So, I've had this guy for about a month now. And I really wanted to love it. I love my Flowermate Pro and was hoping for a similar performer.
Unfortunately, it just isn't that great. I can barely get a decent hit from this guy. Plus the battery gauge just doesn't work properly. It takes forever for it to charge up (meaning the battery icon shows full and stops blinking). Once I unplug, the icon immediately goes down to 2 bars. I can't really tell how the true battery life is because I always stick it in the charger to be safe. Which means I would never trust it for an out-of-the-house session.
When I take a hit from it, the taste is never very good. And I rarely can get more than a wisp of a cloud.
I don't mind the feel or look of the Swift in my hand. Although I wish the wide part was on the opposite side of stem. Would be more comfortable. And while the piece feels sturdy when closed, I don't like the loose underside to the mouthpiece. Lots of gook gets caught when it rattles which means you have to clean it more often.
I hate being so negative because I really want to like it, which is why I waited so long before discussing. But at the end of the day (possibly this day) this guy is getting packed away for emergency backup use only.

Something's definitely not right. I (beta)tested and owned nearly all FlowerMate's produced to date and this is one of the bests clearly.
I think you need to completely rethink your technique, especially since you have many conduction vaporizers. You need massive air flow to extract with this one. With the Ascent or the FM5-Pro, the slower you draw the better. Here it's the complete opposite: you need to draw as strong and as long as you can and you should get massive clouds. Do direct-to-lung draws, not with your cheeks or mouth.
Also there shouldn't be anything loose in your mouthpiece. Mine rattled when I received it (the metal ring holding the screen that is) but that was because it was not fully screwed. Now it's solid and both the ring and the screen don't move at all.
I hope you'll get better results this way and give this great vape a second chance!

@Jill NYC I would like to explain how I use the Arizer bucket screen (my mod idea)
Leave the bottom screen where it is. put an eq basket into the bowl area resting on the bottom screen.
install the retaining ring to hold the eq basket in place. Put the included funnel on around the retaining ring to keep herbs from going into the threads
Then fill your herbs (not tight so no stirring).
Next, once herbs are in basket screen loosen the retaining ring and remove it. Be careful not to have herbs spilling out.
In my opinion this is the most important part: Take a second screen (same size as bottom screens) install it in the retaining ring. Then tighten the retaining ring reassemble and vape.
This keeps the screen of the mouthpiece unclogged and makes cleaning the CFV (or SwiftPro) easy as can be.
Also, there is a separate thread for the Boundless CFV which is the exact same vape packaged a bit differently.

battery life isn't great, but luckily my meter has always been accurate...the taste is great as well.
@sickmanfraud I do your mod as well, but I flip the bucket screen upside down, so there is no need to put another screen on the top.
I also put a shred of hemp fiber inside the metal screen.
@Jill NYC to add to the probe, are you using the same flowers? I have some beautiful flowers right now that don't do shit in my vapes.
max temp it and draw on it like your life depends on it...if it doesn't work, your unit may be defective (especially with the smorgasbord of issues you May be having)

@KeroZen I was able to tighten up the mouthpiece as you suggested. I am a little embarrassed I didn't figure that one out on my own! Will see if that helps.
I definitely feel the difference in the draw compared to the FM Pro. The Swift has no resistance at all, which you are right, is different than my other vapes. So I will try out some different techniques.
@sickmanfraud I have been using the funnel to add my herbs. I am a little OCD, so love that they included it so I don't have to use a toothpick to pry out rogue herb.
However, I am a little confused by what you are suggesting. What is an eq basket? By chance do you have a pic of what you do to modify? No worries if you don't, I seem to have a blind spot with this guy and just can't quite visualize how to get it going.

Any chance you have a bubbler you can put this thing on? I can't explain it, but it excels with water pipes!
I almost always use mine on 446 because I consider myself a little bit of a cloud chaser. I've found this vape needs to be on 446 for me to get those results. I did a temp test once, and the temp in the bowl dropped quickly after each hit, and it took a good 5 to 10 seconds draw to get the bowl up to 446, so I'm really only hitting 446 for the back end of my hit. But on a bubbler it does much better. Something about the back pressure or suction or something seems to make it better. All I can tell you is it was designed but a bunch of guys who love hitting bongs to be what they wanted to get out of a convection vape on a bong, and it does that really well!

