Having a rare free morning in the mancave. Sipping on a Lagunitas "Where's Waldo" at 11.9%, and sipping Colorado concentrate from my FF2. Doesn't get much better........but I have the Cocobolo UD warming up if reinforcements are needed:evil::science::worms::leaf::lol:

Thanks for you post! So you skip Medium-high entirely? I have been getting solid hits on low and medium-low and I m happy about that.

I had read that batteries can die quickly, but I get through about two bowls before it's kicked. Is that normal? It's brand new!

Yep. I skip Medium-high. Sadly, that is the average battery life at 5 months for me. Sometimes 3 bowls. It's worth mentioning that I draw the full 30 seconds the green light is on, every pull.

Holy shit, so stoned right now......when you get this vape right, it just kills! Started out with some crumble, then switched to flower on high. Added a growler of Epic "Brainless on Cherries" and you know the result..........

Another crazy flavor day with this vape! Anybody who lives in a legal place with good concentrates should definitely try one of these. Hitting some Colorado crumble (78%) and a Denver cousin.....A Great Divide "Nadia Kali" Saison brewed with Hibiscus, Ginger and Lemon. Yum on both accounts!

What's up fellow vapors! I've had my airizer air for almost two years now And am kind of thinking about the firefly 2 because of my vaping style.

Usually I only take a couple hits then I'm good. So I really like that I don't have to worry about wasting material when I'm not with friends. However I love to be active so I'm wondering how the vape holds up. Any cases of the glass breaking?

Do you think the firefly 2 is worth the money? Is there any drawbacks I should be aware of?

Thanks

I haven't heard anything about glass breaking. But it is hard for me to grab the FF when I am doing things outside. The fact that I have to stir it every time to avoid scorching makes it pretty difficult. Especially when you stir it, it all comes out on top the glass, if it's windy it'll just blow off. The whole time trying to not drop the lid. Also, if I don't finish my bowl in one sitting, or fairly quickly thereafter..before it cools down, it combusts. I don't know if it's the resin clumping up and causing it or what. I just make sure I finish it, so I can wipe it out with the brush while it is warm, and get it clean, and it works great.

Or avoid all that, and be blown away with the ease, taste, and effect of using the concentrate pads!

got my firefly 2 yesterday and noticed that one of the sensor buttons (the metal pellet) is pushed in (way more than the other one). Sth to worry about? It works but rarely won't recognize my finger.

Anyway I like it very much but do struggle sometimes to hit it right. Burned two times when using the concentrate pad but I think thats part of the learning process.

How often do you clean the glass above the chamber that gets very sticky?

Have you tried turning down the heat if you're getting combustion?

The only time I ever think I got close to combustion with my FF2 was when I was outside with the sun shining directly on the glass window and I noticed a large amount of vapor, I don't think I combusted but that was as close as I ever got and it only happened once.

I noticed that by turning down the heat a little and lengthening my sessions I was able to get more even heating, I do stir once usually then finish the load.

I think the main issues with the FF2 heating is the "rising puck" where the load will be pulled up where the air is pushing through which leads to only that part of the load being heated primarily.

How is the taste in comparison from FF2 to FF1? I never had the chance to experience the first version. I feel like everything I put into my FF2 makes things so much tastier. My not so good bud tastes so much better in comparison to most other portables I have in rotation. Maybe its the cooking action of the oils inside this oven that does it for me, but I really enjoy the taste all the way thru. These days, I grab for the FF2 when I have the time sit and sip. I'm very happy to have finally tried it. I was a hold out for so long due to the mixed reviews.

I go where the thrills are
I can't answer that but if anyone can it'll be the avuncular Mitch:
Heh. I had to look that up. :p

Just to repeat my previous opinion....I think the taste is pretty similar. I find the 1 a bit cooler temp wise than the 2....perhaps related to the difference between the steel plate vs the glass plate of the 2. Both are about the best flavor devices I have used....but I'd put the 1 a teeny bit ahead. Just by a nose. YMMV and all the that.

For all you concentrate folks: how many pulls do you typically get out of one small BB sized amount. I tried it for the first time with the pad and either it's completely gone or it's hiding after one 30sec pull on the concentrate setting??? Any ideas? It tasted fantastic and definitely medicated well. But is it really gone?

it sinks into the pad i normally get at least 5 good blasts off one small bit when you put it on the pad start with 5 cigar type puffs to absorb it in and then i just do slow 10 sec draws .i have a question how long do others use the pads and are you cleaning them for reuse or replacing im soaking one in iso alcohol at min

It melts into the pad, but you'll get results through 4 or 5 pulls. I clean the pad in ISO about every 5th or 6th session.

1yr update: figure I've had this one for about a year now. Pretty much my daily driver, and has been. I have other vapes but this thing just works. Taste is awesome. Like I'm chewing it up and eating it or something. I know folks have had some troubles and I've actually given up trying to share with this one, but for me, it is just still as awesome as the day I got it. Maybe I'm lucky or whatever with the function but it just works and I have never even once not gotten the result I was hoping for. I'm a 99% flower guy and it is crazy efficient, loses taste after 5-6 hits but still easily gets the job done. I have to work harder than I would like, meaning breathing in for 30seconds, is the only real downside to me. Smell is minimal and is my stealthiest vape I have for smell. Did I say taste, ha, just so good. I would be lost without this one. I'm already wondering what the ff3 will be like. Haha

Out of curiosity, how many hits are you guys taking before you cash the bowl? I've done anywhere from 10-20+. I usually climb the ladder heat wise, starting off at low and 89% power. Tastes amazing at that setting with fresh flower.

@toked23 After a year, do you have any clogging issues with your usage? Half of the holes in my oven are clogged, but it still performs well enough. Mine was a secondhand unit. I've done the poking with needles, heating it up and wiping ISO, blew holes out with my rocket air. I may have to send this sucker in for a new restrictor plate. The previous owner let this one sit for some time before I scooped it up. I really wanna know what an unclogged one performs like. At this point, using concentrates in it I'm scared to do, for fear it'll clog more.

If your FF2 is out of warranty already, you may venture to mod it like I did. Be careful though, someone tried and broke the device. Read the posts following this one to make out this mod.
Now it flies. Good old SS mesh works like a charm - airflow is FREEEEE!
My wishlist just shrunk to IQ and some Vapcaps for sure.
I need more FF2 batteries now :)

No issues with clogging with mine. I haven't used much concentrate with it though.

Hmmmm, interesting. Where is this information ? Don't we get a 2yr warranty though?

Start with my old message above which I self-quoted. And read some messages following to it. I am not sure on warranty, 2yr is the thing to consider.

When I read this it felt like I wrote it myself because this is exactly how I feel. I even share mine as my friend has it down and we use it like a joint.

In what I like to call juice box mode I go from low to concentrate, 6 hits on low, 4 on mid low, mid, mid high, 2 on high and 2 on concentrate.
