Any suggestions on dispensaries, and other things to do in Colorado, especially during 4/20 is appreciated.

Avoid the dispensaries downtown. They are incredibly crowded and you will wait for hours to get in. They seen to be a little higher than the others as well.

We only went to a few when we were out there but I got good service and product at Starbuds.

Do be sure to hit up Voodoo Donuts while youre out there. There is also a decent dispensary two doors down from Voodoo Donuts.

Never thought there would be lines.
Thank you very much!

Waiting hours to get thru a dispensary in Colorado....hardly very common in my few years experience.

Can't speak on many recreational dispensaries, as I shop medical, but 14er in Boulder, and High Level Health (2 locations in Denver area) are 2 rec places I can recommend. HLH has great flower and carries one of my favorites, Cannibus Maximus concentrates(the LA Chocolate live resin I have here states 13.5% terpene content, super terpy!). Pickup a free copy of The Westward for coupons, ads, etc., for tons of dispensaries. Also check the dispensaries website to see other deals, for example HLH has 20% off concentrates on Saturday. Most places will have like Monday 10% off edibles, Tuesday Get an eight for $25, and so on. And also check the dispensaries Instagram or other social media websites to see pics of current product, prices, deals, etc. Alot of rec folks have been hyping up House Of Dankness in Denver(recreational only) but I found their concentrates, although stable and nice appealing color, look, to be lite on terps...just my :2c:.

Oh, in Boulder, you can also try Boulder Wellness. They have some great flower and also carry a good variety of various brands of top notch concentrates. I'd hate to see my monthly costs if I shopped Rec though....can you say TAXES, lol.

I avoid Liv Well and The Green Solution, many others too, but those stand out to me.

Be responsible, take sunscreen(Yes, Colorado gets lots of sun, drink lots of water to stay hydrated, remember that it is not legal to vape/smoke in public, and have a great trip.

I really appreciate all the helpful information.

Any experience with private lounges where consumption is allowed? I found several on-line that seem interesting.

Do you know of a dispensary that has Skunk #1 or Sweet Island Skunk?

You may enjoy the crowds more at the lounges/clubs than I did, but to me, it was primarily made up of people who I have no desire to chill with, CHADS, heady wanna-be bros, Juggalos, etc. But obviously some people do like that environment, so offense if thats what youre looking for.

At High Level Health in Denver, we grew Island Sweet Skunk. Don't know if in stock. Also may have it in Rosin or other concentrate form possibly. They just placed(1,2,or3) in multiple categories in the THC Classic fwiw.

I had to google what you meant. No, not my scene. Thanks for the heads up.

As of 3 weeks ago, High Level Health in Denver had some. Just came across their Instagram page

Island Sweet Skunk

Although with their Bio-Star testing currently at over 35% THC...I would def snag some of that too!

it sure seems like it would be hard to be visiting Denver this week and not dip your toe into some sweet delicious concentrates... :ko:

I am heading to Denver in a few weeks as well, it will be my first visit.

Um... I am going to be stuck downtown most the time for work, so was disheartened to hear all downtown dispensaries are to be avoided. Are there any that are worth a damn? Really mostly interested in concentrates.

I don't expect lines to be an issue when I go next month, but I am imagine they were lines of hell at most dispensaries over 420 week.

Depends what time and what day you go. Sometimes I find early morning shopping to be the least crowded. Find out what time the place you want to shop at opens and be there when the doors open, some dispensaries even have "early bird" specials(10% off or such) from say 9am to 11am.

@FlyingLow -- Check out High Level Health at 970 Lincoln St, Denver, CO 80203
or their other shop at 2020 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206. The Lincoln Ave store carries Cannibus Maximus(I assume you arent shopping medical) brand Live Resin, HighTerpeneFullSpectrumExtract, shatter, and some nicely made in-house rosin made from award winning cannibus. I don't have any financial stake in this, but I used to work for them but still highly recommend them, good people. When I am back in town, I always try to pick up a few grams of the Cannibus Maximus HTFSE. Never been disappointed yet. I think on Saturdays they have 20% concentrates, which brings Maximus gram price down to like $48 out the door, maybe a lil more since you're from out of state, but not much.
Well worth it for QUALITY, imo. Lots of $25-35/g SHIT out there I promise you.

Do any restaurants or private clubs offer full weed infused meals, like the show Bong Appetite? I know public places are a no-no, but are there any private venues that can accomodate?

If not, I'd like to hire a great local chef one night to prepare a grand meal. How might I go about finding a private chef? Please PM if you know of anyone that is capable.

I don't get many opportunities to go to Colorado (this is my first visit since legalization), and am wanting the full experience... I do not want to go cheap and will pay top dollar.

Also I do not plan on traveling with glass, I am going to need to find a place for an inexpensive/disposable oil rig. (I'd also be happy to gift this to a local FC'er when I depart).

All additional advice is welcomed!

Just booked a plane for Aug so let's keep this thread alive! We'll be spending a few days I'm Denver then out plan is to stay in the mountains to just soak up the nature. I plan to drive to a few dispensaries before heading out of town so more recs from around the city would be great!

Also, does anyone know of a "rent-a-vape" program that anyone offers or would any member be willing to lend one for a week? After looking through the vapes on planes thread it looks like I could get away wi packing my Air but I would rather not risk it.

I'm coming to manitou springs soon..
Any good recommendations for Me????

Also I'm bringing a new woody vapcap, will I be able to take it home again?

And when I bring it, should I be carry on or checked luggage???

Just clean it with ISO and bring it in carry on. If asked (you won't be) it is for vaporizing natural herbs.
I've traveled with a crafty 7-8 times with no issues.

There are two main dispensaries there, Maggie's Farm and Emerald Fields.

I myself have only shopped at Maggie's Farm and have been very happy with their full selection of flower, concentrates, and edibles.

I have not yet shopped at Emerald Fields but after looking at their menu today, my plans are to pay them a visit this weekend!
