btw, after researching the data on ardent it says it's about 98% active, not 100%. not a huge deal, esp compared to oven or toaster methods but just wanted to clarify. they have a chart showing 18.3% total thc and after using the nova it became 17.9% thc active. about 98% overall. just fyi.

Memorial Day sale. I got 2 versions of the email but felt this one worked best for our community.

Hi Ardent Family,

I hope you're having a great weekend. It's (FINALLY!) starting to get warm here in Boston and we are gearing up for an exciting summer. More on that later this week...

Right now I wanted to take a minute to share one of my absolute favorite things: meeting our decarboxylator owners and hearing about their experiences!

Matt makes all kinds of edibles and topicals (his bath bombs and salves gave his mom so much relief she no longer uses pharmaceuticals :) When he stopped by our booth to say hi, I was excited to hear his amazing story. Check it out!

Our Memorial Day pledge is going strong. Thanks to CannaCare Docs and everyone who has joined us so far! There's still time to save $35 with 10% of proceeds going to study cannabis as a treatment for Veterans suffering from PTSD. Use the code HELPVETS at www.ardentcannabis.com
Share it on social to help us make an even bigger difference!

So my unit finally arrived after one month of wait time. I'm from Canada with brokerage fees, shipping and conversion i took a hit of about $400 on this unit. Naturally the machine would not complete it's cycle. The instructions say to not interfere with the process so I didn't, until 5 hours passed and finally had to turn it off. Not sure at this point if it even worked, Anyone else experience their unit never turning to a green light to indicate that the cycle is complete?

Wow. That sucks. I've been eyeing this device, but$400?? IMO, that's not worth it. Of 3 recent batches, my results were incredible. Better than expected. (besides my 3rd batch in which I tried to decarb in a mason jar at a lower temp for a lesser amount of time. Albeit weaker than anticipated, it still produced some quality canacoconut oil)

The price tag is too high! Perhaps a Canadian vendor will pop up in the near future!
@sojo, i hope your device isn't faulty n it ends up being a sound investment for you!

@sojo - have you tried it again?

a couple of times my unit doesn't start when i press the button, so i power down/power up and then it works ... maybe the software initialization routine gets hung up?

After unplugging the unit I tried another batch out. The cycle completed in just over an hour, herbs look the same as yesterdays batch.

So, made one more batch. Unplugged the machine after the first batch was completed and gave a 1.5 hour cool down. Again the unit is now at 2.5 hours which is pretty inconsistent. Looks like I will have to set a timer for each batch as the unit appears to be functioning other than not ending it's cycle.

how much you putting in the unit? i find 8 grams loosely fills the container about 3/4 full and always takes 90 minutes.

@sojo - i'm trying to figure out why the cpu clock/timer is acting erratic, although the heater is working - both require the cpu to function properly.

okay, from their website:
This unit is 110v and 90watts. Use on European 220v requires use of a step down converter.

do you have a 110v/60hz power source?

I am looking at getting one but I also live in Canada and taxes, broker fees, exchange, warranty all leave me afraid to pull the trigger. I bought an MBM2E locally and used it once and that's it. Collecting dust. Anyone in Canada want to pm me to take it off my hands (major less than retail) let me know.

Question for all you cooks. are you guys cooking with lecithin? if so, are you using granules or liquid lecithin??
i've only found granules and i find they don't emulsify well, they end up at the bottom of the oil. considering ordering some liquid lecithin online.

Iv used both.

I make coconut oil and run a double cycle with the lecithin added in between. Granules melt that way for me.

Most vitamin and supplement companies online carry the liquid, so does WalMart.
