It's good to receive news!

I have a heat wand with 18 months and it although I have more vapes, the VHW is my favorite, for its taste, for its ritual, for everything that gives me with my pieces of glass! If it were not for its delicacy and that it is necessary a piece of water for work ! for my would be the perfect vape.

I'm recently Transcending from the glass to the wood .. surely Sacrifice taste for durability ... but as a favorite experience always elect the glass

Nice to see this thread picking up!
Too right! If I get meself a Vrip in near future, I will mak sute to come here and REPRESENT!

There dont seem to be very many Vrip owners who actually visit or view this thread these days, to even shoot questions out to to get a broader market opinion, such as favorite water tools, joint size bowls, etc etc, which is a shame.

Or lack thereof.
I think there may be a few online places that sell Vrip stuff but not many.
It's more of a word of mouth type of Cannasseur Vape! LOL!

Need to make a video of mine in action soon!
You are right about that. There are VERY limited options for buying in europe. Just 2 places as far as I am aware- Alchimia and Hortitiec, both with most options out of stock.

Verdampftnochmal used to stock it, but no longer. They would be ideal for me if they did, great prices and free shipping, no customs.

But then I also do things properly, with spares (screens, tip seals etc), so I would kind of have to go to Vrip no matter what.
If only shipping and customs was not so much extra that is all!

I recently shipped a vaporizer to the UK and valued it at $100 CAD and the guy paid no duties at all.
May be an option to talk to Mark about?
Shipping unfortunately was quite expensive and there is no way to get around that aspect...

It sounds like he might have got lucky, I believe it does happen sometimes. To be sure though, the declared value needs to be below £15.
Many people do this, Im not sure if Vriptech do however, but I know they take steps to ensure we arent hit with the full whack which is still appreciated.

Regarding the shipping cost, I was just surprised it was so high at $68. I thought about $35 was standard or even less with some companies.

That is what i recently paid to ship to the UK, $63,68 with tracking and insurance.
It's the same for us Canadians that are interested in the Herborizer from France...
We even get charged a usual $30 to ship from the US and that is right next door...

#firstworldproblems for sure!

Thanks for the info. It must be that certain larger companies have a deal with the couriers or something, like the essential oils I get from the US- shipping is only $24.50.

Shipping from france to Canada/USA is habitually around 25€ without insurance and 27€ with a 200€ insurance, a lot cheaper than the 63.68CAD (around 50€) you speak about... although shipping delay is 1-2 weeks.

When I bought the Supreme 3 vaporizer from Ed G, shipping to UK was only $35.
But as you have just possibly revealed, the shipping cost may depend on the value of the insurance.

My Vrip order is over $300, so I dont know if it may be cheaper shipping witn a smaller order total.
However, @lazylathe 's vape he shipped was not insured for that much, so I guess that doednt explain it.

The Vrip is definitly able to do microdosing very well.... if you use another bowl than the 4.2, I used a cheap bowl made for smokers and it was working very well (as well for concentrates!), maybe @splitz can share...

Any more details you could provide on this would be most appreciated. These days, my VHW/VCB4.2/PerK setup is not seeing as much use as I would like, solely because I find I can only consume massive amounts with it at a time, and I'm trying to keep my tolerance on the low side. It's still my all time favorite vaporizer to use as far as flavor, fun, and assurances of a healthy air path. But I find that a critical mass of ground herb is needed to get the heat buildup working right. I would love to figure out how to microdose instead

With my wand i can extract from a few crumbs on the screen to full massive bowls.
I set my wand at the 7th indent on the wheel and find this is perfect for my use.
Very quick extraction times but i do find i need to stir and with every stir the ABV becomes a perfect medium brown!

This is my routine:
Turn on Wand and place in holder to heat up. I do not own the holder anymore so use a glass cup.
Grind up your herb nice and fine. I use a fine plate in a Kannastor GR8TR but any fine grind works.
Ensure your bowl and WT are clean.
Load up a bit in your bowl and sit back and surf the net for 10 more minutes!
The wand stays in the glass at all times since turning on.
There should be a dull glow to the end of the wand. After a good 15 to 20 minute warm up, you are good to go.
Place wand into the holder and wait for 5 seconds, get your lungs ready.
Slow inhale first till the vapor reaches the top of your water tool, stop and exhale.
Now hit it like it stole your weed money!

