It took me about two/three days of continuous improvements to get my best routine down. First night was ok (on par with Flowermate V5.0s), 2nd night was great (on par with my Pax), 3rd night made me wonder why I liked my Pax as much as I did.

Are you soaking it in iso a lot? Or really laying it on? That'd be the only reason I could see to cause issues like that.
I never even touched iso to the seal. I use a q-tip with iso on the dirty glass areas only.

Some strains get low vapor, but some get massive vapor. Maybe bud hydration level or density plays a role.

Absolutely yes. For all vapes, the dryer the better. And density should be taken care of in the grind. Fine grind gets infinitely better results for me than medium.

:hmm::shrug:Weird about the lid seal though...

For the lids when you're cleaning make sure to wipe downwards and parallel with the seal.

I've noticed that if you wipe perpendicular to the seal you can push it up and eventually it could fall off.

I've also had a couple of times where I've accidentally pushed a razor underneath the seal and that caused it un-glue from the lid in a small spot.

I've been careful with that lid since it happened and I haven't had any issues with my seals since.

I have found some dry stuff like my Purple Cadillac can get pushed in there without a grind and vapes great too. I prefer it that way because easier to flip over the bud than to stir and not have it all over.
Seems wird that dryer is better since we are essentially trying to get vapor from the herbs.

I think maybe after the iso to dry I used a shirt to dry and that maybe did it.
Ill find some food grade glue and fix it when it gets worse till then Ill baby it.

Have not been here for a while but is it normal for my FF2 to have very, very limited draw? I mean I have to pull till my head hurts!

Check your mouthpiece screen and check to see that the holes in your heating chamber aren't clogged.

The draw should feel a bit tight when the vapor path is properly sealed, but if it seems to have gotten tighter or is way too tight it's probably a clogged screen somewhere. :2c:

It often makes my throat feel like a lump in it.
You might be grinding too fine and or packing too tight, but in general there is a lot of draw resistance.

It should be hard to pull, that means it's working right. Unless you have "weak" lungs (not trying to be derogatory, just don't know how else to say it) it shouldn't be an issue at all, and it definitely shouldn't be painful.

More important than herb getting stuck in that screen, but resin buildup would be my main suspect.

I am using shatter but ya the draw is very tight and I need to heat it up for at least a minute or so - but the clouds do come!

Ill try with shatter, I tried with cbd slab and never saw any vapor, but did taste a slight metallic cherry flavor.

As mentioned, it has draw restriction, but not to a "head-hurting" level.

Remove and clean out the mouthpiece. Debris builds up in there quickly and can exacerbate draw restriction.

I'd wager you're drawing too hard which makes the draw feel tighter and cools your heating chamber down too quickly which is the reason you have to heat for so long.

Using concentrates I only have to heat for 3 seconds before taking a draw and I get real clouds on my first draw.

Try out drawing slower and consistently and see if performance improves

I've never hit that one, actually!

Oh sorry! Could have sworn I've seen you in that thread...

Anyways I ordered the jet black version and am dying in anticipation. First convection unit ever. Gotta see for my self what the fuzz is all about!

Ok, so you heat it for only 3 seconds then start your draw. How long is your draw? I do maybe 15 second draws and if I draw after 3 seconds I will get nothing.

And thanks, I will try cleaning the mouthpiece, do you dip it in rubbing alcohol?

I'd watch Vape Critic's review and tips video. He (and there are others) gives pretty detailed instructions and tips/tricks.

One thing I do is cover as much of the air intake as possible so there's as little cool air as I can manage.

Dry herb I can see where newcomers would have cloud issues at first, but the FF2 with concentrates is like plug and play. A few cigar puffs to melt the shatter, then rip away.

And not to insult your intelligence, but it is on the concentrate setting?

So... I've been using FF2 for few months (got it immedeately after release in EU) and I fell in love with it. It's exactly what I want for personal use .

Since november I've used it mainly with concentrates (20% CBD, without THC) and lately I've been having some issues with it... I wasnt getting any clouds, huge draw resistance, didn't even feel much effect of my herbs and concentrates. So I nearly started believing the 'FF2 is bad" memes. I read about it again and realised it probably needed cleaning (I clean it after few bowls with tissue soaked in iso alcohol), but I didn't want to disassemble it.

Man this thing was clogged up as hell, more than half of the holes were clogged.
I cleaned it with toothbrush soaked in iso, got most of the concetrate residues out but lot of the holes were stille clogged. So I got needle and cleaned it with it, I was lucky I had so thin needle that got into the holes. After a while all the holes were glowing again.

I tried it with herb on medium (104%) and I was like holyshitdude. Almost no draw ressistance, choked my lungs after first draw, huge clouds.
Medicated AF from like 3 draws.
This thing is a monster.

I find that sativa strains work way better in the FF2 for some reason - bigger clouds, more hits per bowl, and of course more psychoactive effects. I always keep an indica on hand for when I need help sleeping, though. Like right now I have some Ultra Purple Kush, but it doesn't vape very well in the FF2. Then I loaded it with some Sour Chem and got 10 massive hits off the same amount of material.

Yeah some strains dont work well for me either, whereas others make clouds that look like I hit a bong almost when hitting till heater turns off.

I used my new bong and realized the difference between vaping and smoking in effects.

Sativa and indicas work equally great for me. I am not the cloud type. I measure the effectiveness against the great evo and it seems not to lack.
