Twax flowerpot versus Sublimator

lazylathe

Almost there...
or use your own controller and coil as @PoopMachine did.

I do really like New Vape and I like Edwyn who runs it. When our dispensaries open later in the summer here in MD (from my lips to God's ear, please) I will be interested in looking at some high quality home rosin presses. I like New Vape, I like they way they talk and work. But I think I would have to go a different route on the coils and controller as I just will not get locked into a less widely used interface.

I really wish they would rethink this. They don't make the f'ing controller or coil anyway. Just change to full size XLR and standard hot runner coil pin outs. End of story.

Good point!
Think i will get some Chinese 16mm coils and the TWax accessories then!
I have a controller so may as well put it to more than one use!

This is exactly what I would say myself, except for my not being acquainted with Edwin lol

Get a coil that suits the standard D-nail and everyone else pin arrangement and voila :D

I will say that it is a PITA that they went with non-standard connections though.

So... I overnighted a coil from Auber for Saturday delivery so I could test out the Flower Pot. I had picked one up at a local shop that was for the High Five units and it seemed to work okay with my Dnail controller but I found one High Fives website that their coils are 125W and Dnail is 100W so I decided to hold off until I could get an Auber because they are 100W as well.

All in all Im impressed with the unit. You dont even have to run it THAT hot to get the flower to vaporize. You just have to cap it. You can put the cap on it and it will start producing vapor then remove the cap to "carb" it. That lets you do oil and flower at the same time without having the temperature ridiculously high.

I wish I had used a Subliminator before so I could compare them but I will say that the density of the vapor is considerably more than any dedicated vaoe I own. It seems to vaporize flower evenly and I havent had it char at all yet. It also has a huge bowl so you can put a lot of material in.

Quality of the unit is top notch but Id expect nothing less from NewVape. My one complaint and its a really minor one is that the screen tends to fall out of the bowl. Hopefully once it gets some gunk on it, it will stay in place better. I might have some bigger screens around here, I havent looked yet.

Oh yea, a flower and oil hit is insanity. Its pretty hard to function after a couple of them. The coil handle helps a lot in not burning yourself moving the head of the nail on to its stand and back. You just have to remember to let the base cool before you try to dump the spent flower out. I need to get some Happy Daddy Chommy Tongs to perform that task.

Ive gone as low as 675 on the Dnail and need to lower it even more. You dont need to stir.. you can hit it until you start to get the burnt popcorn flavor and its cached. Ive tried big loads and little ones and if I could inhale long enough, you could cache a large bowl in one hit but with just enough to cover the screen, you can completely vaporize it and still sneak and oil hit in.

Ill probably try 650 tonight.. thats higher than I normally go but its lower than what NewVape recommends but im capping it and that makes a huge difference. It whitewalls the piece within about 2 second of capping the nail.

I just got home and found mine in the mail , unfortunately they forgot to include screens and I don't have. I'll have to take one out of my other vapes to try it out. Has your started turning that rainbow color from the heat yet? Gonna start around 670f and see what that does. Ty for the base point . Appreciate it

The screens are in the bag with the instructions. I thought the same thing when I got mine. Sealed bag with instructions.

And yea, mine has turned rainbow but thats because I left it on all night.

I didn't get the instructions or screens , maybe bc I only purchased the bottom and top portion.

It happens to hit really hard , so far so good , I am liking it with flower only for the time being. Will def try a combo later. Popped a screen out from the herbalizer to use .

I'm curious to know which temp you use with your Flowerpot?

Made a DIY similar setup using ceramic instead of Titanium and I use the devil 666 temp on my controller for a big convection hit!
Been using 674F , the vape has been working great but unfortunately i cannot recommend purchasing one for the fact that my top portion keeps getting stuck to the bowl and i have to use pliers to get it apart. It has been really ruining my sessions. When i do get a hit though it is great. I contacted @NewVape710 and they said there is a .01 tolerance in space and i believe it is not enough , they stated they are not really having the problem but its happening to me. This .01 does not really take into effect that the titanium expands when heated. I am going to get them pictures over shortly but i don't know how the pictures will really help. I was offered a refund but i'd like to get this working properly as i like the hits it provides.

Bummer.
I was just toying with the idea of getting one but I don't need extra maintenance. I've already got a high maintenance vape to fill that void.