With this technique i can vaporize any load without changing the temp on the wand.

If you do not get any vapor with this technique, your wands heater may be defective!
Shoot off an e mail to Vrip:

Welcome back @Khantagious , I feel like we have ressurected the dead to see a name I recognise from reading this thread way back pop into the foreground again!

Thanks for stepping forward and sharing your experience and thoughts about the VHW.
Your report is largely what has held me off as my weed supply is very limited.

But I also listen to all of @lazylathe 's thoughts and suggestions with interest.
I dont know what percent mark 7 is on the dial, but I would hope to stick to about the 75/80% mark for the "blue" vapor for my allergies sake.

I dont intend to use solely the VHW, but to mix it up with the Omnivap for small microdoses with good effects.
And for me the VHW will be all for effect. Flavor is great, but it is what the falvor MEANS that matters most to me- healthy, smooth, full spectrum vapor with an awsome medicating effect!

There are 12 indents that function as markers on my dial.
That would make me at around 58% power!
Any more and my nice medium brown ABV gets too dark and the flavor is not great at those temps for me.
I am actually turning the wand down slightly during the session as it retains a lot of heat in the glass beaker i have it resting in.

I am not sure if my wand is extra powerful due to the upgraded heater(?) but an easy way to tell is to ask @splitz to carefully check his Vrip's dial. His unit is my original wand that i sold to @PPN and now is back in Canada!
Can you carefully check the dial decal for a small indent? I placed it there as my marker.
Hopefully it is still there? Would be interesting to find out where it is on the dial!

Thanks very much @splitz for that awsome little clip! I love the way the vapor forms and whisps around like a magic cauldron- it definitely reminds me of my Aromed. Something magical about it!

Did you see @lazylathe 's query about whether you can still see exactly where on the dial he marked his "cave painting" mark from past days?
Just to compare the heat output to his new wand.

I have my heart set on this vaporizer more than ever right now. Just need to clean and sell my tip top Aromed, and maybe Herborizer as well!

I like the idea of the smaller bowl for the right occasion.
I still have no idea what joint size I would opt for, I need some ideas for a water tool still as well.

But I am sure now the VHW is the vaporizer I am supposed to have, so I can start scrolling dhgate for ideas.

@Alexis - Keep the Herbo and sell the Aromed. I have an Aromed (w/rec bowls etc...now packed away for another day...). Comparable but just not the same. My "tethered" daily drivers are at present are the VHW and Roor Herborizer.

My go to for the "sweet-spot" :

@splitz Thanks for the pic! Lots of good memories with that wand!!

I see you are at indent 9 or so and i am at indent 7 or so on mine.
Mine actually needs to be turned down a touch still.

I am thinking the wire wrap does help a lot!
Still waiting on a reply from @ShadowVape for more details on my wand!

Still no reply from Matk either from the email I shot him last Sunday. He may be travelling but it could be going to spam. Thanks for confirming where the heat is dialled to on your old wand currently, I couldnt make sense from the picture.

The Vriptech boys use theirs about 75-80% I think.
It would be awsome if your new one is an improved version, but odd that this has not been mentinoned anywhere before. We definitely need a little more company representation I think on this forum!

Mark aka ShadowVape but not the REAL ShadowVape holding down the fort (lol) is my favourite CEO of any vape company.... lazy do you still have his cell phone? Pretty awesome to be able to text the CEO of vriptech in Cali! The experience and knowledge this dude has is insane!

This thread is usually pretty quiet, but Mark does come on fairly often to give updates, etc. on the the state of Vrip, and now that it's picked up again thanks to all of us i'm sure we'll see even more representation.

Now I NEED a VHW again! But this means two, because you know me...always gotta have a backup for something so fragile.

Have fun Lazy! I hate you! :argh:

I would love to know more about the wand I have now!
When I was emailing the previous owner, he told me that Mark had given him an upgraded heater since how original ceramic rod was not getting hot enough.

I asked the original owner a few times how old it was, not that I cared, all I wanted was a working wand but he avoided that question all the time...

We will all have to wait for @ShadowVape to coma and enlighten us all!!

@biohacker :rofl:
Since getting the VHW a lot of my other vapes don't taste as good anymore... most notably the Sub...
