Can't wait to get a vapcap - should I go original or ti woody?

And just any standard length (not xl)?
Site is down for me but that is the 2 options?
I have an og but wasn't in love with the fat rubber as an adapter. The nong is good as a standard mouthpiece too?

If you want to buy an M Vapcap and want to use it with water tools you can either use the fat no over the M mp or you can replace your one piece 62mm stainless steel M stem/mp combination for a 45mm VonG body and a 17mm wood mp or the longer 62mm VonG stem.

The VonGs fit a 14mm female joint on masterpieces.

Those are your options.

The M uses a standard length condenser and accommodates a 62mm midsection. It does not use the XL condenser. But you could buy an XL condenser to replace the standard condenser and then you could use a 62mm VonG stem and a 17mm wood mp.

Definitely get the M to try it out. My OG broke the second time I tried it and given the price of the M and it's sturdiness I don't think an OG is worth it. (It broke because I was new to the vapcap and died in the process of combustion.)
As for the rest- where do you live? There are a couple of people who make great stems that don't need condensers. One is in Canada and the other- I think England. I've bought stems from both of them and love them both.
The thing to keep in mind is that vapcaps are incredibly modular so that whatever you start out with can be rearranged. Meaning that you need the cap and the tip. Other than that pick what body size and wood you want and, unless you get one from the other stem makers, get a condenser. You can always at some point get a different body in a different shape or wood. They're pretty interchangeable. If you want to check out the other stem threads there is phatpiggie and winegums threads.
Basically what I'm saying is that you can't go wrong no matter what you buy (except the glass in spite of its admirers) and you will probably add to it as you go along.
For water I have a wong body from winegums (needs no condenser) and for the M use a 14mm female adapter with a screen so the M doesn't fall through. Not a perfect fit but good enough. I have a spinning wood mp but don't use it.

Ha! Another HOT AVB HEATER? Your dog too?!

It's hilarious sometimes with my dog. He's an old 18 lb. mini-schnauzer. I don't force him to eat it, but whenever I put a pinch in his bowl, he cleans it up with vigor. So I guess he likes it. I really have to start separating my indica/sativa avb for his sake. Sometimes we go out and he just starts randomly sprinting all out, which he NEVER does at his age now when he's sober. It's a joy to see. Other times he just wants to be alone in a dark, quiet area.

I'm trying to figure out how the OG can taste that much better than the Ti Woody? Especially considering the Ti tip cools down faster, you'd think it would be the other way around, or they would taste the same but the Ti would retain it for longer. I've noticed that taste evaluations get very subjective and personal;

I suppose the OP will need to try at least 2 vapcap models to determine which one suits him better.

Bingo and bingo. Totally subjective and I'm not inclined to disagree when someone expresses their preference. If someone says they like the Ti for flavor, I believe them. I'm the last person who thinks he can identify different flavors, strains, notes, blah blah blah. I love red wine, but I can't tell the difference between a cab and merlot or a cheap vs. expensive wine. Same for bud. I do however, notice the flavor more from my OG than from my Ti Woody S. I can't say to what degree, but enough to say I prefer the glass. And that's not to say I don't like the Ti. I definitely do and would recommend it. It could be similar to drinking a nice liquor out of a glass vs. a metal cup for some people. And I would second that the OP needs to try at least two to really figure it out.

Either the glass just got a bit weak from heat cycles or more likely I didn't get the dome side right on the CCD when putting it back in. But really, I don't see any reason any more to remove it for cleaning.

But taste goes quickly and I look mostly for effect and efficiency in getting that effect and so far IME, I do better with the OG.

I can get my Ti Woody to work, but I need to be very careful with it lest it char the top layer of herb (and talk about taste..ugh). The OG is a no brainer for me to use. Just works perfect. Maybe its my Ti Woody, maybe its just me and different people prefer different things.

Cheers

With you again haha. I'm not going to remove my screen anymore when cleaning based on your post. Thanks for the advice. The OG works easier for me as well. Just load, heat for the same count every time and with the strains I have on hand, the results are very consistent. First cycle I usually get one puff of visible vapor. Cycles 2 through 4 are all clouds.

I think what really makes a difference too is the quality of the bud. I have some sticky flower on hand, from good sized nugs that really deliver. Previously, I had some average, somewhat dry bud and the results weren't quite as good.

Side note: We all know there's an official VapCap thread, so I hope this thread doesn't turn into something deemed redundant. But I have to say, it's kind of nice to have a slower thread where I can actually read and respond to posts from experienced users. The other thread is super cluttered with so many compatibility and new user questions, mostly answered with incredible patience by Squiby, and sometimes I just want to block all of that out and read about things that are being discussed here. Kudos to you all!

SoI got the M. I am wondering if I could just get a wong stem and use that with water or without. Or will I miss not having a proper mouthpiece - in which case I want a wong body more. I want to set it and forget it no matter how I want to use it.
I'm not exactly sure how getting a body needs no condenser - but I am sure it will sink in.

If you want to use your M with one midsection and use it with water and you don't want to slide a soft mp over the end, get a VonG stem. Or you can get a VonG body and mp. You absolutely can use a VonG dry or with water. I have a Ti VonG Vapcap that I have never used with water. It offers a wider more robust feel in your hand versus the sleeker straight midsection. It's just personal preference. Both will be nice. Lots of people anguish over their first Vapcap choice, but really, they are all very nice. Most people get one, then another. The modular aspect is attractive and addictive. Pick one. If you're anything like the rest of us, you'll be back for more.

All Dynavap Vapcaps use condensers. The condenser tube is a heat exchanger that condenses and cools the vapor as it travels from the tip to the mp. In addition, the condenser tube provides an easy to clean component and therefore keeps your midsection material clean free of residue. You never have to clean your wood midsection or your mp, if you have one, because no vapor comes in contact with them.

Phattpiggie makes after market bodies and stems. Some are made to specs to fit onto the Dynavap condensers. Others are longer custom lengths and do not fit the Dynavap condensers, so he fits them with a built in condenser.

Winegums also makes aftermarket stems and bodies. He builds his with a stainless steel core so you can use them with the Dynavap condenser or not. Vapor does not touch the inside of the wood midsection because they are lined with SS and you just swab out the inside steel to clean.
