AirVape Vaporizer

That's what I thought. I was actually looking at the VaporGenie Volta (which ticks many of the boxes for me), but the problem I originally had with the MFLB was the batteries and the pain of waiting for them to charge, and this would have the same issue again. I was hoping to get a vape I could hit while it was charging.

The Vape Critic helped design the AirVape XS and just posted this review on YouTube today. He goes over what makes it a great little vape and how to use it. For anyone unfamiliar with this vape he answers a lot of your questions.

This video needs to be in this thread so here ya go. :)

OMG, this is so funny. I sent a message to them on their website to let them know that my vape is not vibrating (it never did). I just found the reply in my spam and they tell me to take the mouthpiece off and give it a solid thump on the top by hitting a table.

I was just going to send it back because that sounds a bit crazy. But I did it and it worked, thing buzzes really loud now!

So far I am really enjoying this vape, the clouds at 390 degrees are very big, hits hard!

As far as value goes, I this for $89 US it was a great deal. Obviously the quality is not as high as something like my FireFly but seeing as that one was 3 times the price I think this vape (if it lasts, only had it a few weeks) is in the $125-$150 range.

BTW, is everyone using this by taking off the top rubber thing on the mouthpiece? I noticed in the vapor critic vid he does not use it.

Finally going with the FocusVape Pro M myself; will review it in a month or so, but even otherwise there are enough great reviews of it on its thread to help you consider it. Check it out if you're hard pressed for a sub-$100 choice!

Received my AirVape XS in todays mail. I was looking for a unit that is pocketable, has temperature control and provided good flavor. My budget was up to $300 and this was well under that price. I prefer lower temp sessions and like smooth tasty vapor over "clouds." I've been using an Arizer Solo as my daily driver for four years and wanted something that would compare and be as easy to use but much more portable.

So far, the AirVape XS is meeting all my needs and wants. Build quality feels solid and the unit feels very good in hand. It's smaller than most smart phones, including my Otterbox covered iPhone SE, and it fits in a shirt pocket easily. The mouthpiece would probably come lose in your jeans pocket without a carrying case to secure it. I got the hard shell case and it easily slides in/out of my Levis pockets.

Very comfortable and smooth visible vapor in the 350-375* range. As you'd expect, cooler temps thin out the vapor but the flavor is remarkable and desired affects still hit. I had a bowl at 390* and the vapor was much thicker and effects stronger. The oven holds .15 lose pack and .2 with a tighter pack - ideal size for a solo session. I enjoyed two three minute sessions (350-390*) of the same bowl and the herb looked evenly vaped and was toasty brown.

I'll be using it A LOT in the next few days but expect to enjoy this unit, especially as an on-the-go or travel piece. I think it's priced right in the $150-199 range.

I used this thing all weekend and it's G R E A T!

I can see only two possible problems.

The mouthpiece, secure when being used, isn't so secure while lose in your pockets. The shell case takes care of this situation and secures the unit entirely. It also conceals any smell.

The second is the airflow box; which is pretty small itself and comprised of three separate parts (1 small box, 2 very small "screens.") These pieces require some attention and are easily dropped and lost. I suggest removing/cleaning only when you're at a table or desk - a flat area with some space. I lost one of the screens immediately... while assembling the mouthpiece. I'm a little cranky about that and wish there had been a warning or something to let me know about the pieces. They clearly took the small pieces into consideration, there are replacements included for other screens and the lip guard sleeve thing but not for the pieces that require removal for cleaning, etc...

Other than that this vape will function as I need it to.

Has anyone used the concentrates cup? I'm considering this as a dual purpose device.

I just got the concentrate cup and will be using it in the next couple of weeks.

So far I'm very happy with this unit. Its not one for clouds but it's effective and gets the job done better than most.

I've used the concentrate cup a handful of times this past week. I've only used it with a co2x oil - came in a 1g syringe and is the consistency of a thick honey. The cup is fairly easy to manage - put your material in the cup, drop the cup into the heating chamber, set temp, hit.

I started at lower temps - 375* - as I wasn't sure where to start with such thick sticky material. I was surprised when it pulled easily and was probably the smoothest material I've ever had. (I don't live in a recreational use state.) I tried at higher temps of 410-420* and the vapor is, as expected, more visible including affects. This isn't like using a dab rig or even a concentrate only pen - don't expect "clouds" or that balls out psychotic high. The oil was vaped entirely from the cup and no material was wasted.

