That FC-MOD just has standard 18mm ground joints. Haven't got an HGL yet, but the main man RastaVapa has mentioned the availability of wongs/gongs/etc previously. I have after-market gongs for my Solos, for VapCaps I use a little bit of silicone tubing to achieve a seal, quick n' dirty but works fine.

The HGL comes packed with a Wong. It's tapered so you'll won't need to adjust it manually. I'll post some pictures of mine in a few days.

Hey there, I've been away from the forum for a long time: life, work, health got in the way.
I'm still in love with my HGL and use it almost daily. It's great for really small doses that keep my pain away.

My combusting friends tried and liked it and even non-partaking people rave about how pretty and cute it is.

Oh my bad! Today there was a storm and thunder, electricity was off quickly and I unplugged the phone plug, a minute after there was a big bang and a sort of lightning was coming out of the phone plug.... I don't know how it was possible but my HGL doesn't survive (it was +1meter away of the phone plug and electricity was already off, my PC, box&phone survived), no heat and I heard something moving and clicking around in the vape ... any helps appreciated!

@PPN have you got another power supply you can try it with.
The lightning could have put a surge thru the power line and took it out.
My friends had a strike on their house thru the fone line and the socket exploded and they found pieces of it embedded in the wooden stair case.

Yes I tried it with the Herborizer Ti dial (I already tried before and it was good) without sucess...still no heat. But @RastaVapa is nice and I'll send him my log for repair today.

Yes, cause the lightning the socket shield was ejected threw the room and there was a special smell (ozone?) but when I inspected the socket there was no burning mark and it was working fine. The issue is I live in the wild and when there is a lightning on the phone line it follows it until my house where it need to comes out. This is happen regulary but habitually I only have to remenber to unplug the phone line as well electricity to be safe.... but here the lightning killed my log without any direct connexion (I suppose the lightning was able to jump from the phone line to a cable or directly to the unit!).

One minute before the lightning, I was sit just front of my desk at 50cm of the phone plug.... maybe I lost a vape but I can estimate lucky myself to be safe!

Just received my Blackwood HGL from repairs (cause a lightning), thanks to you RastaVapa!

He replaced the heater and it looks like the new one is slightly cooler and tastier and he replaced the bottom part with something better (I'll try to post pic of it finally...). I was worry when I plugged it at first cause there was no heat... but it was plugged with the PA the HGL comes with and in use during the storm.... so I used my Herborizer dial (12v) and it works now!

Still loving my HGL! One question, I want to replace the cable that goes from the vvps too the log, mine is a bit frayed and it twists up easily! What am I looking for does anybody know?

I've been hyping myself up for some time about log vapes from friends, Reddit and reading this thread, and am really considering getting one. Seems like such a fantastic device.

I see that people are using the HGL for hash/kief/concentrates as well as bud and that it works quite well. This is awesome! I was wondering, has anyone tried using it for DMT? Does it work well for it?

Not sure where to get a new one but i recommend unplugging the cable and relieving the coil that always seems to build up and re plug in, seems to help my cable.

Still thoroughly enjoying my yew homegrown, i use it through my mobius bubbler most of the time.

Hiya RastaVapa, hope all is well w/you and your health is getting good. I've only recently discovered your work and it is amazing. I love that each piece has its own shape & style, they are truly unique works of art. Not to mention native 220V! I've acquired a nano recently and enjoy the log experience, so simple & effective but now I know that a well-made, gorgeous UK-made log exists... I NEED one. How do I go about getting on the list (if indeed there is one) or is there a series of riddles and quests one must complete to be worthy of the HGL tribe? Please let me know how to begin the process!

Send Nick (@RastaVapa) a mail here and ask him :) simple as that. There is a wait list though and not sure how long things will take.

Thanks @Cl4ud3, I did PM him a week or so ago; wasn't sure how often he might check or if it just didn't make it. I'm in no hurry as my wife might kill me if I make a vape-related purchase anytime soon. It would be enough to know I'm on his list somewhere. I am glad @RastaVapa is doing well so that a new workshop is required so that his tribe shall increase. Now if we could find him a few log-making oompa-loompas... :tup:

Can't seem to edit my earlier post (maybe a big strong mod can merge for me?)

BUT out of the blue today, got a reply from @RastaVapa reassuring me that I'm on the list and get this: he bothered to do so while on holiday. with his family. from his mobile. What a nice dude. I felt horrible like "Forget about me, you're doing your life" and he hit me back again to say don't worry. Seriously genuine guy, the kind you're happy to do business with. Now I know why so many HGL owners have gone back for more. I don't care how long the wait, just knowing that one happy day I will be in the HGL Tribe is enough. Seeing all the pictures just geeks me now out cause I know someday I'm going to have that Christmas morning feeling! So all you proud owners that haven't gotten around to posting a pic of your HGL, pretty please?!

And I'm going to let @RastaVapa return to his scheduled his family time...:peace:
