Great Idea! I will try that later... I got tons of shrink wrap, gonna probably take a few layers.

Just so Dab HAppy!
FWIW here is my experience:

I also bought a Ninja setup over 4/20. Last minute I pulled the trigger, and realized there was no paypal option at checkout. I could not complete the purchase without and sent a note. On 4/21 they responded letting me know they would honor the sale price and let me complete the purchase via ppal. It took a few days before I got the invoice, but they were fantastic and 100% pulled through. I never did get shipping info until after the product arrived... no big deal, happy here:D

I do have a few Dnail specific questions I am about to post up in the Dnail thread...

With regards to next generation gear, I want to ask a quick question about the Dnail forked dabber and carb cap. Damn this thing just wakes the whole system up! BUT gets hot as FUCK especially after a long pull. Is there any good material to wrap and insulate the handle? I keep burning myself.
I agree...the forked dabber and carb cap really sets the kit off, but damn does it get hot! I find setting it on its side rather than upright helps it cool down faster between hits.

The problem is the carb cap. Get a secondary carb cap or find a different attachment to the carb cap. For a completely pleasant dab I swap them every other dab

It's pretty :( but it works; they cool a lot faster without the fork on top and the fork cools immensely faster with a cool carb cap attached.

I've never seen posts of hinged caps before... anyone have experience with these?

Also, if I do not want to leave my enail in my glass joint, what options do I have for stands to place the hot nail on?

I wonder if the Dnail SiC halo dish would fit on my Mininail Universal hybrid nail? Right now I use the mininail with the Quartz dish and its working great. But I hear SiC is better.

The TAG SiC dish might work?

The inner diameter of the Mininail dishes for the Universal nail are 22mm with about a 25mm outer diameter.

The hole in the center is 8mm inner diameter. They are also 10mm tall

I dont know the specs of the TAG SiC. It might work and this dish only costs 12.50

If anyone has a TAG SiC or Dnail SiC halo please post the Dimensions.

Doubtful. The center post is most likely not the right thread. I dont know what the pitch is but its the same pitch Highly Educated uses.. probably standard and not metric.

I might be able to use my Mininail center post from my universal nail to hold down the Dnail SiC dish if the hole in the middle is the right size.

I like the shape of the Dnail SiC Halo dish over the TAG SiC. Its shallow and looks like its easier to dab from.

I found out that High5 also sells a SiC dish for their universal nail. Its alot more shallow then the TAG version. Its shape looks alot more like my Quartz or TI dish from my Mininail.

But these are about $75

Is there a knockoff base that I can put the dnail SiC Halo on?

I think I read it doesn't fit in the auber universal nail that ships with their controller

Just updating to ask if there's anything I should/need to do before I take the sic out for a spin, prep like seasoning or burn-off or whatever? Otherwise just planning to do a quick 'rinse and rip', rip and away...
I'll check th d-nail site, I think they had an info page lol I can't wait to try this out:popcorn:
I'll find out soon, how it fits in the dhgate chitanium hybrid nails that I'm currently using quartz in:science:

Just clean it with some ISO and then maybe do a high heat cleaning and should be ready. No seasoning needed and you'll want to keep it as clean as possible to preserve the taste.

Hello. I have never used an enail, nor have I ever done a traditional dab. For about 2 years now I have used the e-nano and ss wool technique. I realized recently that there might be better options out there and came back to FC for help. I have an FC-710 and love it so I'm set on the glass. I've read enough to feel I can comfortably start with the auber rdk-200, a flat coil and a dnail slim with SIC Halo. I also ordered the carb cap (although I have no idea how to use it) as I hope to keep dab temps low for the most part. I was just hoping for any tips and tricks, maybe starting temps? Any other thoughts are all welcome and greatly appreciated!!

You will be pleased.
That is a solid set-up.
SiC is a superb material for dabbing upon.
Try 640*.

I vape rosin and usually start at around 550F and adjust from there. There does seem to be a wide range of sweet spots tho.

And I dab at low temps partly due to asthma. Hot hits bother me. But you may like one and done dabbing, so experiment.

If the vapor slows and I notice oil left in the dish, I reinstall the carb cap, and crank up the heat in 20-30 degree increments.

And the dnail carb cap is very important. Once you paint a small dab of concentrate on the dish, cover the dish with the carb cap. It keeps vapors in, and the angled hole makes for a swirling turbo like effect. It really does make a huge difference

I like to twist the dnail carb cap around when I'm dabbing. I saw bubbleman do that with one of his carb caps on a quartz banger and saw the oil being pushed around the bottom of the dish. Having tried it for a few days, it seems like I get a denser hit this way.
