just got a yocan torch today..............awesome BUT my istick 60w mod wont fit.

Why won't it fit? You should just need to take the atomizer side completely off, and then screw on your mod, and then put the atomizer back on

Can someone who owns the Yocan Torch tell me what other atomizers and what other battery mods are usable with the Torch's base? Is it possible to use a yocan torch as a 'water pipe adapter' for the saionara/divinetribe attys with an evic vtc?

No luck with the sai. Regarding the DT, I doubt it would work due to the airflow restrictions. The best coil I have found is the yocan cerum ceramic donut paired with my mod at about 14w.

I'm curious, has anyone bought a Torch or any other yocan products from Fasttech? Bought an Evolve Plus for closer to the MSRP so the price cut is appealing. I'm still a bit worried about whether or not it's the real deal, even though they label it as authentic for $30. Otherwise I'll probably wait for the $50 Yocan USA listing to come back in stock.

Thanks for the link @waxdab23, ended up ordering a torch using the 20% off code. Decided to pick up a cerum donut coil as well since I've been digging the QDC in the Evolve Plus, YocanUSA was nice enough to include a ceramic coil cap too when I asked. Bit front-heavy for the trusty Joda rig (hence the stabilizing finger) but it worked well for the first dab, can see the appeal of the ceramic donut coils. Love the carb button on the steel cover as well

Just so Dab HAppy!
When it is clean the flavor is pretty good, but no where near as close to a quartz banger IMHO. The coils and donut attys get really gunked up and are hard to get really clean again so once you've used it your doomed to some burnt taste no matter what if you ask me. It may not be much, but it gets stronger. Flavor still was not much of an issue to me as it usually tastes good still with fresh wax in it, the flavor will degrade quickly each hit until you reload again. The reason I ended up stepping away from this one is because it takes 3-5 hits for me to get the effect I would get off one dab.

I am sure others will chime in about great taste, but keep in mind most of us using this are not using real enails to compare flavor too. I have been using a quartz banger for monthes and just stepped up to a SiC dish that I use with a torch so I feel that I have some experience of good flavor from quality products.

Thanks mate as i suspected. Cheers for the detailed response

3 weeks in, same coil...I can't say anything bad about it. And for $30 at a local smoke shop? This is truly an awesome stealth enail that fits any glass, or use it straight up by itself. I have a ton of stuff, i know gimmick "cloupoor M4" spelled wrong on purpose, game changer. Buy now

Any domestic online sellers in the U.S. for replacement QDC coils these days? Can't find them anywhere.

YocanUSA seems to be a legit vendor, although I prefer to order from what I believe is their sister company (vapepensales, same return address and packaging from both websites) because they give the option of buying coil caps as well.

I've found that the new magneto coil can fit in the Yocan torch when the carb button is removed, although this requires covering the hole with your finger. Works well and I'm lazy so I love the ease of loading, however I need to find something else to carb with because the vapor can get rather hot

Do you guys think the current level of restriction in the torch is necessary to keep the coil hot enough? I've been thinking about ways to increase the flow a little bit, maybe taking a file to the atomizer and base holes like in the pic (hopefully I'll be neater with a file than I was with the trackpad). At the same time, I wouldn't want to cool the coil down to the point it doesn't vaporize

Yes, I believe this is the case.

That's a shame, hopefully they can figure a way around it in future models. I love the convenience of the torch but I do wish it flowed a little bit more sometimes.

Have you guys had any experience with getting rid of the deposits left over by some wax on the quartz coils? It doesn't seem to be melted resin goop and scraping only works so much with the dentist pick tool I've got.

Dip the coils in a very shallow pool of 91% Iso (like on a smalll dish) then blot repeatedly with a twisted piece of paper towel.
Using a rounded toothpick will do the same as a dental pick with 2 advantages.... less potential damage to coils, and also the wood will help by hanging tighter to deposits you catch.
I do not personally find the torch restrictive... look under the heater assembly (where the coil screws in), and then the round heater base that screws off of the entire torch assembly and make sure it too is clean.
While the video at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vaporbrothers-dabbler-eleven-pen.8595/page-3#post-368177 is about a different heater coil.... the principle is identical!

