The Lotus Vaporizer

I'll be buying a couple. Looks really comfortable to use & a good lighter makes all the difference with the Lotus.
I've been loving the Zico & haven't had an issue with it yet. The igniter does take a little force but I like that it's consistent. Hey thanks for the feedback @cybrguy

Yeah, I'm liking it. The little bit of leatherette feels grippy and the torch doesn't get as hot as some of the others I have. Easy button press. The flame cranks up well. Don't know how long the tank will last but is isn't emptying unreasonably fast, especially given flame size.

I tend to buy cheaper torches around $5, but this one is worth the extra buckolas, at least so far.

My favourite vaporizer threads are always so quiet that I feel like I'm interrupting the peace if I make a post.

Anyway my new torch lighters arrived already that was quick, probably shoulda ordered the dropdowns first.

It's a pretty ergonomic design in the way that it's comfortable to use with the Lotus & easy to ignite.
There are a few different ways you can hold it & they all feel natural.

Also no more holding the button down for extended use, I love the that you can just lock that flame on & let go of the igniter. That's great if you suffer from arthritis or muscle issues, or if you just can't be bothered holding that button down.

I can't comment on reliability yet but it's ticked all the boxes for me & I didn't even have any boxes to tick.

I have a few lighters with locks, but out of an abundance of caution I tend not to use them if the torch has a good button (as this one does). I think it may be due to that time that I lazily dropped one locked on which nearly burned down my vape station. Fire and I don't always get along well... :worms:

I am in favor of the new Jobon lighter. It is perfect for the Lotus. Very comfortable to use and a nice direct flame, very controllable. I highly recommend, best torch I have used, especially for the Lotus!

Have a great weekend everyone!:)

I've been in need of a good torch for awhile since the cheap-o one I got at a local smoke shop is shit and my bernzomatic hand torch is kinda overkill. I was expecting a long and tedious search for a quality lighter, but, lo and behold, the proprietors of this fine product have done the leg work for me. Can't wait to see how well it pairs with the lotus.

I hope you like it. I find that it's a perfect match for the Lotus.

Just tried my new Lotus for the first time!

i got an amazingly great flavor in my first 3 hits but no visible cloud, 4th hit i was abit more aggressive with the torch and got an insanely long thick cloud but hardly any flavor, 5th somewhere inbetween the two.. amazing vape because i can already feel the effects and its still green inside!

Any tips on how to get visible cloud with the amazing taste at once.. also after the first heat up of four seconds in the middle, am i supposed to do a 4 second heat up before every rip or is it just for the first rip?

I only do the pre-heat thing on the initial draw. You should be able to get large clouds from the get-go. This takes some practice and technique with the torch. The best way is to use the Lotus through water or a j-hook stem where you can see the vapor develop. That way it becomes sort of intuitive as you see the vapor develop and get thicker until you will know you need to back off the heat or speed up your draw.

It just takes some practice, but the water pipe definitely helped me. I have a small bubbler that I used to use with it and that worked great. Now, I actually use it with a j-hook and an ashcatcher 90% of the time. That works even better imo, at least for me.

Digging the new Jobon torch! This thing looks and feels exquisite, especially for $12! The flame is comparable to what I get with my Bernzomatic micro torch, but in a smaller, more micro form. It doesn't take a lot of effort to press the trigger, and the flame lock is super easy to set.

My one concern, considering the price tag, is that it's gonna crap out at some point in the not too future. So far, though, there's nothing about it to indicate that it will.

I agree with you. It is the best torch I have used. I probably have 5-6 other torches laying around and I have had problems with most of them. I think I will go back and get a few more. Cant beat this one for the price.

Is my Lotus plate okay? Had it less then two weeks and it has a line/dent kinda thing on it, was working fine yesterday but something that keeps happening is, i fill it a little less then half way, once i get to my 5th round of cloud chasing on it during a session, i get NO vapor, which must mean ive used up what the herb had to offer but none of my other vapes really do this? May need to fill more, but is my heat plate okay?

I haven't seen a straight line bend like that before and it will get change shape with age but if it functions fine then you're OK. There's also a 1 year warrantee on the hot plate if needed.
I would go by herb color instead of cloud size, dark brown and it's done.

Guys, any advice, the first hit i get pure flavor barely any clouds, second cloud and flavor, third clouds and vapor, forth nothing, fifth nothing, its like after three hits i get no more vape every time?

Well first hit needs a long heat up...7-10 seconds with the tip of the inner flame, properly adjusted to the right length. Begin drawing at 7 sec and go slow till you start getting flavor. Then pull the flame back some and increase draw rate to avoid combustion but maintain some heat until you feel you've got a good hit.

As for your 5 hit problem, that's pretty normal IME, especially packed half full. This thing vapes really well and thus there's a smaller hit/load ratio. You can try to hold the flame a bit longer on your later hits to get a more complete extraction, but you'll have to be very careful not to combust. I personally just save whatever negligible material may be left in there for my ABV jar, which I use for edibles.

EDIT: Oh, and make sure you're stirring between hits.

The straight line looks unusual but the plate does always change with use.
There's a one year warranty on the plate from breakage, which is usually cracking, when it happens.
I think you should decide how done the herb is by its color, not the cloud size.

Ive just tried again, the first two hits after a 5 second heat up is giving me light clouds and tastyness, the third hit im getting no vapor! 2 small thin hits and no more vapor, im trying to get vapor and heating it so much im starting to taste metal, i dont know what im doing wrong

Edit:Come to thinm of it, i got the same metal taste yesterday when the same vapor production problem occured, the taste lingers in the mouth for a while
