Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

Inhalater does have a glass capsule.
There was an hourglass shaped shorty, and there is a long glass high quality capsule.
In all cases with Inhalater, the capsule IS the air path.
I do not use my glass capsule often for the Inhalater, for reasons of cleanup.. (I am compulsive about it). The Polymide is so simple to maintain, I only use the glass when I am doing some serious "flavor grabbing".

Here, in Europe, the Grasshopper is more expensive than the Inhalater and the Grasshopper doesn't seems durable for everybody .....although some people can tell something similar for the Inhalater:lol:..

As mentionned I like it cause it's idiotproof and it can offers both the thickers clouds and the better taste (personnal opinion), not a lot of portable do that for me (without to mention the great battery life and the super convenient capsule system).

Although I'll get a Grasshopper in the future too....sure!

I have been the happy owner of an inh05 for one and a half years.
These are some of my fndings to possibly help other people make a choice.
Stealthiest vap in the market, you can vap anywhere and the only people who are gonna realize what are you are doing are gonna be other inh owners.
Almost as powerful as my silver surfer, in high temperatures you can build rips that will match a bong rip.
Very long battery life, can easily make 15 sessions with one battery at it highest temperature and if needed i can swap batteries in lees than 40 seconds.
18650 batteries is a huge plus, can buy extra batteries almos in any store near you....
Easy to clean, you can get to a point where there almost no resdue inside and can be taken trought security control at the airport. I have been already in many different countries with my inh05....
The mini USB conection is one of the best features cause you can charge it everywhere.
Excellent heat up time, in less than a minute is ready to vap at it highest temperature.
(Heard the inh05 s is still faster)
I do turn it off between sessions allowing the vap to cool down for 3 or 5 minutes.
So, in other words, my next portable vap is gonna be the inh05 s, and as long as i dont find ALL this options with another vap, this is gonna be my portable for a long while...:wave::wave:

I thought they suggested not to change battery's because the ribbon wiring was getting pinched and broken. Could be wrong but I always find myself coming back here. This thing has such great success story's inspite of itself. Pretty cool.

@HD Springer You are correct it was initially touted as being 'on the fly' battery changing but this was later rescinded due to the problems you mention. I took drastic measures to ensure I didn't pinch the very thin ribbon.

@Big Rippa 15 sessions off one cell that is truly amazing I've only heard of one other person getting the same kind of battery life.
As for taking it thru customs you are a braver person than myself, I've stripped mine completely and cleaned it thoroughly and I still wouldn't chance it.

I am still sporting an XP, and 05, and an 06s.
All work great.
the 06 takes 10- 15 seconds to heat up, and has the turbo button, but I love all 3.
They are stealthy, without the user having to "make it stealthy"
Hitting it as normal has never brought attention in public.
I miss my 04.
it was taken during our misadventure a year ago.

It is amazing.
I am neurotic about charging and topping off batteries , with the latest generation of batteries.
I have gone 6 sessions on a charge, and the unit was still working well when I plugged it in...
I thought a half dozen sessions was great.
15 sessions is magnificent.

I'm of course still a huge fan as well.... I'm currently using a modified 05 that has an 04 heater wrapped around an 05 heater.......it is pretty amazing
I have found that i really like using the manufacturer glass capsule as it has slightly thicker walls which help to curve the intense heat that it can generate....

I have typically enjoyed on average 8-10 sessions without issue but I tend to walk up in temp and those last sessions are set on very high temps when it's time to kill a cap completely

As far as the battery swap on the fly issue goes.... I have completely gone to external charging and keeping fresh batteries on hand at all times..... My ribbon cable has been holding up wonderfully however it is a very flimsy deal for sure....what I don't do is to hold the ribbon in anyway to folding it back or any other direction.... I just let it dangle loosely.... it just about falls back into place after you get used to it.... The more concerning issue with that damn ribbon cable is that it will short out when put back into place on too much of an angl....so what I did was hit the bottom of the CB with clear nail polish to help insulate and protect from shorting out the ribbon cable.....:peace:

15 sessions is magnificent.

@Big Rippa would be keen to know your vape technique to get you 15 sessions.
Polyimide capsule or glass?
Full or part load?
Battery manufacturer and mah rating?
Length of time this battery has been used for, days, weeks, years?
Ambient temps?
Grind fine, med, course?
Also what do you class as a session, one hit or running a full cap. So 15 hits or 15 caps?
Dry or thru water?

Mine still works, I'd be keen to try and replicate your findings??

@Old School Am I to take it both heaters are powered? 8-10 caps with an extra heater drawing power is even more amazing.

