I saw that @lwien Erin Moran who played Joanie Cunningham from Happy Days. Last I heard she was kicked out of a trailer park in Indiana. It's hard for a child stars to transition when they have such early fame after their show is over. Happy Days continued a long time. Then Joanie Loves Cachee was her downfall in TV sitcoms.

RIP Roger Ales has died. Really no loss for politics - he was fired from Fox for being a serial sexual abuser. He actually lived to be 77. I thought he looked like one away from a massive heart attack 7 years ago. It sounds like he fell down and he was a hemophiliac and died from a blood clot.

Edit
I know @lwien i couldn't think of anything nice to say about this man who is a liar on a grand scale Kinda like someone else we know.

RIP to Chris Cornell.

I don't really watch the news, but my cd player in my car broke, so I was listening to the radio and the girl said something about celebrating the life of Chris. I thought "that's a weird thing to say, did he die?"

Man, what a bummer when I got home and googled it and saw that he did.

I loved those first few Soundgarden albums as a kid, and they are some of the only rock from that era that I still listen to this day.

Such a crazy way to choose to go too. You usually really only hear about suicide hangings in prison, where it is the only option.

Ya know, CK, I thought about putting Ailes up here about an hour ago but I just couldn't proclaim "Rest in peace" for this guy. I feel for his family but for many, this guy was a total asshole.
My mamma used to tell me "if you don't have anything nice to say about the person, don't say anything"

I should think that would be particularly applicable to the dead.

This is not to disrespect your mamma but I TOTALLY disagree with that statement but for those that know me, that should be pretty obvious, eh?

Ailes was an asshole and just because he's dead, it doesn't make him any less of an asshole. All it does is makes him a dead asshole.

Honor to the 2 men who died in my hometown of Portland Oregon standing up to right wing domestic terror.
They tried to calm down a crazy right wing domestic terrorist who was going after 2 women.
The domestic right wing terrorist stabbed both the heroes to death..

wow. this country is screwed, the shooting in my city was sort of the reverse, 3 innocent white men killed by a racist african american lunatic extremist.
the fact that we now live in a time where nutjobs feel emboldened and empowered shows just how stupid humans are, how incredibly fucking stupid and brainwashed we get despite all our achievements and how big a problem it is that people are instilling the values of hatred and fear in the kids they raise instead of empathy, understanding and compassion. we're so screwed. and looking at the big picture, i think the problem lies with not only the irresponsible news media, the fact that the internet exists and the red/blue feuding, but also the parents and the messages theyre putting into the sponges that are their kids brains, dangerous brainwashing regurgitated from their own childhood. this vicious cyle is just going to grow as time goes by in the age of easily-attained bullshit propaganda hate mongering on the internet. oh and population growth. not enough of those morons with extremist thought processes are fixing whats wrong with their brain and breaking the cycle with the upcoming generation(s) and I think we're gonna see a growth in their numbers in coming decades. hate to say, but the media is definitely not helping! everyone from fucking ISIS sympathizers to fucking flat earth supporters are growing in numbers thanks to propaganda and these people are really starting to believe that they have legitimacy and outreach. we're fucking screwed.

I TOTALLY disagree with that statement
Yes, you are right....that's not surprising.

I have to say that I agree, at least in part. Particularly about what is and is not instilled in youth by parents and other adult influences. If you don't practice comity and courtesy yourself, what would you expect from your kids?

The media definitely has the most significant role to play in the divisiveness and hatred. Especially since it is 90% skewed to one side and paints their side as the peace loving heroes and the other as hateful bigots, when both sides are equally bad and equally good at times too.

And now with the internet, both sides can just find a little echo chamber where they can just have the things they already want to believe repeated back to them by others. Meanwhile spewing venom and hatred at the other side.

But I also think the 24 hour news cycle also instills much fear and convinces people that it is much more dangerous than it really is. If you ask people about the late 60s, many will tell you it was a time of peace in the land compared to now. The truth is there were literally dozens of domestic bombings by radical left wing terrorist groups throughout the late 60s. That type of thing would be utterly shocking today if it were happening.

People need to realize the left vs. right, democrat vs. republican, Christians vs Muslims vs Jews, black vs white vs brown, etc. is all just a scheme to created by powerful governments and religious institutions, and wealthy people/organizations throughout the ages and spread through media and propaganda to keep us all divided and hating each other, so the true rulers can keep ruling over all of us peasants.

Gregg Allman was sidelined from performing for months before his death Saturday, and these are photos of his last stage performance 2 days before Halloween.
