You guys see this from the vape critic?
just a note, that is not the vape critic

I bit the bullet and basically bought the spacers for $18, which is over priced imo.

But the spacers are game changer. It saves me a lot of weed now. Before if I don't fully pack it, I'll get a lot less vapor, but now it doesn't matter how I pack it (because of the spaces).

The only thing that annoys me is the spacers get stuck a bit after I'm done vaping, and I'll have to use something small, like a paperclip to get it out.

EDIT: Do you guys do HERB -> SPACER -> PEARL BALL or SPACER -> HERB -> PEARL BALL?

For me I'm doing HERB -> SPACER -> PEARL BALL
i do want the spacers for science but that price is killer...smh, i think thats how i would use them as well...ust seems right!

Hey Everyone!

The best placement for the spacers is to load you herb in first then your spacer on top of that herb. So you are correct the spacer should sit between your herb and the pearl.

You do it right, cause the holes of the spacer don't fit exactly the holes of the oven they said..
I'm still waiting for mine

I'm waiting for mine also, should be getting it today if the tracking is correct. More to the point. I have 2 Focus Pro's that have ceramic honeycomb filters what they call wax/oil filter/screens that they use with their pens.

But they are very similar looking to the glass spacers of the IQ. I just don't know if they are the same dimensions. Also to keep the oven clean, would it be to far fetched to actually put some sort of screen at the bottom of the flavor chamber to help keep the resin out of the bottom of the main bowl to help with cleaning?

@cobra505 putting a screen in the flavor chamber will just make the oil have less particles...but it did increase oil around the outside of the hole leading into the flavor chamber (same oil that makes it stick when cold)...it did also make it easier to use herbs in the flavor chamber because they don't clog it as fast

i like the slightly old school porno music he uses in the beginning of the video too...lol

I was meaning to check out the vapor profile for u at 340 degrees but I screwed up and did it at 350 instead bc I'm an idiot with good intentions but awful memory. Anyway at 350(lower than my usual low), surprising very effective. Using the smaller spacer and pearl on mid position I got a very flavorful and visible 5 mins out of it. I know I can get at least another session out of this bc this little monster never stops. FYI, I saw plenty of vapor bc I was under my kitchen fan and it has a light, wouldn't want to mislead u

Excellent info! If it works well at that low of a temp then my GF should be able to get some use out of this baby too...

So after my 2 day delivery took a week. Finally got mine in the mail today only to be disappointed, unit came in with no perl.
I can't believe stuff like this is still happening. I was debating whether or not to send in all the ceramic stuff from the IQ when I sent in the RMA, in the end I just kept it. The flavor chamber just rattled too much without the mouthpiece. I have a simple question about the DR Dabber Ghost you own, is it ok if I PM u with my question?

Got mine today. I'm on the second load, so here are some impressions:

I got the copper/bronze/champagne... whatever color that is. It's subtle. I like it. Practically every other vape I have is black so this is a nice change.

The unit itself is smaller and heavier than I expected it to be. It's solidity and stealthiness are welcome surprises. It really does feel great in hand. Looks fantastic too. The subtle logo is great.

It does get pretty hot, which at this time of year isn't really a downside. But it isn't "holy cow! What's wrong???" hot, more like "this vape has some serious power" hot. It heats up impressively fast for a single 18650 driving such a large ceramic oven. Very cool.

Hitting it was a little tricky to get used to initially coming off of the Mighty's wide open draw. The IQ is a tight draw for sure. Around half way through the second load I got the feel for draw speed down. It can hit REALLY HARD around 375 and a slowish draw. I had to be a little more careful with it to avoid busting a lung. Once I got the feel for it though I realized that I can get similar sized clouds from it as the Mighty. Warm, flavorful hits. Not burnt or searing hot tasting like you get from some of the others.

There are a few downsides to the setup. I don't have a lot of confidence in the hinges and closures on top and bottom. I feel like they should snap in place or something. Feels like it'll flick open at the wrong moment and break off. Will that actually happen? Probably not, but it kinda feels like it will. The little interior battery door itself is much better and more solid feeling.

