Discontinued Supreme Vaporizer

If i can give you one very important tip!
When using such big flames make sure you keep them at the top half of the heat exchanger!!!
Any lower and you will torch the silicone and the temperature sensor!!
Just keep that in mind!
I replaced the silicone with aluminium foil and then I bend some SS wire around to fix it. Since 5 months I am using it like that and never had a problem.

All this talk of pure convection has got me testing and we love testing.
I've been stsrting out with thd stem barely in silicon.
The flavor if possible is even more intense.
After a few good hits slide stem the rest of the way. And get all my CBD"s with a full roast only the sv3 can provide.
Yeah, thats also my favorite way! I heat up to about 190°C and then take the first draw. The temperature will rise a bit more, maybe up to 210°C. After the second draw when it is cooling down, I slide the stem all in and finish the bowl.

.

I think you may have missed my point.
With larger flames they cover more surface area of the heat exchanger block, thus making it easier to heat the actual temperature sensor and get incorrect readings.
It all depends on the type of butane torch or propane torch you are using.

Replacing the silicone with aluminum foil is a neat idea but still does not protect the sensor from direct flame heat.

I did replace the silicone because I kept burning it with the plumber torch.
Sometimes when I am not holding the torch at the right place I get the wrong temperature reading for a second, but it does not damage anything now.
The thermometer costs 3 Dollars on Aliexpress, I have a spare one at home (search for TA-288).

I posted an adapter a few pages back that works really well for this full convection tech!!

Have a look here:
http://www.planetvape.ca/vapocane-fusion-vaporizer.html

It is the Vapocane adapter in the middle of the picture.
It holds a small basket inside for the herb and works like a bomb!!

It is a truly different experience with the herb located outside the device!

I think I might try this with my Versa Infinity bowls, will be interesting to see how they differ as before the Supreme my Infinity was my DD and hardest hitter and it's standard usage was much like you describe here, strong convention airflow into a bowl situated outside the heat source.

FC community rocks.

Ok I got out my Infinity bowl, put a screen in it and gave this a try. I choked up the silicone washer on the metal tube a little to get the airflow exit closer to the herb and heated up my Supreme with it inserted but no screen or material in it. Then I used the same oily 14mm reducer into the Infinity bowl.

WOW. You guys were right and more.

A distinct experience from the standard method, greatly enhanced flavor and an equally potent yet unique signature effect. For me it's got more headiness that is associated with convection (makes sense).

My Supreme experience just leveled up and I thought that was impossible.

Some people are probably wondering what is it about the Supreme3 heater that makes it more effective? Isn't heated air just heated air? Click the link in my sig to see the sv3 heating element. The only way I can describe it is that the heated air is "thicker" than what other vapes can produce.

I've never use my Supreme. I ordered a torch for it and am so intimidated by it that I've never tried. Before I give up and sell it I'd like to know if I can use a pocket torch- the kind I use with my vapcaps instead of the large torch.

You can when turned up all the way but it will take a long time, to the point where your torch may get hot. I would guess around 5 straight minutes of torching with a small torch to get up to temp. Not practical but certainly possible.

I'm not sure this will work with my torches. I think 5 minutes of use will make all of mine too hot to hold. I guess I can switch between torches to make it to 5 minutes but that would be a pain.
This helps my decision. Thanks.

It is to me. If you knew what a klutz I am you would understand why. Plus, aside from my lack of coordination, my hands shake quite a bit now that I'm older. I think it's risky. So the brulee torch is also unused.

Like seriously, is there a better tasting smoother vape out there? Not a chance! Even with a Sublimator on deck (my favourite plug in vape), the Supreme is just pure magic!

Ed MUST make an plugin version..... i'd be so willing to throw in on a kickstarter/indidgogo... probably years away from it though still...

I could use an assist... Does someone know the spec of the heat resistant whip tubing used to hold the downstem firmly in the metal frame, also used to hold the thermocouple sensor in place? A source for buying too if you have one.

My only complaint about the Supreme, and any advice/tips etc would be greatly appreciated...

How do I install the white or red (especially) without tearing them to shreds? Is it even possible!??

Not very good at splaining my self.
I put rubber ring on my finger put tube in on angle then grab what's left with thumb. Then push tube while kinda twisting. Lol
Hope that helps

Also just remembered sounds like your tubes might be sharp. Get a Emory board and take the edges off

@biohacker from @Stu on page 96
I've posted this before, but I've found the trick is to use the tip of a pen to stretch it and place it.

:peace:
and another tip from your compadre on the same page
I find the easiest way to install the red grommet is to hold it firmly on the tube with my left thumb and then stretch it over the top of the tube carefully with ,my right thumb and forefinger. A bit of lube also helps a lot, i use glycerine for this. You can also take some fine sandpaper and round off the edge of the tube so as not to cut the grommet.

Thanks guys...i'll try the pen, but still don't think i'm going to succeed....all good, I don't usually use them anyway and just plug straight into 14mm. But I wanna try the double 18/14 combo but fear ruining more. I should have bought a bunch of extras.

Woooah convection mode is INSANE! Talk about flavour!!!! So many ways to use this beast! Thanks again @lazylathe for the VC adapter! It works incredibly well...loving it!

Last thing to test will be the glass tube!
