection device
maybe a piece of copper tubing with one end folded to a bottom? - would make the heat up quicker
I was thinking a SS tube, but copper is also a nice suggestion, but in both cases finding the right ID tube might be pain in the ass. Easiest thing that comes to mind is just to wrap some very thin steel/copper wire around it.I would also try with those two below ,there are not hard to find locally (at least here)or you can order from China alternatively.
99.9% Pure Copper Metal Sheet Foil Plate 0.1mm or
Stainless Steel Fine Plate Sheet Foil 0.1m

@PPN how does it look like, your heater and where did you get it?
It's the JarheadII by @Pipes , there is a thread about it under the DIY section.

Just noticed the Vaponic outer tube is too large for the Pipes induction heater, BUT the Ilite (a ort of Vaponic clone, at least how I use it!) outer tube fits ... although with the added wire I think not except if I can place a thin wrap of metal in the internal side of the Ilite outer tube (not easy I think).

So the best rest to replace the glass outer tube with a metallic and magnetizable one at the right size. Is copper doesn't carry any toxicity?

Is copper doesn't carry any toxicity?
can't say much about that besides i'm still using a copper pan and tea kettle at my mountain hut
- afaik only vape that uses copper is vapman but it's gold plated, so maybe ask vapman in the vapman thread for more insight
but heat conduction is far superior vs ss

@PPN did you get it to work?

I am currently loving having microdoses (0.01-0.03g) in the vaponic+ hooked up to a bong (with the silicone part of the xmax glass mouth piece - see my photos in an earlier post) and heating the outer glass separately (the wood encasing of the plus adds convenience when handling the heated outer tube) with a big torch. If only the part away from the tip and below the screen is heated, this gives super nice and almost pure convection hits. It is pretty convenient: put a tiny nug in the bowl, heatup the outer tube with a big torch for 5-10 secs then put it on top and inhale.
I am currently experimenting to find the optimal region to heat up.

Space is the Place
I've been using my Vaponic + for a few weeks now and have got to say that I like this little vape a lot.

It's so tasty and I found it quite easy to use with great results. I really like the wooden covering on the +, it makes it so much easier to heat it and pass it to someone else or to just sit alone and do a load or two whereas using it "naked" means paying a lot of attention to how you hold it or pass it to another user if no-ones going to burn their fingers.

And this vape seems super frugal with the amount of herb needed to get me where I wanna be.

I've been sort of following the pattern I use with the vapman as to how I heat it but extending the timing by doubling it, on the first heat up I've been doing around 8 seconds of heat then a second or two not heating followed by a second 8 seconds heat (the heat/pause/heat thing might not be needed but it's habit) and get a big hit of amazing flavor with just a little visible vapor then I hit it for 8-10 seconds for each heat cycle after that all still with that great taste along with more visible vapor. I'm getting 3 heat good cycles with 3-5 hits each cycle from each load.

I can't believe how smooth and cool the vapor is from the vaponic, I can't feel the vapor when I inhale and just get that amazing flavor hit after hit. I've shared it a couple times and both people thought the Vaponic was one of my best tasting vapes and one of 'em is placing an order for one of their own (they also jumped on the Vapman a couple of years ago after we used it).

I can see the Vaponic + getting a whole lot of use in the future so I'm very very happy that I revisited this vape and happy I went with the plus since I think it's much easier for me to deal with while using than just the Naked glass. I may still be in the honeymoon period but this and the vapman are now my favorite torch powered vapes... hands down.

Peace all 'n' Enjoy.

@RUDE BOY Nice review and thoughts. I am also amazed how a simple wood encasing seems to transform the vape entirely, making it so much more comfortable. One of my favorite perks is to vape the reclaim (every couple of days) after letting it run into the bowl by carefully heating the inner tube. How is the vapman in comparison tastewise?

@RUDE BOY nice review. You and other members convinced me to buy something...

It took a while, but after owning the Vaponic for a couple of months I made finally the decision to upgrade to the Vaponic+! It will probably/hopefully arrive tomorrow.

It will be the last addition to the 'vape arsenal' (this year..). At the moment I own the Vapcap OG and M, MFLB and the Vaponic. As previously stated by me and others, the Vapcap is perfect for a quick fix and group sessions, and the Vaponic for solitary armchair sessions. I had trouble using the butane vapes outdoors, so I bought the MFLB for only €72 euros. As someone in the MFLB thread phrased it: it gets the job done.

Back to the Vaponic. In terms of vapor quality it's my favourite vaporizer, but it's very fragile. Had too many moments I almost dropped it or knocked it over. The plus version resolves, hopefully, the fragility problem.
