***Gamers*** What are you playing?

I'm pretty much 100% VR these days. I haven't come across a "game" proper, that I'm playing a lot of. But I am playing (whenever I get the time), Universe Sandbox 2 and Medium VR on my Vive headset.

A bit of a derivation from what I've been playing, but I'm planning to pick up Arizona Sunrise at some point in the near future.

I've been playing a ton of TF2 Lately it's perfect for my style. Few matches here or there.

I have a hat, that makes my one guy look like an Indian Chief and it has some yellow and purple lighting particle effect.......the value of it is like $39  I may sell it but it's kinda cool having it

I got this game called Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Really fuckin fun. It's a lot like Commandos if you guys ever played that back in the day. And you can play it in Japanese with subs if you want and that's a cool feature adds to the atmosphere for me at least. And it runs really good on a controller which I wasn't anticipating so nice playing on the big screen

Yesterday it crashed on my TV and I just went through the 7 levels of hell to finally get everything working properly lol idk what happened or what the deal was but major buzzkill. Wasn't the games fault something got out of Wack with my drivers

About to fire up Twilight Princess (w HD texture pack) for Dolphin. Going to see which 3d Zelda's I can (re)beat before BoTW comes out and I've never replayed this one before sadly.

Is Dolphin a 3ds emulator that works? I should look into that (been years)

I go every week considering buying a 3ds but I can't bring myself to do it. I have a 2ds but it hurts my hands playing they cramp up after a half hour or so lol idk

Dolphin is a gamecube/wii emulator. It's really good, constant updates, tons of HD texture packs etc.

Citra is the 3ds emulator, but it was in its early stages when I was following it in Spring of 16. I have a 3ds, so haven't tried Citra but it seems pretty good. The question is whether or not it is stable and which games have been ripped.

I bought the new pokemon both on launch day and still haven't even gotten one badge in either so I should probably play those instead of replaying games I've already beat but idk.

Went really deep on Binding of Isaac the past few months. Getting close to platinum on the game, but it's getting a bit boring at this point. I've never 100% a game before though, so it is/was that fun for me.

Probably waiting to buy afterbirth plus for console whenever that comes depending on how I feel about continuing Isaac, but downloaded a game called Don't Starve yesterday. Seems interesting.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is coming out soon. (on consoles too)

Spiritual successor to Planescape Torment. Here's the new story trailer they released...

Hopefully it's good. Tough game to try and live up to on the writing/setting front.

Combat should be better though. (gonna be turn based instead of real time with pause)

Wha?! I mean, I'll definitely try it, but I'm pretty apprehensive... Best part about Torment imo was the idea of a planar hub, the doors leading to all worlds from lawful evil through good, and you are in a city at the center of the web. That and the Blood War. This game made the conflict of chaotic vs lawful evil seem sooo epic. WAY WAY better than any other infinity engine game I have tried since. This new game only seems centered loosely around the idea of a mortal that doesn't die because he shifts to different bodies. I guess that is.... semi similar to the concept of the Nameless One?

Better combat? I still remember how awesome casting a celestial fury was! Hell, all the spell animations past fire and ice were just stunning for a game at that time. One of the more awesome mage experiences I have had anyways.

God damn it, I just already know they will fuck it all up :(

Yea, I wish they (or some other capable dev) would be able to use older d&d editions and make some new cRPGs in the Planescape, Ravenloft, Dark Sun settings, say. I don't really know much at all about this new Monte Cook setting Numenera, as I've intentionally kept my head in the sand when it comes to these things, so everything's pretty much fresh when I play. I did switch up my pledge at the last second and get the physical Numenera Ninth World bestiary and the regular digital game, instead of the digital collectors edition. Always liked going through the monster manuals and such while playing the d&d cRPGs.

Those high level spell animations were really cool, but I've always been a fan of the turn based combat in d&d games like the old Gold Box series and Temple of Elemental Evil, as opposed to the real time stuff of the Infinity Engine games. (even though I do still enjoy those games) Too many little details just get lost in real time for me when it comes to these types of party based cRPGs though.

As far as expectations, I always try and keep it low with these things and hopefully it becomes a pleasant surprise.

Can confirm. Breath of the Wild is amazing.

Been playing since like 1:30am

Met a cool dad+ his young son in line. Ate a mushroom chocolate on my way home. Got baked as fuck and really enjoyed it. I haven't even messed with the tablet-like ability yet or anything other than Zelda but hot damn it is awesome.

The music, voice-acting, combat, ui, environment.. all amazing. can't wait to see where it goes as I managed to avoid spoilers and the story is already insane

At the moment I play Shovel Knight. A fantastic retro platform game. It's influenced by Mario Bros. 3, Duck Hunt, Mega Man and other games that are pure nostalgia to me.

I also started with Zelda - Twilight Princess on the Wii U. When I finish the game I'm going to buy Breath of the Wild. The reviews I read are very positive!

I'd say my passion for gaming trumps even my love for MJ, so I'm always playing several games. For multiplayer I'm currently playing lots of Overwatch, For Honor and Titanfall 2 with my buddies. I own Battlefield as well but I dunno, it's just not really my jam... Despite it being (loosely) historically based I feel it's one of the most chaotic shooters I own and just haven't been able to get into it. I also play Smite from time to time but none of my friends really enjoy it so it's getting less and less of my time lately.

Playing solo it depends what mood I'm in. If I feel like doing something more active I bust out my Vive and play some VR games, Space Pirate Trainer and Audioshield really get you moving, loads of fun. If I feel like not noticing the outside world I'll immerse myself in some Civ (6 right now but 5 is probably still better) and easily waste any length of time ruling nations. If I feel like being a hero I play RPG's or Adventure games.. Was almost done FF15 but got distracted during the late game and haven't been back yet. Nioh took it's place recently and was really scratching my Dark Souls itch, but Horizon Zero Dawn just arrived today so that's gonna take my time now. If I wanna chill out and relax my go to has been Stardew Valley lately.

But all that will change next week when my Switch/BOTW gets here... I foresee a sick day or two coming up next week. Been playing Zelda games as long as I can remember so I don't think I'll even be able to consider another game once the Switch is all set up.

Are you a pro Lucio? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

 I get that a lot. Also, "Don't you know how to spell Lucio?"... But no Pro Lucio here, Mei is bae.

My first car was a Honda Prelude which is Prolusio in latin. Couldn't think of a better gamer name
