Im not sure if sublimator sells replacement cables at the moment. I can only find a power supply and mc controller on their website

Here are some close ups of the MC controller:

Why in the world is this vape so underrated? @lazylathe let me borrow his and this is on ANOTHER level! This is like an electric Supreme 3! EVO, Herbie, Grasshopper, etc. are light weights in comparison IMO.

Talk about freight train heavy hitting extraction! Like dabs of flower! This is the only way I roll from here on out!

So i'm not even sure i'm in the right thread (XLR 2.0?) but I wanna buy one of these but can't figure out which one?

v4 e-nail
dabmaster
apollo

price doesn't matter, and I will be using it for flowers and concentrates equally. Dabs will be on the smaller size.

I love this vape! Sub Culture!

Hi @biohacker

If you should want to get a compromise take the dabmaster, not the best for herbs, not for concentrates but still damned good with both of them and the best of all models for doubledeckers.

If you should want to get the best for all occasions and price doesn't matter buy an Apollo for herbs and a Nail for concentrates - and perhaps a dabmaster for doubledeckers too? ;-).

Please note that there are new overworked heaters since 01-01-17.

Up to now I've only tried the Sublimator Apollo which excited me so much. But would like to test or at least to see a comparison of

- Sublimator 2.0 (XLR and mini XLR versions)
- D-Nail Lotus Flower
- New Vape Flower Pot
- Herborizer Ti

They are looking similar and I guess they are working so?

I'm new to the sub, but why would you say that the apollo is best for herbs and dabmaster best for double deckers? I think I love this vape so much that I would just buy all three! lol This is huge!!!

What do you mean by new overworked heaters? Like a new version? I was planning on purchasing from Planet Vape.ca.

I will be buy a Herborizer Ti very soon as well.

But the New Vape looks more attractive than the Herborizer Ti ;-) And you will also need two different heaters for herbs and concentrates with the Herb Ti but not for the New Vape.

Look at the Sub site under 'Why so many heaters!?'

Regarding the overworked heaters look here.

I know only one review regard to the new heater - and new monkey controller - by bubbleman and John B. Its long but not really worthfully.

Thanks bro! Looks like I can figure this out now! Should the threads be merged? I mean, the xlr 2.0 replaces all previous sub models.

The last version already was the XLR 2.0 So its more of a Mini XLR 2.1 which still is called 2.0.
Who knows why...

Up to now I dont know the exact differences aside the new mini XLR connections and little changes in shape.
May be its just technical camouflage for promoting the new Monkey controller - and the coming digital controller by Sublimator.
If you intend to use these new controllers you HAVE to buy the new heater ALSO.

I think i'll go with the dabmaster to start! But i'm curious just how much better the apollo would be for herbs? If it's alot better, i'd just go with both or the apollo + e-nail

when is the digital controller due out?

Oh and titanium or stainless steel?

And if you use the sub cage, it doesn't fit in the stand?

FYI here is a another FC thread regarding the Sub.

There is just a notification to the digital controller without a timeframe....next time?

With the long heating process of the Sub - a real drawback of this device - in mind I would choice the Ti for faster heating.

I for myself would only take the Apollo for herbs, perhaps but unlikely the Dabmaster because of its bigger versatiliy and a good nail - not the pure ti one by Sublimator - for concentrates.
There are better options for concentrates especially regarding to flavours than the Nail by Sublimator I think.

EDIT: If you actually are looking for a digital controller for use with the Sub perhaps the HexNail will be the better choice? Guys from HexNail are working on a special preset in their HexNail for optimized heat controlling especially for the Sub heaters.

I noticed that on the Sublimator website. I've only had mine 12 months but was tempted to buy the new version & lash out on a kit with glass & keep my controller & power supply as a backup.
With the versions not being compatible now there doesn't seem much point.
Does this mean they won't be offering support for the older version & if your 2:0 controller fails you're screwed? That'd be pretty disappointing hope I'm wrong.

Thanks to the Sublimator, I had the best night of sleep in ages! Thanks @lazylathe ! I owe you huge bro! Soon i'll have my very own XLR 2.0 and you can demo it too!

Best plug in on the market IMO! It just obliterates anything you throw in the bowl! Biogassification? Sold!

Smoothest vape out there, nothing has ever had me say "no" to water...it's just not needed!

I have to agree with you the sub is awesome! even though I purchased the e-nail version it still works phenomenal for dry herbs! And, yes dry herb hits in the sub hit like dabs...

Time to sell my EVO and purchase a Apollo heater for dry herb :ko:

Which concentrate nails did you have in mind? I have made a pre-purchase for the Cherry Hex-Nail and might do the Sublimator Apollo, Hex-Nail-and a Good Enail (if there is one better then the sub nail)

As you can see in my signature I'm on the same side and waiting for the CCA Liger (SiC/sapphire). But think the D-Nail is an alternative too. All devices included Sub heaters will soon work with the HexNail.

Haha a cheeky touch, someone's gonna get a monkey branded on them one day. Nice to see these threads alive and some new products out.

I Agree completely. I think it was that people didn't understand the setups at first, but all you really need is the adapta kit and its no more complicated than using an ol lighter.

People also considered it too dangerous - meh its really not that bad just not for everyone. And heaps of peeps got angry at the claims it was gassification. It all blew up when they first introduced it here on fc. And now they also don't seem to advertise/be active here.

Oh and also it wasn't fully polished when the original came out here, like the heat shrink handle setup compared to the 2.0. It looked a bit unfinished at first.

But all the negatives aside it is one of the best vapes ever imo. I love the simplicity - others don't get it, their loss. This vape got me off the smoke so its forever a gem in my mind. It was just so similar to smoking a bong that the change was effortless - eventually haha.

This is exactly what I am working on at the moment!
Hopefully it will be around $100 for the thermocouple and the digital controller.

This is the controller I am interested in using with the Sub:
http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=459

I will keep updating with communications and hopefully have it up and running soon!
Hey man, congratulation son getting the best Vape in the world, Sub 1.0

Just get a watt meter and you will have a digital Sublimator. No modding.

My timer failed so I removed the timer and controller box. Now just use the dial from the controllerbox with a watt meter. And the Sub works better than ever. With the watt meter, temps can be set extremely precise, down to .1 Watt.

Also remember if you press and hold the 30 minute button on the timer, the light will change and the Sublimator will stay on until you manually turn it off.

OG subber checking in!

Still have the sub on 24/7 and it's going strong! (Though I did have it packed away for over a year).

Oh how I love how simple and effective this beast is!

On a sidenote, I very much miss the other OG's and our conversations from the early days.

Hope you all are doing well!

Is the 1.0 definitively the best? I had a friend tell me he tried the XLR 2.0 and he liked my 1.0 a lot more for some reason. I'm thinking maybe he tried to vape flowers from the e-nail and mistook it for an apollo.

I just ordered a 3.0 because my wattage significantly dropped on my 1.0 after 4 years of continuous usage. It still works well but I'd like my AVB to be a little darker and for the sub to extract a little quicker. What readouts are you guys getting? Mine maxes out at 33.8 watt.

My kill-a-watt died a long time ago, but I originally marked my sweet spot with a marker when I got it almost four years ago, and I still have it at the same spot to get that dark ABV I want - basically right on the cusp of combustion.

So that would tell me that my sweet spot is still about 32/33 watts and that I could still max out at 45 ish if I wanted to.

Though I've never done a dab so I think I'm happy staying where I am.

I do recall reading someone saying that if you do happen to use it for dabs, there's a chance that will impact the ability of your Apollo maintaining temperatures in the long run.

Sub 1.0 FTW.