I want to try another concentrate but not sure which kind would be the best. Maybe shatter. What a waxy concentrate type?

I can't give you any suggestions. I live in an Illegal state. Been partaking 47 years, only vaping a cpl months. It's Different, but I Like it Over Combustion. I also smoke cigs so you can imagine my lungs after years of Bong use....Vaping was trying to still enjoy Cannabis but Also Extend my ability to BREATHE....LOL.
Best of Luck with your Cup. Would Love to hear about different substances....who knows....I MAY GET SOME......I Have heard of it around.
Thx for the response.

I Removed mine, the plate with 7 holes in it. I also drilled 3 more holes in the Airbox. I Added a 8 inch surgical plastic tubing and a mouth piece off a pipe.
No particulate, Massive Hits of that's what you're into. I vape at 170C X 5 minutes, stir, then 200C for 5 minutes or it quits making any vapor.
Been Combusting 47 years.....I LIKE VAPING......Let alone may Save my Lungs some!

Why would you want to purchase a Chinese Clone?

AFAIK the Airvape is a personalized version of the VS2, the VS2 was available earlier. Maybe its even identical, i never used one of these and have not read the whole thread. Am i wrong?

But i do not buy from alibaba anymore, i like to pay more for a good retailer support. So my price comparison was not fair.

Hi, I've been enjoying my Airvape XS for about a week now. I'm going to clean it for the first time, and I have some questions.

1) I will soak the metal pieces that comprise the "airflow box" in rubbing alcohol, as per the instructions. Is it safe to also clean the glass mouthpiece this way?

2) Google search indicates that rubber usually shouldn't be cleaned with rubbing alcohol; how should I clean the resin-covered rubber pieces such as the silicone base?

3) How about the screen buried at the bottom of the chamber? How do I get it out of there safely? Once it's out, do I give it the rubbing alcohol treatment like the other metal pieces, or is there some better solution?

4) Is it possible to damage these components by leaving them soaking for too long, or could I safely soak overnight?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I usually soak everything for a few minutes in iso. I'll take a qtip to clean the chamber and use the brush that came with the unit if needed. You won't need an overnite soak but its fine for the screens and glass. I don't soak the rubber gasket for more than a few minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. I let everything air dry on a paper towel. I don't remove the screen at the bottom of the chamber but find a wipe with the iso soaked qtip cleans the chamber and screen very well.

The screens and small pieces are a pain in the ass so be careful. I've lost 2-3 screens already and have had to get replacement pieces.

I LOVE this thing!
Fast as hell to get to temp, and the hits are thick and tasty.
It is convenient to carry, and it charges quickly.
I want to thank @fluffhead for the generous donation of what turns out to be a state of the art, very fine portable.
He had it payed forward to him, by using the app Strain Print from http://strainprint.ca
@fluffhead was awarded this vape in a very short time by using that system, and he in turn paid it Forward to our local low income chronically ill patients.
It is good!
Watch for a video.. I will get that done soon!

I think I know what makes this vaporizer create such dense, flavorful clouds.
The chamber is oval... and long and thin
This creates a long chamber with heating walls in close proximity to each other, allowing for closer heat transfer from both of the longer walls of the oval.
The oven is also deep, allowing for a good amount of meds to be heated at once.
The unit medicates very well, with good extraction.
I find beads of sublimate in my glass mouthpiece after every session!

OK yeah starting to get pretty annoyed with the small parts and the air box. They are easily lost - I've dropped the mouthpiece while first using, as in putting it together for the very first use and the air box popped out and pieces scattered. I never found the "flower" screen. I used one of the replacement screens provided when you purchased the unit but it didn't work as well. There iISNT a replacement "flower" screen available.

I then replaced the entire mouthpiece because it comes with an airbox- I was brushing the material off the screen with the provided brush and the airbox fell out. I'm on a balcony so I suspect the airbox is now three stories below and if I want to use the unit again I'll have to replace the mouthpiece again in order for it to work properly.

Replacement parts aren't overly expensive - screens ($10) and mouthpiece ($10) they're just a
fucking pain in the ass! It's annoying and about to become a deal breaker for me. Fuck.
