So, shot an email to vapefiend's customer support team and received a near instantaneous response (kudos), confirming my order was in fact processed and will be shipped out this afternoon via Royal Mail! (double kudos)

VAS VAS VAS

I have a grace glass water adapter for one of those flowermate dab-pens, the attachment point is a conical joint in which the rubber mouthpiece of pen fits into snugly. I'm wondering if I could turn it into an aqua mod for the SBJ by taking the mouth piece from the pen top inserted into the adapter bottom inserted into a whip tube and the other end of the whip insert into the mouth piece (or mouthpiece insert on the wood body), what say you FC, would this work? Anyway I'll try to upload pics of said water-adapter later.

Last shot in the dark, any FC faithful situated in Amsterdam know a place to get such whips for a reasonable price?

TIA
i use the whip from the hydro brick to hook the junior up to water, you can also use an appropriate shaped 14mm male (to go into junior) and the other end to fit your water tool.

Depending on the piece the Junior mouthpiece itself can be used to mate to a 14mm female joint:

Not sure what the point of supposedly linking up with this company and always pop up and post amazing glass and then say not making any so don't ask?? You've done this on a few threads..just seems kind of a dick move..nice glass

Scoured this whole thread front-to-end because of my severe case of SBJ-VAS, and that post stood out to me too, I wholeheartedly agree with your response! ;):D:clap::leaf:

So the whip tubing from Sticky Brick Labs will be able fit flush with a 18mm male to male adapter on one end and the Jr. mouthpiece? All these glass adapters and whip tubing stuff confuses me.

It's not a 18mm male to male it's like a 10 (straight) male to a 18 male 'L' shaped.

And the other end can fit over juniors straw.
You should be able to buy the 18mm right angle adapter direct from Sticky Brick Labs along with the whip tubing. I got a similar adapter with my Hydro add-on for the OG Brick. I ordered 14mm but 18mm is an option.

hi! very interesting topic and product here!! I have a few questions please:
-I had some lung issues (pneumothorax) and I want to know if it's harsh on lung or throat? (may I choose the OG over the junior for that matter?)
and if it's okay to inhale the butane? (I know there are better butane than other)
Thanx guys

The OG is less harsh on my lungs than the junior. And for butane, its by products of combustion with a jet flame torch are CO2 and H2O. Nothing to be concerned about. Using higher quality butane and a decent torch, I would think you would have nothing to worry about.

thanx for this @Lookatmeglow I wanted the OG more but they don't have it right now at vapefiend...they have the junior or the Dynavap Ti Woody s...I have to think about that but they are both great product and I can't go wrong ;-) (maybe +1 for the "click" of dynavap who allowed a better feedback of the temperature and be sure to not combust)

I've had some lower respiratory issues myself. My advice is no matter which Brick you choose, it's always good to add additional filters. I put a small layer of organic cotton under the mouthpiece of the junior and an extra steel screen as well. It makes a huge difference in smoothing out the vapor and eliminating particulates which is very important to me now. And really it applies to any vaporizer; I put a tiny bit of the cotton in the air path of all my vapes. The Junior has so little draw resistance that putting additional filter(s) in it is a no-brainer for me and results in very smooth vapor with less irritation to my tubes.

As for the lighters, you're not inhaling anything except c02/h20 vapor so long as you get a high quality brand of refined butane (colibri, puretane, vector, newport, etc) and a lighter that works properly.

