Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Peace all!

Well, I have to give credit where it is due. Called to start my RMA with Davinci on my week-old IQ.

I told the customer support rep that I had adored the thing for the two days that it worked, and had even reviewed positively it here on FC, but a lot of us were having battery issues that seemed to be caused by the IQ, bad run of them or something. The rep didn't miss a beat.

They are sending my new IQ out tomorrow morning FIRST, it will include a return sticker and rma paperwork, I get the new one and BAM slap on the return sticker, RMA back the bad one in the same box.

I try to remain generally nice guy, watch my language, etc. in public, like here, but...

That just fucking rocks.

I was only on hold for a few minutes, and my call took less than 5.

I was getting pretty irritated there for the last few days as I fought against reality that my IQ *might* work again, in vain of course.

But a little good old top of the line customer service goes a looooooong way with me. Be a standup company when one of your products hits a bump in the road and you'll be surprised how many of us will hang in there.

:D

Peace and good things out to everyone.

So guys, one more time I'm going to ask if any of you are using the Smartpaths I'm really nailing this issue down. So I set my Smartpaths they stay quit the app, relaunch it, there still there. Quit the app, use the vape, launch the app, Smartpaths are reset. So weird. Running on a iPhone.

So glad to hear they gave you proper service brother! That is encouraging to hear given all of these reports of initial problems!

I really do wonder what kind of testing vaporizer companies are doing lately with their products. It seems like more often than not, products are released with deal-breaking issues that need to be remediated and were not tested/identified prior to release. I have never returned so many products when dealing with any other industry! This applies to many, many more vendors than da vinci.

Where has the product testing gone?

ok. So the battery saga continues. Beyond frustrating.
I charged a 3000MAH I just bought locally on Monday to 100%. I then let it set on my desk for 24 hrs and checked the charge. It was at 97%. So, that tells me the battery is holding a normal charge by itself.

I then added that battery to the IQ. It showed a full charge minus one dot like usual. I kept the device on for 3-5 seconds. 24 hours have passed and I just checked the IQ. It did not turn on. Checked the battery level w the charger and it was at 0% . WTF.

Why would that happen? I did touch the device yesterday late afternoon and thought I noticed a tiny bit of heat but I could not 100% confirm this as happening or not. It was very subtle and I dismissed it. But...clearly something is going on. I have done the hard reset a couple of times as well and have never used the app smart paths. I've used this device 2 times . Total of maybe 10 minutes.

I'm about done w this device. Help....

Hey there! That sounds very strange. There will be some battery drain over time and by time I mean several days or weeks. You battery should not drain to 0% overnight. Please contact me via DM or contact our CS team so we can issue you an RMA and get this resolved.

Peace all!

I understand your frustrations, I had similar issues, while using the app all my settings would reset, randomly disconnects or the app just stops working.

I got the same version that's in the App Store. Usually when there's and update it just updates it or if your in the App Store and it needs updating it will say "Update" next to the app, and it just said "Open".
So I'm wondering how much Davinci is playing big brother with these units. There is actually a log out button if you have a Davinci account, I did that and logged back in and tried a couple of sessions and the paths seemed to have stayed at least for now.

Are you using a Apple or Android phone?

Filled a bowl in my IQ the other day, and it got knocked over and spilled onto the carpet. Now I see this. Mind Blown! And that looks like a Davinci tin in the background, lol

Try deleting the app and downloading it again. I had to do that when I was having issues of the app not having/dropping connection with the unit.
Well knock on wood since I logged out of my account via the app and reset the smartpaths it hasn't happened again.

So, since I have the battery disconnect issue I started an RMA with the help of @Davinci_vaporizer . Got an email from the CS department that wanted me to send the unit in first before they sent out a replacement. Okay, seems fair, but that makes me pay for outgoing shipping on a warranty exchange.

Thought about it for a bit and then gave their CS number a call. They could not have been more helpful. They're sending a replacement unit tomorrow along with a return label.

I bought mine from DaVinci directly and I'd strongly recommend doing that. She said they like to put extra effort into CS cases when they purchased direct.

This must be knock over weed week! I was googling how to recover spilled weed the other day and found this post from 2010 that tells about the sock vacuum method. Now you post this... What a coincidence. Guess what I did? Was loading the IQ and dropped my opened grinder with 5 grams of weed inside on the floor. It wasn't fun picking out the hairs from that.

I don't know, some of the vendors honor warranty's. I have never had a problem with anything I've ordered from PuffitUp. I've even returned one of my vapes before. They let me return it before returning the old one. They have always treated me good and have always given me good prices.

That made me laugh :)

Hello all,
I'm new here and I'd like to thank everyone for all their input. It made my trip a lot easier

I like mine a lot. It sounds like mine is on par. 365 and it's fresh flowers for a long time.

Again thanks!
Welcome to the forum @Paka-cholo. Nice that you don't have any problems and enjoying your IQ. I love my IQ but hesitate to recommend it bc of all the problems either with the units or CS. It truly is an amazing gadget if one receives a properly functioning model. In the last week alone 3 of my friends tried the IQ and felt they had to have one. I'm talking about 3 smokers, on 3 separate occasions, lol. Happy to see there's been less flaws and CS is taking care of people who has issues.

So I thought I was being pretty good about cleaning out my chamber the other day until I shinned a light down inside the chamber and seen all the resin build up. It was actually covering up some of the holes at the bottom of the chamber. So I got out the old ISO and the Q-Tips took everything apart and started cleaning. The bowl was the worse. Kind of surprised me since I was cleaning with ISO once a week anyways. So I decided to go down to Walmart and by a pak of a 100 1" ISO pads cheep 2 bucks now every time I empty my bowl I put a ISO wipe on the end of the cleaning brush and just give it a quick turn in the bowl, even after one use you'd be surprised as to how much crap it takes out. Overkill? Maybe, but I know one thing, my weekly cleanings will be a hell of a lot easier and each session will be much smoother, just my 2¢.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's horrible to be excited then let down for sure. Mine has little things like the heat issues and minor battery alarm stuff. It seems pretty common though. However it's only been 1 month so we shall see. Like another member said I guess you kind of look at it as a 10 year lease. However the process must be a pain.