Another small gripe is the mouthpiece setup. I love having two options out of the box, but swapping them is fussy and it seems likely that the flat mouthpiece will get lost eventually. I'm also uninterested in infusing anything with the removable "flavor chamber," but I like being able to remove the vapor path for cleaning. Kind of a wash there. The extended mouthpiece is great, but a 14mm connection would have been better than a 10 (to me anyway, since hooking it up to a water tool seems like a no brainer.)

Overall, for a first session impression? I'm impressed! It has a short learning curve, makes tons of vapor, especially for a conduction setup. It was easy to load and unload. Just a great little on-the-go vape! I didn't really mess with the app but this will be my daily for the next couple weeks while my Mighty goes through an RMA, so I'll do a long term use uodate later on.

Good luck with customer service. I'm on 2 weeks with no reply from them. Ur better off sending a pm to @Davinci_vaporizer
got it thru a 3rd party, got a great relationship, it's already in the mail with tracking #. Hopefully I get it by Saturday. After reading the post and the nightmares you guys were having with customer service & Davinci there was no way I was buying directly from them.

So you sent your whole IQ back for the pearl? Did it have the post but no pearl or was the lid completely barron?

Lol buying 3rd party was a good idea!

Davinci just sent me shipping notification of an iq in the right color and a return label for shipping the one I have. Nice of them to do that before receiving it. Some plus points for that! Can't wait to try it

Sacrilege..... I have stopped using my grinder. At most I will break up nuggets into chunks. I want my trichomes in the oven instead of the grinder. I view nuggets as preloads for mobile packing. This is so much simpler and my ABV is dark and consistent.

I am using the extra pearl and Pyrex flowers as heat sink / spacers until I get my DaVinci spacers. I am a simple man, I want my hits at 430 quickly and I am done. I pack a full load for sessions.

The IQ reduces consumption to 40% of what I did with an Ascent. BIGLY savings in herb!

Glad you are enjoying the vape and your accessory parts. Any other accessories for the IQ that you would like to see?

Yes, I'd love to see a sleek protective cover for the IQ, almost like a sleeve - just thick enough to protect the device from minor scratches/dings. I believe the Pax has one that looks nice.

Also, I'm waiting on my warranty claim - you guys will receive the unit in mail today. Sending a few glass spacers with my new unit would be pretty cool since I had to pay to ship a faulty unit from Washington DC to Las Vegas. Also, are units typically being replaced entirely by brand new units, or are the old units being repaired? Mine had trouble recognizing a battery charge - would turn off as soon as I power on the unit.

Hoping for a quick repair!

Got the Pearl in IQ is great, learning the whole system not your average vape that's for sure

There's a curve for sure.

I'm on my second day with it and there's no doubt that load sizing is critical. It can be under or over loaded pretty easily.

After loading and unloading it about a dozen times now I feel like I'm zeroing in on it. Too packed = extra tight draw. Not packed enough = open draw and no significant vapor.

My impression is that the oven could be wider and shallower. It's a little tricky figuring out how it's packed when the shape is so vertical.

I asked in a earlier post about the honey comb glass spacers that Davinci sells, Focus Pro Pens have ceramic type filters that are similar. Now that I have the unit the Davinci glass ones would be much bigger to fill that gap. Did you purchase the glass spacers? I just started playing around with the app myself. Really like the video tutorials.

the spacers rock!!! I recommend them to anyone who uses less than max bowl capacity. I almost never feel the need to vape thru .3g of material in 1 sitting, I'm happy to use less than 1/2 of that. Completely changes the way I see the IQ, I hated having to vape the same bowl of material all day long as I did before the spacers.

I want to buy a set of glass screens but I'm trying to find a way to incorporate them in my sessions, I use a screen in the chamber to avoid build up and stains. Should I put the glass screens on top of the flowers or vice versa?