The Jr can absolutely be as smooth as the Sr, I actually have been liking mine even more lately and i am fairly sensitive myself. The bending vaporpath is what makes it so smooth with two turns in wood and glass not to mention you could connect it to water or even length it with mods. It really comes down to your technique with the torch (keep the flame small so you can stick it right in the intake) and how you inhale, this being an extremely pure convection vape, on demand and totally manual. The wider (and longer) vapor path of the Sr actually gives you more volume of vapor too so it can be smoother but also harsher in my experience, of course you can stick hemp fiber (supposed to be better than cotton) to use as a filter and it will fit in the Jr mouthpiece really well, then you can eventually vape the reclaim from it too. Jr is really phenomenal vape, I definitely prefer it to my VapCap (which is also nice and unique!)

but I dont think that even premium butane with almost no impurities is really considered safe. I mean, most of us dont know what these impurities are. they could be really harmful even in that small doses.
to be honest i have never heard of somebody having health issues by inhaling COMBUSTED butane. what I think is there are health issues over a long time period I guess.

I believe sitting at a street while a lot of cars are passing by is much more dangerous.

And whats about the vapour? Look at your vaping devices and the lot of reclaim building up there.
Everybody here is worrried about smallest amounts of something. Does anyone care about the reclaim in his lungs? Sounds a little bit ridicilous or not? ;)

I'm feeling that turn resistance of in- and outtake is increasing over time. Meanwhile I'm worrying about to broke them while turning.
Does anyone else have the same experience?
What are you doing for better sliding?

EDIT: Sorry, I've just seen the last post was from me. Seen to late, Mods

Clean is mine too. But between rubber and glass ist to much turn resistance!? So what cares clean glass inside? ;)
Maybe a little grease, wax, oil between the o-ring and the stem? I'm having the same small issue...I'll let you know what I do to fix it and you do the same?

This isn't the place to discuss butane safety or lack thereof...just to let you know.

But I would think the risk would be just as high eating something cooked on a butane grill? I haven't saw any class action lawsuits suing gas grills for long term damage from butane consumption

@WakeAndVape No, gap between stem and o-ring is clean too. But draw restistant sometimes is so much that I' m fearing to broke the glass while turning it. Perhaps some lubricant which not damages silicone?

... And to be honest I find the only true factor for my usage is flame size. The smaller the better. And then I point the flame across the opening and start drawing on the jr. The draw will bring the flame into the intake glass. I've never combusted with this technique and it keeps me from charring the load too bad also.

Sorry for the dumb question @HD Springer but my English is bad lol...do you mean you don't point the flame directly into the opening but at a 90° angle (across)? Just trying to find the best technique before my cherry Jr came in a few days :-)

It's entirely up to the user and your torches flame size as far as technique. I've found a few techniques that works real good. If my flame is longer I point the torch across the opening. With a short flame that can't reach the load I'll point it at an angle directly in to the intake glass. Basically I point the flame to where it's hitting the other side of the glass intake. This way almost all the air entering the load is heated with the flame. And honestly this is where I get my best non-scorching hits. Thick thick cool vapor.

I will say I'm still finding my way with the Jr. I still can have the blackened scorched loads. If I try it through water I'm almost guaranteed to combust because you lose that instant feed back you get using it stock. For myself I like a short fat flame. The biggest problem is finding a torch that has the fatter flame and that can light at its lowest settings. There are way way more qualified users of this device other then myself though. So hopefully others could chime in if I misled you in any way. Good luck and most of all enjoy.

I haven't been using the Junior that much this winter. I don't spend as much time out and about, and at home I usually reach for my OG Brick. I decided I needed to change that so I've been enjoying using my Junior the past few days.

It needs a little different technique than it's big brother, and isn't quite as smooth because of the shorter vapor path. I actually prefer the more robust vapor profile of the Junior, it's not harsh at all, just has a bit of a bite to it. I believe the e-cig guys call that "throat hit".

This throat hit actually makes it a little easier to judge the vapor temperature. With my OG it's so smooth I mostly rely on visual feedback, and I don't like using it in the dark for that reason. With the Junior I can use it simply by feel, I could probably keep my eyes closed once I have the torch in place.

It's been nice switching it up, and I'm determined not to neglect Junior in the future. It really is a fantastic vaporizer, desktop performance that fits in your pocket, 'nuff said! Stay Sticky everybody!
