Boundless CF / CFX / CF-Hybrid

My wife's CFX on/off switch took a hike yesterday. Emailed Randy at puffitup and I printed a return label minutes later. These folks are all I could ask for in service and prices are great. I always hope to never have an issue with a product but if I do, this is the kind of service attitude I want.

Just got my CF yesterday from puffitup with the discount + free WPA. So far a very nice unit and with the WPA it was amazing after I broke by bong out of deep storage.
Ordered 2 sets so I could give one to a friend trying to kick the combustion route. Ordered the ELB's after checking this thread out.
Couple quick questions, probably been covered in here but the thread is huge and others just checking in here may want to know.
1. Does the little elb screen just act as a cap for the larger elb screen and doesn't stay in when i put it in the chamber? The little dome with the screen on the mp fits nicely in the large elb ,but not with that little elb screen in it. So thats how I've used it so far.
2. That little dome with the screen in the mouth piece needs no mods in the newer models, just toss the honey coated tiny screen in the chamber now and then, Correct?
3 The screen at the bottom of the chamber. Is that needed when using the ELB's? Or redundent. Is it needed with the oil/wax chamber in case I go without it then want to dabble here and there.
Thanks in advance.

See the following article for the instructions and a video on the Boundless CFX modification: http://420vapezone.com/boundless-cf-cfx-modifications/

1. The top ELB can be used either a cap for the larger ELB chamber or as replacement for the Boundless mouth piece screen.
2. On the newer Boundless mouthpieces the screen is larger. The mouthpiece modification is not needed, but some still make the modification.
3. With the ELB's, I kept the bottom chamber screen in place.

Sent mine in after 6 months getting a RMA or return label. Will say I did not try for 3 months because family problems but had tried 3 months before even. Might be a blessing since my casing seems cracked by top fastener, (screw) and never removed any. We shall see. Worst CS ever for a vape or otherwise so far for warranty work.

I love Oakland SC for Mighty for their service compared to this anytime.

I did get a return label 6 months later this week.

That's strange. I RMA a CF and a CFV and both times it went pretty smooth. Although both times they did ship out new ones without telling me. Total time from my first email to it shipping out was about 3 business days.

The CFX is becoming very popular among the local Patient population.
I have a loaner CFX that I let patients try, and over the last weeks it has come up on quite a few of the patients wish lists.
I just took a round trip voyage with mine, and the going was smooth on just one filling ( I was at 390º)
I forgot how convenient the little buzz was!

The CF is becoming quite popular at my house. :sherlock:
Took my first spin with the concentrate container last night and was blown away with how many pulls I was getting with just a dab in the lid rim. Big satisfying rips with out any of the burning or splatter that the coil on my V2 does and definitely does the dab better than the S&B Plenty with the small dosing capsules for concentrates does with equal amount of material.
Happy all around with this unit so far.

@DeeCee5 - Thanks for the response. I put the small elb screen in place of the mouthpiece screen and noticed a bit more airflow. At least i think I did. I put the original back on for now cause I want to stay on
the same experience with my friend who I bought a CF for. I'll bring up the mp mod after he's gotten his feet wet.

SloJimFizz,
How is the quality and longevity on the devices? It seems like the daily user sends it in once year. Currently on the fence between the CF or CFX.

Go with the cfx if you prefer exact temp control..if your looking for a stealthily vape go with the cf...they are both identical performance wise..final choice comes down to size and temp control..if you can live without temp control and prefer the smaller size..it's the cf...or spend the extra $40 and get the cfx

Do I lose a year of warranty purchasing from puffitup? The CFX description says it only has a 2 year warranty while the manufacturer website lists it as 3 years.

Thanks

What mods do yall use out of the 3 - http://420vapezone.com/boundless-cf-cfx-modifications/

This article was written before they modified the mouthpiece but i know some people use the ELB screens still.

The only mod thats of less use now is the Arizer Q screen mod - it came into play in the original batches of CF's last year where the filter in the mouthpiece constricted the airflow too much. As of July/16 it was updated and is fine now.

I still highly suggest the ELB mod though, as it keeps your CF/X very clean, makes it easy to swap bowls anytime, and you also have a filter in the mouthpiece this way that collects honey, and after about a dozen ELB loads, you'll have enough honey for a sweet free dab. As Cl4ad3 was saying, the ELB system works especially well with the WPA because you can uncrew the tiny, easy to clog, filter on the WPA and use in the ELB top-hat instead, which doesn't clog in the slightest during even big rips.

Elb mod is a must have..load up extra elb for on the go, keeps your chamber clean, collects honey for u..the only negative I have found from the elb is you have to use higher temps ..I personally like my cfx at 380 w the elb but my brother who has to see vapor needs it at 415 to get the vapor output he wants..

Ordered my CF yesterday from Namastevapes using the 420dealz code and got a great deal. Ships from Australia (I'm in New Zealand) so should be here in a couple of days. Looking forward to giving this baby a run.

Got mine from Puffitup with the water pipe adapter and a sweet grinder for $109 with their 420 sale. That's a $15 piece, one that all cf/cfx users should have. Really fun addition.
