The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Herb gardener...
I'm happy to help, as many did for me, a couple of years ago...

The ssv wands are 18mm ground glass joints, So yes they are usefull for many vapes...

I love using my ssv wand.. it has very thick walls, brilliant heat retention for glass..

I also like the secondary screen inside..
This gives you the option of a mega pack...
(Filling the basket, and the space behind it)
Or you can just fill the back section, and just give a shake between hits....

Many options, and it's all about variety....

Oh and I use silicone with an 8mm internal diameter...
This works well for most things...

Hope this helps..

Im getting the hang of and loving it in all modes. Whats the DDave thing? Its day 2 of me having an Extreme Q lol

But yeah its def about letting the glass get hot. I gotta remember the "200C" or 220 is the heating element and not the glass or herb. Like 185-190 gets you insane vapor with Crafty, even Air 190 is very nice. But i guess those are just much more direct heating elements.

I expected balloon mode to be kinda half assed, it surprised me with its potency. Just not as thick as volcano but also uses less bud

I'm happy people are still enjoying this machine, and all the variety it brings... it truly is one of the most versatile vapes out there still....

With the right set up and mods, I believe you can tune it from being jack of all trades, to master of one...

For example @CuckFumbustion has a bery efficient bag system if I remember correctly...

And I had my whip set up dialled in so well, it produced instant thick vapour, clouding the wand...

A @DDave kit is an essential eq mod... definitely worth a look...

Edit:- Oh and a ddave adapter and a dhgate hydratube, put the eq embarrassingly close to the (far more expensive) evo.....

Im looking at the different DDave mods, the 14/18mm options are only for connecting to a bong/water pipe? Cause mine can do 14 and 18. The kit with both costs an extra 35. I actually have an SSV and never really got into vaping through a bong. This DDave mod also replaces the "cyclone" bowl and makes for better vapor and different whips than the stock equipment? Cause i wanna know if its just for GonG or if the DDave also improves just regular EQ vaping?

Basically picking out which to get. Does 14 or 18mm really matter if you dont care too much about using it with a bong (and again, i have stems for both)

I use the 14 for microdosing and the 18 for a punch in the face...
If i had to only have one, it would be he 18...
But its all sort of modular and can be mixed and matched with adapters amd what not..

A @DDave kit is a must have eq mod...
You wont be dissapointed....

I bought mine from eBay 6-7 years ago so I'm now wondering did I get a fake? at the time nobody had one in Australia so hence eBay, is there a way to look at it and tell? are there any fake vs real pics I can use to identify mine?
any help would be grate

You should be able to identify the serial number on the base of the unit and send it over to Arizer, they can check the authenticity of your product. That's the way I've checked mine as I've bought it from Amazon.

Thanks mate I will do it but what had me questioning it was the colour as the new ones are black but the one I have is like a dark titanium colour. Ive since read that early models like mine are not black. Im fairly sure its real but will send the sn# over to ariser just to make sure.

Latest models are not black either...
But back to the pale goldish colour....

It's probably just the lighting that makes them look black, or darker than mine anyways. I just don't like having fakes of any kind, I own a Panerai and I've seen the fake version of the watch for $50 but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I got a 2017 model from POTV. Totally is black
New. this month.
PS: thanks for the elbow-packing advice! Makes whip mode comparable to SSV for sure. I also like the hookah-style whip vs 1 handed ssv thing (i still love the ssv, just find it to be constraining, i mostly like to vape via Firefly2 and if im really lazy, c02 carts (i try to hold off on those, very pricey in my state)

ALSO the EQ screens are great for the Crafty, even better than its own screens. Also learned that here :)

Tho I have sent the sn# to ariser asking to confirm if mine is a real or fake dose the serial number NSH+(13DH-6000) seem legit? its in like a recess on the base no just stuck on the base randomly and there is a holographic QC passed sticker in the very centre of the fan grill. If anyone know it would be much appreciated.

So im def gonna get some type of DDave mod, just trying to figure out which. I read and watched a bunch of reviews and demos and it seems like a replacement for the cyclone bowl which gets the herbs closer to the heating element which improves production in general and gets the glass hotter more quickly, which is really the only thing i feel could be better with the EQ (i hear that would eliminate the need to elbow-pack). Thing is, i saw them review just a tiny little glass bowl piece, and i see all these kits with 18mm and 14mm glass. I wanna get this straight (just from the official DDAVE mod site), are these glass pieces especially for connection to a bong? Or are there other uses for all these glass pieces that come with the mod? Cause im assuming the mod itself is just an improved bowl? Someone said earlier it also replaces the whip, is this accurate? Is that what the 18mm glass is, or just GonG-Bong action? Which is cool but not my main priority when vaping. Im happy with a super efficient whip and better bags.

Whats this thing with needing a SSV wand? I do actually have a few somewhere. I hope spherical ground glass works! Since of course they are a bit different and with the SSV need diff heater covers

Thanks in advance for the advice, you guys are the best!

My Extreme Q no longer heats. Anyone ever have this?
All functions work, just no heat. Took it completely apart, cleaned and made sure everything was tight, tried another power cord...nothing.
Because it was gifted to me, Arizer says no warranty applies and their troubleshooting tips haven't helped.

The spherical GG SSV wand won't work unfortunately. It needs to mate with the 18.8mm female adapter, so you want the regular GG wand. It'll work with an elbow joint in a pinch if you don't have the wand. :2c:

Just tried out the Dabuddha wand with its own screens, and a straight 18mm male adapter on the bubbler, and it works like a treat. It increases vapour production and taste. Obviously I had the short cyclone bowl version.
Next step: ddave mod.

So, i dont mean to repeat but everything except the actual bowl (cyclone bowl) in those DDAVE kits, are those mainly for bongs? The 14mm/18mm. Or for replacing the whip? I asked this above in a long-winded manner. Because i wanna get a kit with just parts id be using. I dont vape thru bongs much, but id love to bring the herbs closer to the element and have a more efficient whip and balloon

The kits can be used for both wet and dry vaping...
Just a case of conecting your @DDave whip setup to one of your existing elbows, to mate to your water piece....

So the DDAVE mod comes with its own whip basically? Any of the kits? Cause i dont need like all these 14 and 18mms if theyre just bong GonG. One size is good enough for that. Prolly 18? I do have a SSV elbow piece btw for using SSV with bong

I was JUST posting about how strict Arizer can be with their warranties and fixing units. The Air was really a bitch to replace, even one that really was messed up from the get-go.

As for the Q, did you try just a diff Cord or did you use a diff power adaptor? Because the power thing that came with my 2017 unit is so easily disconnected. Its kinda a really crappy adaptor. It is literally the one real thing i dont like about EQ, did you try another set? I mean the whole plug in the wall, the plug into that horrible adaptor that lights up green, and then the plug from that into the EQ.

I dont know why in 2017 theyre still using these adaptors... If i move my EQ it gets disconnected. I even wonder if mine is just a bit messed up or if its meant to be like that