Is there a coiless open bucket with dab tool/carb cap atomizer that can be attached to this thing?

Ive been looking for a standalone ultra portable enail like this, meant only to be securely attached onto the joint of your own water piece. No full kits with big bulky batteries and mini e-rig/ bubbler attachments

There is a donut atty but no bucket style....

I think the airflow is restricted so the material in the coil can't be sucked out the top holes of the cap too easily. Seems like the coils don't have a problem with not getting hot enough. Tried the stock battery before switching to VW on a few different batteries and the thing would glow red, that's why went VW. Doubt the airflow is limited because the coil doesn't get hot.

Would like to go TC by getting a Ti or SS coil into the torch that can be temp controlled from my eleaf mini or VTwo. I've seen talk of W9's KISS for Globes working (2nd link), but that they don't get good/any airflow from below (also Source Orb 4's may also fit but have worse airflow)?

It looks like the Yocan coils have an air path through the bottom of the 510 post at the bottom of the atomizer. I haven't been able to find out if the W9 KISS Globe atomizers have that same bottom of the post airpath. The normal w9 KISS atomizers already around don't work in the yocan, doesn't seem like the 510 post is long enough to make the electrical connection and doesnt have airflow like the yocan atomizer if it did heat. If the W9 KISS Globe atomizers have the same air path as the yocans buying some for the torch would be in order. Do they?

The W9 Doughnut ones here sure seem like they have a pin to the top airpath. Might have to cut a 1-2mm horizontal slot across the bottom?

Or if anybody knows of atomizers with Ti or SS that fit the Torch with either the glass or metal cap and have the airflow through the bottom of the 510 post like the yocan ones?

TC in yocan torch would be nice...

The stock battery on my Torch has been getting a little short-lived recently, so I ended up springing for a removable battery mod. Not the most compact combination with the mech mod but so far it heats up quite nicely.

Have you had any problems with oil being sucked out the cap? I feel like the only time I get splatter on the glass dome is when I hit it without letting the dab melt on the coil first, otherwise it's just resin build-up. I am using a cerum coil though, so it's just a hole in the top as opposed to two in the sides. Now that I'm not limited by old batteries I might order a second coil base and try some filing

I've bought 2 of these in San Diego, they're $26.99 at a local vape shop. You can use the Evolve Plus coils with the Torch. I've also got the Evolve Plus and the Magneto, as well as the cerum atomizer. Don't waste your time with the magneto period. I've used the following 3rd party batteries effectively with the torch: Aspire CF Sub Ohm, Vision Spinner, Aspire NX-75 (dials in nicely), Target VTC from Vaporesso, and that little VE "nugget". The batteries from the Torch, Evolve Plus and Magneto are all interchangeable for me. I use the Evolve Plus coils on the Magneto- the "miracle coil" in the Magneto sucks, do not buy it, unless it's $16.99. The Torch however, is a massively small in size, and price (in my area apparently, and they're legit.). This thing looks stupid, impractical and kind of San Antonio spurs-like...but for the cost, it can't be beat. The QDC coils do get gunked up, burn them at 25watts, they're clean, and hot (careful) in a couple of minutes tops. They're supposed to be self cleaning, and to an extent they are, but you're not going to get the most pure taste from a QDC with some mileage on it. But it WILL work perfectly as an every day device on some glass, and it WILL make you choke and get WRECKED if you want. It's important to keep it clean. Nobody ever does, myself included, but burn the wax, shatter, whatever, off when you're done like a BBQ. Nobody's gonna do that, I don't, but I should. This is a great device, under like $45...the "Thor" is pretty awesome too.

What other advantages are there in using a vape mod for the battery besides wattage control?

I would rather not have to hold the button down while I hit it.

And has anyone ever tried using a different atomizer with the stock battery?
Are there any non-yocan coils that also work in the Torch?
