FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

Hello boys and girls,

I am new to the world of vaping and have a problem with my couple weeks old v5.0s.

Sometimes (very randomly) it won't turn on! The purple light flashes 5 times and that's it. "All" I have to do then is to randomly combine 5-time-presses and button-holds until the device turns on and works normally.

About 15% of the sessions that I want to start occur with that issue. Most of the times, the vape works like a swiss clockwork. What is very confusing ...? The battery IS charged (it blinks 5 times red I think if the battery is empty).

Hope that someone can help me there.

PS: Vaping is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice ... all the years smoking (weed mixed with TOBACCO!!!) feels like wasted time, money, health, enjoyment, flavour, opportunities, etc. :D
Last weekend, I consumed cannabis in a pub - and nobody noticed it - I felt so stealthy and smart rofl.
Already have 2 other friends who want to get a vape too.

So fuck combustion and cheers!

First off, howdy! Welcome to the Forum, vaping in general and all the fun. You're right about enjoying it more, you also use less herb than smoking (but a LOT) and you get longer to live and enjoy it.......not a bad deal?

Being color blind I can't comment on the color, perhaps someone with normal color vision will? I can honestly say 'I've never seen it....'. However, I have seen flashes and refusal to start, but from a low battery? Otherwise, timing of the five pushes is very important. They have to be fast and close together (under two seconds total?), too slow and it doesn't count to five, too fast and it can miss a count?

The good part is it's not likely a battery/charge issue if you can enjoy a normal session after some fiddling and no charging?

Yeah weird... never heard of this error code before. Red flashing for sure, seen that one often... especially when you just filled the bowl and wanted to use the device, but nope!

But purple flashing you say? I'll try to remember to ask my Smiss contact next time we chat.

Hey, what's going on. This is my first post here, and I just bought a flowermate v5.0x mini last week.

I've used it several times, and I'm pretty happy with it.

Does anybody know the answer to this question?

The silicone mouthpiece that comes with the unit doesn't have any metal base on it.

When using the silicone mouthpiece, are you supposed to put it on the chamber without any metal base, or are you supposed to screw the metal base off of the glass mouthpiece and use that?

Welcome!

The answer is the latter: take the base from the other (just pull gently, the glass is held by some silicone piece) I would have thought that they would give you two full mouthpieces but apparently not... :hmm:

Thanks!

I used the silicone moutpiece a few times without the metal base, and I think that I screwed my device up, because it pushed the chamber down a little bit, and it remains that way.

I contacted the seller to get a replacement, so hopefully that works out ok.

I tried looking in the manual when I first got the device, but I didn't see anything mentioned about how to use the silicone mouthpiece.

The manufacturer cheaped out by not including a metal base for the silicone mouthpiece, because then this wouldn't even have been an issue.

Had anyone ever vaped cbd herbs or oils in his fm?
Not that i don't vape normal herbs in it, but i tend to be anxious sometimes.
I was thinking if it might help me in those times.

I have I bought some hemp Cbd herbs from vapefiend. And I have used them with my vapes which includes a FM v5.0s. works well. Takes a couple of chambers/ovens to get that relaxed feeling. And note it does taint the chamber/oven when you next put some proper herbs in. But yes works fine

Yes, many of us have, it works fine although you often have to bump the heat up a bit.

It can help with anxiety when you're loaded in public for sure. Us MMJ types can enjoy the benefits of the Herb without the intoxicating part.....well at least not as much. You can use a lot and still function.

Use the pods for concentrates of course.

Give it a try and see how works for you, that's really what matters, right?

CBD Herbs in FM with impunity.
Oils do stain a chamber. The stain is just that, a stain and it does not affect performance.
I use the FMs for flower only, and use oils in devices more suited to them.
I do not care for the stained appearance, but the stains do not affect performance.

Any of you think the flower mate is just a cheap piece of crap out of China ?? I have the pro w/ digital adjustment and have had it now 5/6 months.

I can get small, tiny clouds with it. I know how to hit it pretty well so I not just bashing it.

But I'm back vape shopping again n want to make sure I get something I like.

The Flowermate does not produce the thick clouds that some vapes do, but it is not just a
cheap piece of crap out of China
It has been a solid performer for many American sellers... and has gained respect Retailers, as being above the typical new, short lived units that China sends out.
It just may not be the vape for your needs.
I do not love the Flowermate but occasionally I use it.
And while it is not my favorite, it has been perfect for some of the local patients that I get them for.
You are likely just a heavier hitter.

It is what it is...the cheapest vape ($85ish) I can find that actually works, within certain parameters. But if you are looking for something better there is a lot out there. A lot of it depends on how much money you want to throw at the equation. Invest a little more this time around...and read a lot of this forum!

"Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go?".

FWIW I think FM is a good vape for what it is. Dependable, solid, easy to use. Great for sipping, if not for clouds.

In the same price range I think the CFC has a lot to offer, including 'bigger clouds'?

@Smokinjoe: that's a rather awkward way of starting a conversation don't you think?

It's like if you entered a restaurant, then told the waitress "this place stinks, the food is crap and you are ugly" and then proceeded to ask her recommendations for the wine selection...

You are right. I won't try deny that. It was rude n rough.

But I've just become so frustrated with it after reading n researching for so long before my purchase.

I also have a org paxx, getting very mixed results with that I took a lot of time before buying the flowermate.

So I'm back buying another vape and was looking for others who aren't fans.

The original pax takes some finesse to give a great session, and develops it's own little quirks.
I still use one, and it treats me well!
There are a ton of vapes here in this forum to explore, and some very devoted, and "obsessed with vapor tools" kinda guys here to help make a more solid decision.
I find something to love about almost every vape.
There are definitely levels of this love, and also exceptions... some I don't even like thinking about.
You can read through the original pax thread, and see some of what the fans are doing to make the Pax 1 perform like a beast.
This thread is 150 pages long and in it there is some FlowerMate wisdom that may help you to appreciate it in a new light.

Isn't a pax one of those?
I imagine you mean vapes that I love.
I like the Pax 1 but do not reach for it that often because of the maintenance on it.
I love the Flowermate more than the pax, because the flowermate does not have as precise a cleaning routine.
I can use a Flowermate for a month.
Pax original gets cleaned after 3-4 sessions at least.