Is this vape still in production or are the ones for sale just old stock? Tried to read most of thread but can be confusing at times especially with the one guy who didn't make a lot of sense on most of the thread..lol

My comment:

was in response to your previous comment:

You made the comment to @Big Rippa about his technique, and his 15 sessions.
I already posted that:

I thought a half dozen sessions was great.
so I think something was lost in the translation here.
I personally I use Polymide, and NOT the vented ones or Aero caps. I use the originals.
I have a glass one also, but use the polymide for ease of cleaning.

Yes it is for sale.
The owner is banned from FC, but his vape is still available.
Old stock is not necessarily a bad thing, as some people prefer the XP, or the 05.
If a site says INH 06 then it is the newest.

The original "s" mod was a 2nd power transistor that allowed the addition of a 2nd heater to be added all I've done really is change the 2nd heater to a 04 style it also had some additional mods to the chamber sleeve.... I removed almost 80+% of the plastic and replaced it with polyimide :peace:

As soon as you open the vap to change the battery and just by looking at that ribbon you can tell that it breaks very easly, so im extra careful there, like i know is not a good idea to try to do that when you are on the middle of the third cap....:ko::ko:
And for sure that is what happened, ppl were not careful enough, at some point Greg have to come up with a solution to be able to swap batteries in a less traumatic way.....
@phattpiggie that was genious what you did with your vap, Greg should think about a solution like that...:science:
When i take it to travel the only part of the vap that makes me nervous is under the heat chamber, below the screen, i reach down with cotton, alcohol and a powerful vacuum cleaner, but im still not relax enough....:uhoh:
Do you know a way to reach down there....??
When i got all those sessions was the day after i got the vap....testing phase...
Today after 17 months i still get at least 12 sessions for sure....(1 session=1 cap)
Highest temperature (as with all my vaps)
Polyamide original capsule (not aero)
Medium grind....(very dry nano weed
flakes)
3/4 or little less of a load
No water attachments
Room temperature
Very very slow and looooong draw........:mental::mental:
Fasten seat belts...

Thanks @Big Rippa I will give it a go as I am very keen to try and get this kind of performance from a single cell.
My 05 has been collecting dust, superseded by another more stealthy and tastier battery powered device which in turn has been put to one side as a new butane powered device has taken over.
The portable market moves so quickly and if a company doesn't keep up then it will fall by the wayside.

@Vitolo Sorry I was quoting your phrase as it does sound magnificent, the owner was banned and it was outlandish statements about battery life that led to his accounts being shut down.
Your 6 sessions sounds more credible and about the same as I used to get, but in the name of science I will give BR's technique a whirl.

How did I miss this? Can some one advise on the different inhalaters, not sure what to buy.

I can see the 5s is faster than the 5, but what does the 6 bring to the table?

Just found this...

INH1004, INH XP, INH05, and INH06 all came with the 12.5w heaters....
INH05 "S" had a 2nd 12.5w heater giving it a total of 25w....
INH06 "S" is going to have a special single heater that is 25w....

The INH06 that you had was just like mine a 12.5w..... 05 with a button

(elaborating)
Been making a re-test of the battery from my inh05 just to be more exact....
The battery died in the middle of the 13th session wich i think is a lot more vape that what mostly of the people need in one single day.....
To be medicated i just need 2 or 3 sessions of 0.20 grs, early in the morning with 2 sessions is enought and then later at night, when tolerance has build up i need 3 capsules.
Another possible cause of why i get so much battery life is the fact that i bake at max. temp. so normally after 5 minutes (chronographed) my medicine is completly depleted (cannot make brownies with my ADB):bang:.
I dry my medicine until one milimeter short of "too dry", have plates all over the house drying my medicine.
As i said b4...long, slow and steady sips..(think about drinking very hot chocolate with a small straw)
Before every draw i empty my lungs as much as i can so i can take a looong sip....:love:
After each session i let it cool down 3 to 5 minutes and in that way the vap wont turn off because is too hot or because it has been working too long (10 minutes i think)
On top of the silicone mouthpiece from inhalater i also use a mouth tip from my old vapir and then i can handle better hot temperatures ....
my 2 cents.....

@phattpiggie
"superseded by another more stealthy and tastier battery powered device"

And wich one that would be....???:bowdown:

Yeah that looks like something I may have posted.... Your question of what does the 06 bring to the table.? Simply stated it offers the ability to boost or surge "pulse extraction" the manufacturer likes to call it.... But it's just the addition of a turbo button that really does savor the flavor by keeping the heating chamber pre warmed until the user is ready for their draw...

If your looking for differences in the "s" models they are super heater 25w where as the 05 & 06 are lower power rating heaters 12.5w and again the 06 has the turbo button 05 does not.... Sooo

Inh05 = 12.5w
Inh06 = 12.5w turbo boost
Inh05"S" = 25w
Inh06"S" = 25w turbo boost

I do believe there is merit in the concept of utilizing a swifter extraction which actually could appear to extend battery life....

