Does doublespeak count?

"Top priority". It gives the impression somethings gonna happen ASAP but it's so vague it's almost meaningless. If everything is deemed a "top priority" then nothing really has priority.

Also "microaggression", "safe space", and "on fleek".

Well, if double speak counts, then "undocumented immigrants"

Is this a visa or green card holder that just happened to lose their wallet or purse?

No, its a spin job on illegal aliens but that's the way we do it in America these days. Forget any accuracy or precision in language that might facilitate an adult conversation on the subject. Nope....what we do these days is preemptively slap a label on an issue that favors our position on something, repeat it often enough that it redefines the subject of the debate, then sit there an wonder why nothing can be ever be accomplished on the original issue (in this case illegal aliens).

Cheers....and flame away

millenial

One of the pharmacists at work calls me a "millenial" and told me she was surprised I was wearing a watch the other day because "that's not a millenial thing."

She also compares me to her own children who are a decade younger than me but yeah, all of these shitty, trendy words and pseudo-gangster euphemisms are the fucking worst

How about phrases?
"none the less"
"needless to say"
"more or less"
"nice little time"

"Like" when used in a sentence such as....

We were talking and he was LIKE... that's BS and I was LIKE... no it's not.

And then there's the shortening of words such as Periph from Peripheral. Don't mind the shortening of words too much but the LIKE THING.....I don't like it.

I'm with you there, mate, but I don't see 'like' as a trendy word as much as I find it to be reflective of the ignorant and slothful people's inability to be able to organize thoughts and communicate them in a coherent fashion.

Just saying! LOL