Wow, mine has had no mods, I use it in a very standard way, and it definitely fully extracts and produces really nice visible clouds.
Perhaps a malfunctioning unit?

@stickstones I broke my two bubblers in back-to-back cleaning mishaps. I do have a MF UFO but the thing stinks up the place, so I don't use it often. But next time I pull it out I will give it a shot.
So the tightening of mouthpiece helped a little. Plus I switched to the quartz ring. When I pull "like my life depends on it" it does give me better clouds. Nothing impressive, but better than before.
All of your suggestions helped a little but unfortunately not enough to make this a daily or even weekly driver.
I think this one is probably defective, based on all of your positive experiences. I am a bit lazy about retuning, but I may talk to folks at PIU, since they are always so accommodating.

Thanks! Picked up one of these at this price. So far, so good. Draw and clouds are way better than with my 5.0S Pro. So far, the only thing I don't like is that it gets a little hot after 3-4 minutes and the battery life is not near as good as the 5.0S Pro. It also feels a little cheap and flimsy compared to the 5.0S which is built like a tank. But the performance of the swift pro is stellar!

Would emphasize that this 100% convection unit DEMANDS very robust lungs for inhaling (enthusiastically) say 8 -10 seconds. As well, I believe it PREFERS temps in the low 400's to 420's (appropriately)!
When I use it with a small "pocket bubbler" (now there's an interesting euphnism, for ya!) I see very little vapor but I can still feel a certain vapor density which in turns hits pretty hard about 15 minutes later.

2 questions before I pull the string, for $99 hard not to buy. is the vapor nice and smooth at temps 380-400 degrees? have a sensitive throat and conduction vapes are too harsh for me. and has anyone tried the glass mouthpiece for this vape instead of the stock one? thanks dudes.

We all view our experiences differently so I'm not saying that @Fat Freddy is wrong, its just that I have a different view of this vape.
I think its a completely marvelous and if you got in on the $99 deal, you got a steal.
I run mine all day long at 385 and just boost a bit to 410 for that last draw. I don't find the need to operate at 410-420 in order to get good vapor nor do I think it requires particularly long draws in comparison to other vapes.
Now, we should all keep in mind that all bud is not made equal, some chemotypes I have had recently required significantly more heat to release their cannibinoids than other chemotypes. That and moisture content, grind, etc, etc, etc all impact function. So, I'm sure Freddy is right that he needs long draws at high temp, but that's not been my experience with this vape, so far.

Vapor is not too harsh but the vapor path is relatively short. I use the glass mouthpiece and it doesn't cool that much more than the stock one (but I prefer glass for my very own peace of mind)
Glass does get very warm to the lips at the end of the session when chain hitting though, the plastic MP too but a bit less.

Ok I'm not sure what's going on with my Swift but I am not impressed with it after the first use. I'm hoping it's user error.
I was very impressed by the accessories that come with it. Most of it feels very well made but the mouth piece could have a tighter fit. It seems a little loose and I'm concerned that over time, it will become even worse. I ordered the glass mouthpiece too and it fits ok but still seems a bit loose.
The unit definitely had a plastic smell to it. I was hoping that by spending more money on a "better" vape that I would not have that problem. I did a few burn offs and it got a little better. The plastic mouthpiece definitely has a strong taste and odor to it though. I'm very glad I got the glass mouthpiece with it.
The worst thing of all though is that I could not get it to produce decent vapor at all. I had to inhale like my life depended on it in order to get anything. It was not an enjoyable experience and even still the vapor wasn't very much.
I want to like this unit. I really do. It's the most expensive vape I have bought to date so I'm hoping someone can offer a tip or a trick to correct this issue. My old Titan 2 did a better job at producing vapor, had the same taste and smell when new and did not have any draw restriction.

It's a convection vape, you need a lot of air movement to produce vapor. Set it also to a higher temperature than what you start with your conduction vapes.
I start at 190°C and I do direct-to-lung inhalations. Try to inhale as long and as strong as you can and you should get ample clouds. There is some draw restriction indeed but you'll get used to it hopefully.