I tend to expect and enjoy approximately 9 @ 10 min sessions but I'm not full power during all 9 runs but I do end up on 9 towards the end of each cap and my caps are smaller as I prefer to use the glass caps....so really all of these variables affect battery life I'm confident most will experience 80-100 minutes of use per charge.... Oh and it likely matters that I'm always using an external charger too Nitecore D4.....

I've been enjoying swapping batteries for many months now with just the slightest of mods to the way in which I change the batteries now.....
I simply don't allow the cable to bend open..... I super glued it closed and now I simply push out the battery by pushing in the chamber sleeve then once it's pushed the tiny CB up and out of the body I gently let the ribbon cable lay to the side while I replace the battery...then CB & cable back on top of battery and push it back down into the body.....

I'm loving it so far as I really wanted to keep the battery swap feature.... It really works for my needs......:peace:

Or you could buy a vape off a reputable company, and not have to 'mod' your $300 dollar vape (I presume voiding the paper thin warranty if you wanted to use it as a replaceable battery version?)

I would be interested to hear from other Inhalater users as to whether they get 80-100 mins of use, I know I didn't, that's for sure, but mine was not the 'new, improved' version.

I can't remember the post number where future customers can see why this company can't respond on here, but I would be interested to see their view on your suggested 'mod' stated above.

I got almost 2 hours (120 minutes) of use on the 04, XP, and 05. (could have been more but that was always my charging point!)
I use my 06S for about 2 hours before I charge.
I got an even 2 hours once, and then charged, and although that charge took a while, there was still power left after using it for 2 hours... I simply was near an outlet and decided to charge up.

Cheers for your ever present input, anybody else getting nearly 2 hrs off one battery!?! That's over 13 full 9 minute sessions, i was never getting that on either of my 05's, i did do a run down on how long each different battery i had performed, can't place it but will hunt it down.
And your thoughts on the battery replacement and warranty impact?

Everytime I take out one of my inhalaters I'm stocked how it performs well, taste, clouds, convenience and autonomy are great!

I'm awaiting an INH06s from the new batch in early November (or mid November including shipping time),can't wait to test it cause this boost looks like an interesting idea.

I couldn't agree more but rather than shocked.... I'm expecting great taste and nice thick clouds if in fact that's what I'm wanting.... The thing I really dig is I'm in control of how strong or rich I want the draw to be..... It does require an intimate understanding of how it achieves extraction but once you do....a tiny bit more heat and/or a little more time waiting and you can knock the socks off any smoker fan....

Here is a true story that you all might get a kick out of.... My sis's 06 stopped working and she decided to buy a crafty after researching a bit... She was careful to purchase from the company directly to get the latest version..... Well to her dismay it stopped charging after overheating during a charging session so guess who ended up coming by to collect my back up 05s........ I figured this wouldn't have likely happened to anyone else so I thought I'd share.... I tried to get her to join the site and post her experience in the crafty thread but she wouldn't so I at least shared it here....
Inhalater 5s to the rescue :peace:

Surprise surprise surprise (any one remember Gommer Pile) I finally got to try out the latest Grasshopper and to my shock and surprise it was not as good as I was expecting.....
I'm primarily referring to its performance... I may have had my expectations set too high... I tried a couple pinches cuz I read how much folks liked that method but it wasn't really yielding a nice yummy thick cloud as expected....so I tried again later with a fully packed GH chamber and yes it can deliver some hard mind blowing rips but I found I needed to water cool (double shower head) in order to be able to....very hot harsh tough to handle....so my buddy and I ripped it up 10-12 rips we think then we stopped getting vapor.... So here was where it got very interesting.....lets have a look at the ABV.... it was clearly uneven material towards the top was light brown while the dark toasted color I'm used to w/Inhalater was towards the bottom (no stir) so I right away wanted to know what my trusted 05s could extract if anything from this load of GH ABV.... :science:
Well I got 3 more nice rich even decent tasting rips...another 2 more rips but they were thinner and taste was degrading and of course after that the ABV was that nice dark roasted color all the way through....
I still felt it was a nice piece as are the might & crafty but it didn't wow me nor did it dethrone my 05s....
I did love how fast it is ready to extract but I also love the ease at which I load & unload my 05s.... To each their own as they say.... and for this old joint guy finding a device that is easier than rolling and gets the job done as close to complete as my 05s.... It's not going to be easy to replace or dethrone this truly powerful hybrid vaporizer.....
If the manufacturer ever gets around to strengthening its convection properties.... here is some pie in the shy shit how awesome would it be to combine the GH conv heater with the Inhalater log oven..?:science::love:
