Almost there...
Heaters have landed!! Very fast shipping for a change and before Chinese New years!

I have tried them as a direct replacement but the board does not supply enough power to the heater.
It was great for a 30 minute heat up and awesome blue vapor...but that is not what i am about!
I think the new heaters resisitance is too high for the control board.

So i took it all apart again and am using a dimmer control, similar to the E-Nano controller.
I can go from blue to combustion using this controller, so i am not set!
Unfortunately it looks like a mess... So once again i am thinking of harvesting the guts and making a nice wooden body for it and possibly isolate the heat core with sand, not sure though...

I am also considering harvesting the E-Nail digital controller off my Sub and turning the Cloud into a Cloud+++! LOL!

As it stands now, it works like a bomb! I can see a very light reddish glow from the heater at higher temps and it can glow red hot as well...Not recommended!
Without feedback control the temp climbs a bit so it is full manual control for now.
Feels great to be blowing massive, tasty clouds again!

Once i have a stable configuration, i will post pics!
For now this is NOT a direct replacement!

I still miss my EVO and regret trading it... This will do for now!

I will connect the digital control to the Cloud today for further testing!

All hooked up and testing has begun!
At present i am at 763F on the dial, which is 406C!! So pretty hot!
Herb is just starting to brown nicely, so i think i will experiment a bit more around this temp and see what i can do!
So far the digital feedback is very nice and at least repeatable.
Heater seems to be holding up well so far.
No more experimenting for a bit as i am in Cloud heaven for the next few hours....
Will try and do a video later this weekend!

I am loving the Auberins RDK-200 controller on the updated Cloud+ heater!
Precise digital control, every session is the same and it is awesome!
As a medical user i am always using high temps and riding the frontiers of combustion on the regular, so having this precise repeatable control on this beast is amazing!
I have it set at 763F (406C) and the ABV is perfect every time.
It hits like a hammer and the effects are super long lasting!

I can't wait to design my own casing for it!

Here is a quick video of it in action!
The bottom skirt was left off for testing and i think it looks pretty cool!
You can see the two white heater wires and the brown thermocouple wire as well.


Is this the first digital VapeXHale product? LOL! Who knows what the next generation will bring us!

Almost there...
Heat up time is at 10 minutes to reach 765F and it is ready to go!
No waiting required as the unit is fully heat soaked.
So far the unit medicates very effectively, taste is very good but gets way better if i lower the temps more so no go there for now. Consistent ABV color, day to day with the digital controller!

So simple and effective!
Makes me want an Evo again so bad...:freak:

So i have settled on 765F as my favorite temp!
Requires one stir and the ABV is a nice brown!

Flavor is still very good for the first hit, second hit is worse but bearable.
The Frankenvape has become my heaviest hitter with small loads!
Insane clouds off 0,05g and crazy strong effects.

Bruce Banner and Headband 707 are on tonight's menu!

Please i need help my friend @lazylathe !

Long story short I traded my cloud+ for a Plenty and sadly the Cloud+ doesn't seems to resist to shipping.... it turn on but doesn't turn green, doesn't heat anymore. The guy told me the bamboo was slightly pushed down since when he received it it can't stay on its stand... is this able to break the heater? is there any repair we can do?

It needs to be opened to see what has gone wrong first.
If you just get the solid red light, your one heater cable may have come loose.

Open it up and take some pics and PM me!

I have an original Vapexhale Cloud plus (not the Evo model)
unfortunately after many years of use the top of the gong has come off (bamboo has broken).

This is very distressing as this is my primary vaporizer of 5+ years.
I was wondering if you had could give me some insight on what to do in this situation.

How easy is it to replace the bamboo?
Where do you get the bamboo glass replacement?
Can you help?

Any help would be very appreciated, thank you :(.

What you describe is most likely the end of your Cloud. However, we do have a lot of talented glass blowers here that may be able to make one up for you!

I have already contacted VapeXHale and they will not supply me with any bamboos to repair old units. They want to sell new EVO's, so that makes sense.

I would hit up @Oregonglassblower to see if he can help with the bamboo!

If you can get that made, repair is very simple!

Miss the good 'ol OG straight HT days too of evolver and swagger, vertigo...

I'll gladly send it to you but likely the shipping will be more expensive from me (since I'm in Northern Canada). Let me know if you want me to get an estimate for you anyways (I see @CheeseSandwich is also in Canada, but likely not as remote :)) You might as well get the cheapest option since there are 2 available and you are the first to request one :)

Remove the eight screws from the sides of your unit
Slide out the insides towards the bottom of the Cloud
The two halves will pop apart, the lower one is easy to put back together, the top part is a bitch!
Remove the insulation and remove the broken bamboo and heater, KEEP ALL INSULATION!
To remove the heater, first try twisting it on the bamboo, a very slow process because you do not want to damage the heater or wires! I have always had luck using the twist method.
If that does not work then a soak in some vinegar to soften the material may help, takes a day or so.

Once the old bamboo is out, slide the new bamboo in. Of course it will be very loose...
Now comes the fun part! Not really...

You either need to finds a non toxic furnace cement to keep the heater attached to the bamboo.
Or what i have been doing in using small lengths of stainless steel wire to wedge between the bamboo and heater together. Or use a rectangular bit that you place a slight bend in for pressure.

Reassemble with all the insulation and make sure the halves fit together perfectly and that the insulation is solid with no air gaps.

I then use some very thin wire to cinch the top section together to make reassembling it easier.

Slide the internals back into the sleeve and carefully replace the 8 shell screws.
You have to do them loose at first and then tighten then evenly so that the core is centered in the sleeve!

Plug in and enjoy!