That seems like a significant flaw that I have heard mentioned on a few sites.

Yeah please lmk , i have not seen it mentioned anyplace else. I thought i may be the only 1 experiencing this problem. Although i did notice re watching paytonpenn's videos that it did not seem to slide on and off so easy but did not get stuck.

I'll look around but I saw references to joints getting tight due to buildup and heat.

Of course I could be mistaken.
It wouldn't be the first time!

Edit

I was wrong. Apologies to all.
My threads were crossed.
The references were to the Sublimator not the Flower Pot.

Hey all i posted this in the actual flowerpot thread also - Just a heads up and update on my issue i have been having with my flower pot. The owner Edwin had called me today apologizing. I personally may have just got a unit that was a few mm's off. He has been very kind in wanting to fix my problem. I had said on this forum the actual product works great if i was not having the issue with everything sticking. This so far is some of the best costumer service i have experienced having the actual owner call me and want to do right by his product so i cannot fault the company at all. Also if anyone was experiencing issues with there credit cards that will be a thing of the past as the company is changing everything up , will have a updated site and a very secure way to make payments from what i was told. They also have a few new products in the works for the flowerpot that sound amazing. I will definitely keep you all updated on the outcome of how i am taken care of with a new product. Thank you @NewVape710 .

Posts like yours makes one feel good about purchasing the flower pot...thanks for sharing pal.
Np buddy , posted some good info on the actual flowerpot thread , forgot to come back here to say I was taken care of quickly and so far this is becoming one of my favorite vapes , amazing extraction. I even got the quartz head recently . I cannot see how much better a sub can be now to be honest but I am always interested.

I'm going with the NewVape flowerpot twax for the reasons of quality, price, and manufacturer NewVape's 'FC member verified @Justpassedu' damn good reputation. The flowerpot is half as much, or less than a Sublimator, so being a poor man price often wins these battles. Sure, every now and then I will splurge and put premium gas in my tank but I am mostly a regular gas kind of guy. Also, I have respect for the way the vape critic evaluates vapes and his review made sense to me. Very excited to take it for a spin. Of course during the honeymoon/break-in period it will be my daily driver...only time and use will tell if the flowerpot is good enough to keep the top spot? One thing is certain - I am going to work the hell out of it.

:science:

Its a beast. Youre going to love it.

Volute of Vapor
Hi @PPN just saw that you have the Herborizer Ti too. Would be really nice if you would write a little comparing review.
Hi, I would be pleased but I never used both the Sublimator and the FlowerPot... so it would be sligthly off-topic..., isn't it?

...and my DIY setup (called the Volute) is not really comparable to the Flowerpot cause it uses ceramic and no Titane.
They are very similar (the Herbo Ti and the Volute) but I think the Volute give me denser low temp hits. I can load more in the Ti and this is helps for the better taste, although I love my Volute cause I can easily do double-decker with no waste and no mess. And it taste great too!

Tried the Sublimator, had the honeymoon and enjoyed the novelty and power, but it's not for me. The Flowerpot was next on my VAS, but was bumped by the Herborizer Ti. I just think the FP is more similar to a sub than Herbo Ti.

It's a great time to be alive! I only use premium gas, but that's because it's required for this vape head!

Well I just bought a Solo 2, so that's supporting Canada, my fave all time is supreme 3 so that's supporting USA. The Herborizer Ti is french, and i'm going to save my comment for my inner voice there!

The Sublimator metal is what kills my lungs...there is just something about it, maybe the ions I don't know. The Supreme is the smoothest and best vapour quality i've ever experienced, especially since you don't need to grind. The Herbo Ti is quite polished, 2 pieces plus the cable (a bowl and the injector), with nothing separating your beloved flowers from your lungs save for a screen. The FP I feel is too "manual" with the top and conduction taking over if you're not paying attention. I agree that the value is incredible, and the feedback has been great. I too trust the Vape Critic!

Looking forward to your feedback Steama, and I will do the same for the Herborizer Ti when I get it! Best of all worlds here in our little own FC world!

Hello dear community,
I would like to buy a new solid vaporisateur soon.
I own a volcano , but the steam is too dry for me and the system with the balloon I find annoying. Always get a strong cough from balloon, so vaping is no fun.
The choice is the Sublimator, FlowerPot and Herborizer.
Which of the three would you buy and what is the reason?
