Anyone played the new Torment game Tides of Nomunera?

An enhanced version of the original Torment got released on IOS the other week. Been having fun reliving teenage moments on that game, lots of nostalgia. I decided to replay the original on the convenience of my ipad no less, before I got the new one. I don't get much time for gaming so it's gonna take a while.

Playing thru the remaster myself. It has some haters, but I think they did a good job.

Speaking of D&D games, been playing Temple of Elemental Evil with the Circle of 8 and Temple+ modpacks recently. It's too bad the combat in the Infinity Engine games (Planescape/Baldurs Gate/Icewind Dale) wasn't more like this. Better than the real time with pause stuff and seems like much more of a sensible and natural progression from the Gold Box era games, which had really good tactical turn based combat themselves. Someone/s actually working on porting IWD into the ToEE engine, which sounds amazing but must be a pretty big undertaking too. Hopefully it gets completed.

I did back the kickstarter for the new Torment but haven't played it yet. Waiting a while for it to be complete. patches/DLC, ect..

I have been wanting to play that game like I have almost bought it 3 times at least..... and I hear stuff like this and think fuck I don't have that kinda time to invest

I'm really enjoying it, wish the combat was a tad bit better but everything else is super sweet. And the combat is fun to kill people just a bit repetitive, the writing, stories, gwent, atmosphere, etc everything is top top notch. Combat so far is x, b, x, b, x, b right trigger occasionally left bumper occasionally to switch spells. That's not to say there aren't some difficult bosses but IMO the bosses are difficult because 90% of everything I've killed with just x and b and you aren't familiar with the other mechanics.

That said I got this for my dad last father's day, he played a bit and had to quit because he couldn't commit the time (think he had like 18 hours), was talking to a friend about how I've been playing it and he said if he could review that game in one word, he would say "exhausting".

Ya I almost got DS3 but didn't for similar reasons. I played the shit outta Elder scrolls 3 when I was younger 120+ hrs on one character. I unfortunately just don't have that kind of time to burn right now.

Looked up strategy on how to beat a Witcher boss....says "this is a boss you face early game"

I'm at the 22 hour mark

Considering I have 145 hours+ in that game it is "early game". :)

Tbh, the main questline can be beat in 30 or so hours. But the side stuff is just so much fun.

I just finished Persona 5. Medicated most of the time. The feels. Cried like a baby dozens of times.

That game is just so meh to me. I'm only in the Okumura palace and struggling to even finish the game.

Replaying Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines (available on GoG). for the who knows time. One of the best rpg's ever made once it was fully patched by Wesp5, the company who developed it went bankrupt immediately after release so moders had to patch it. Much like Skyrim except Bethesda had no excuse for not patching a game they made millions off of.

If you have the patience for dated graphics it is highly recommended.

Hm, never heard of it but I'll have to try it out...

My last final is on Wednesday and I plan to play a shit ton of games over the summer... I have so much shit I need to play thru.

I bought Bravely Second for 3ds on launch (last APRIL!!!) and still haven't played it, and Bravely Default was very very good. I also bought both new Pokemon on launch date and haven't even done one of the islands or whatever :/

I'm still 115/120 shrines in BotW though... Only about 100 more Korok Seeds til max inventory though!
